My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building
Chapter 461: A Sorry Escape
After one of them shouted and bolted, ten or twenty more Martial Arts Peak Realm experts immediately followed suit, running for their lives.
The Vice Valley Master of Spirit Sword Valley’s expression turned utterly foul. She never imagined they were all such spineless cowards, running off without a second thought.
Half of her people had fled in an instant. She was practically dying of anger, her face turning purple with rage.
But her anger was useless. In truth, she was starting to get scared herself.
Because Chu Feng was just too strong. He was a complete monster.
“Vice Valley Master, that guy is too strong. I don’t think we can beat him. We should run while we still can,” a Martial Arts Limit expert advised her.
He was one of the experts the Vice Valley Master of Spirit Sword Valley had called for help, and he hadn’t thought much of the task at first.
But after crossing blades with Chu Feng, he now knew true terror.
Chu Feng was far stronger than he had anticipated—so much so that he was now terrified to the core, not daring to engage him again.
Though some had fled, many others had not, and the fierce battle between the two sides continued to rage.
The battle raged for more than ten minutes, but Chu Feng was still as fierce and powerful as ever, showing no signs of fatigue.
This left everyone else dumbfounded. ‘What is going on with him?’
Chu Feng had been using the Celestial Sword Technique for over ten minutes, but he was still brimming with energy, looking as if he hadn’t consumed the slightest bit of it. It was utterly terrifying, chilling them to the bone.
‘Does this guy have a universal power bank on him? One with infinite charge?’
“If we retreat now, we’re finished when he comes to our Sect. We absolutely cannot fall back! Everyone, attack together! We’ll kill him first, then we’ll destroy the Celestial Sword Sect. Otherwise, this will never end!” the Vice Valley Master of Spirit Sword Valley said gravely.
She knew she couldn’t just let this go. Otherwise, she would certainly incur Chu Feng’s wrath, and he would come to their Sect for revenge. ‘That guy is a freak of nature; that’s all the more reason he must be killed now.’
“Vice Valley Master of Spirit Sword Valley, you paid me ten Martial Cultivation Spirit Stones to help you. I blocked two of his attacks for you just now, but I still can’t take that brat down. I’m leaving. If you want to die, go ahead and throw your life away. I, for one, have no intention of dying here,” the Martial Arts Limit expert said bluntly.
He wasn’t about to foolishly throw his life away for a mere ten Martial Cultivation Spirit Stones. The critical point was that this fight could easily cost him his life, so he left without the slightest hesitation.
“You! You bastard!” the Vice Valley Master of Spirit Sword Valley screamed in a fit of rage, but cursing did no good.
Of the dozens of Martial Arts Peak Realm experts she had summoned, some were dead and others had fled, leaving her with barely anyone.
What’s more, she herself was starting to feel terrified. She was genuinely afraid of Chu Feng now.
‘The man is too strong. His combat prowess is horrifying, absolutely terrifying. He’s completely unbeatable.’
“Vice Valley Master, what should we do now?” someone asked at that moment, their voice cautious and fearful.
There were now fewer than fifteen of them left. Many had died, and even more had fled.
Anyone capable of reaching the Martial Arts Peak Realm was a veteran of countless life-or-death battles. Thus, in a fight like this, many would naturally flee the moment they sensed the tide turning against them.
It was a simple choice: flee or die. Who would dare to choose the latter?
“Let’s run.” The Vice Valley Master of Spirit Sword Valley was out of options. She barely had any people left.
‘We have to run now while we still can. If we wait any longer, the last few will be gone too. Then, we won’t be able to escape even if we wanted to.’
From a distance, Chu Feng continued to strike with his sword, a cold sneer on his face and his eyes full of contempt.
“Members of Spirit Sword Valley, just you wait! I’ll be paying you a visit soon enough, and I’ll settle the score with you one by one!” Chu Feng’s voice boomed, rolling across more than half of the Big Snow Plateau.
The Vice Valley Master bolted, using every ounce of strength she had, as if her life depended on it. She wished she could sprout a few more legs.
Meanwhile, Xue Bingjian was still fighting Chu Feng. He glanced behind him, shocked to see that the others had fled so quickly. There wasn’t a soul in sight.
Chu Feng slowly advanced on him. ‘Anyone can get away today,’ he thought, ‘but not this guy. He absolutely cannot escape.’
If this man escaped, Chu Feng would have failed to live up to his own word.
After all, he had already declared that he would eradicate the entire Snow Sword Sect to clean house for the Celestial Sword Sect.
‘If I can’t even clean the house properly, wouldn’t that just be slapping myself in the face?’
“I’ll give you one chance to kill yourself. Otherwise, I’ll chop you to bits,” Chu Feng said calmly.
“Chu Feng, you’re impressive. I admit I’ve lost today. But don’t celebrate too soon. In the future, people will storm your Sect, and everyone connected to you will be slaughtered!” Xue Bingjian retorted with a cold sneer.
Seeing the man still had the gall to taunt him, Chu Feng decided he’d heard enough and charged in for the kill.
SLICE! SLICE! SLICE!
The Heaven-Slaying Sword flew out and hacked the man to pieces. He couldn’t be any more dead.
Chu Feng’s eyes were like ice. ‘It’s not like I had any personal grudge against him,’ he thought.
‘But he could only blame himself for being on the wrong side. Besides, those two, Xue Fengjian and Xue Wujian, provoked me more than once.’
