Chapter 462: Spoils of War

  • Next Chapter

Chu Feng gazed at the corpses covering the ground, his eyes cold and emotionless.

He was calm about it all, as if he had expected this outcome all along.

“Old man, we’re heading to the Snow Sword Sect now. We need to hurry, or those guys might have already cleared the place out,” Chu Feng said.

A sense of urgency began to creep in. ‘They’re probably scrambling to pack up their belongings right now.’

Never mind anything else; if they took all the Martial Cultivation Spirit Stones, the loss would be immense. Chu Feng had no intention of letting his spoils of war be whisked away.

“Then what are you waiting for? Let’s go!” Chu Tianshan finally snapped out of it and hurried to catch up.

A moment ago, he had been wondering who he should fight, still trying to size up a worthy opponent.

But in what felt like no time at all, of the more than fifty Martial Arts Peak Realm experts, some were dead, some were injured, and the rest had fled. The scene was utterly staggering.

A feat like this was likely unprecedented. It wasn’t just rare in modern times; it was something that had absolutely not been seen in the last thousand years.

Chu Feng’s combat prowess was simply heaven-defying, so incredible that he could hardly believe his eyes.

“Wait for me!” Chu Tianshan shouted, chasing after Chu Feng.

Chu Feng raced ahead alone at incredible speed.

He made a beeline for the Snow Sword Sect’s headquarters, a place Chu Feng had already thoroughly researched.

He had committed every route and layout to memory, knowing them like the back of his hand.

Soon, Chu Feng took a shortcut and arrived within the Snow Sword Sect’s grounds.

Here, the disciples of the Snow Sword Sect were still awake, all of them awaiting good news.

“All three of the Snow Sword Sect’s Martial Arts Peak experts are dead. The rest of you are to disperse immediately. Otherwise, I will show no mercy!” Chu Feng declared coldly, a murderous glint in his eyes.

His voice boomed, shaking the entire Snow Sword Sect headquarters.

Terrified by his voice, the Snow Sword Sect disciples scattered in every direction, not daring to disobey.

Then, Chu Feng kicked down the door to the Snow Sword Sect’s treasure vault.

Inside the treasure vault, several Foundation Establishment Realm experts stood guard. After all, this was where an entire Sect stored its treasures.

The three guards had intended to attack, but when they saw that Chu Feng was at the Martial Arts Peak Realm, they could only retreat obediently. They didn’t dare to make a move, for they feared death.

The three of them knew they stood no chance fighting an expert at the Martial Arts Peak Realm.

If they dared to clash with Chu Feng, there would be only one result: all three would be killed instantly.

After walking into the treasure vault, he found it wasn’t filled with Cultivation Resources as he had imagined.

Instead, it was mostly filled with rare worldly treasures. While they would fetch a high price in the outside world, in Chu Feng’s eyes, they were all useless junk.

He had no lack of money; to him, it was worthless.

Only Cultivation Resources were truly valuable to Chu Feng, as they were the most useful.

There were also some weapons of decent quality, but they were all mundane items, nothing special. Since they weren’t Magical Artifacts, Chu Feng naturally had no interest in them.

Although they were useless and uninteresting to Chu Feng, they were still quite valuable to the Chu Family.

‘We’ll just have them all moved out later.’

Next, Chu Feng made his way to the Scripture Pavilion.

This place represented the foundation of a Sect, housing its collection of Cultivation Techniques and Martial Arts Manuals.

Naturally, Chu Feng looked down on them. After all, the Snow Sword Sect had only been established for a few hundred years.

However, these were treasures to the Chu Family. After all, the Snow Sword Sect had managed to produce several experts at the Martial Arts Peak.

“Where are the treasures? Where are they?” Chu Tianshan shouted as he finally caught up, panting heavily, completely unable to match Chu Feng’s pace.

He began to look around, eager to find the Snow Sword Sect’s treasures.

“They’re in the building in front of you,” Chu Feng said. “You can call for people to come move everything out now.”

“What are you doing over there? Is there anything good?” Chu Tianshan asked, seeing Chu Feng peering out at him from another building.

“What are you doing over there?” Chu Tianshan asked.

“This is the Scripture Pavilion. I’m just looking around. You should hurry and call your people,” Chu Feng said.

“Right, right, right,” Chu Tianshan said. “Cars can’t make it up here. I’ll call for a dozen or so helicopters. That should be enough to haul it all away.”

“You handle it,” Chu Feng said, uninterested in managing the logistics.

“Just hurry. No one will be coming here for a while,” Chu Feng said.

Everyone knew Chu Feng was cleaning house, and no one would dare to come looking for trouble right now—unless they had a death wish.

“Okay. I’ll contact Wang Hong right now and have him arrange everything,” Chu Tianshan nodded.

‘As long as we can get all this stuff out, any cost is worth it. I’d even buy helicopters overnight if I had to.’

After all, this was the entire foundation of a Sect. The thought made Chu Tianshan burn with excitement.

Chu Feng paid him no mind, instead immersing himself in the texts. He wanted to see if he could glean any insights from these Martial Arts Manuals; after all, the techniques left behind by one’s predecessors always had some value as a reference.
