Worse, he was being humiliated like this in front of his own parents. It was more than he could bear.

So he charged again, determined to take Chu Feng down.

But he didn’t get far before another kick from Chu Feng sent him flying.

THUD!

A single kick from Chu Feng nearly sent Little Overlord Hei Tian flying out the door.

And that was with Chu Feng intentionally holding back. He’d used very little force, but it was still enough to beat the guy half to death.

In just ten-odd minutes, Chu Feng had beaten Little Overlord Hei Tian until his head was swollen. His body was covered in footprints, a testament to the countless kicks he’d taken.

He was beaten half-dead, nearly drawing his last breath. And this was with Chu Feng holding back. If Chu Feng hadn’t restrained himself, the guy would probably be dead already.

Throughout it all, Little Overlord Hei Tian’s parents kept trying to intervene, but Chu Feng blocked them every time.

Seeing how Hei Tian remained so vicious, however, the elderly couple grew extremely disappointed.

They’d thought he would have learned his lesson after getting out of prison, but he was still just as vicious. He hadn’t changed one bit.

"Hei Tian, is this all you’ve got? And you have the nerve to claim you were making a living out there? It’s a miracle you haven’t been beaten to death already."

"I could almost forgive you for being an arrogant thug out there, but you dare come back to the village and act like this? Who the hell do you think you are? Threatening and intimidating your own neighbors... Has your conscience been eaten by a dog?" Chu Feng snapped.

He was so furious with Little Overlord Hei Tian’s actions that he wanted nothing more than to beat him to death.

"Go on, then! Kill me if you have the guts!" Little Overlord Hei Tian screamed hysterically.

"Heh. Kill you? I wouldn’t want to dirty my hands," Chu Feng said. "If you have any shred of dignity as a man, you’ll go apologize, pay what you owe, and that’s it. Raise your fish, but don’t you dare pollute this water!"

"How am I supposed to raise fish without feed? If I don’t raise fish, what am I supposed to eat? With my record, no one will even hire me! Do you want me to starve? Or should I go back to robbing and stealing?" Little Overlord Hei Tian roared, his eyes blazing with fury.

"Cut the crap and go apologize!" Chu Feng said, anger flaring in his own eyes.

’If this guy still doesn’t get it, I’ll just have to give him a few more hard kicks.’

"I’ll go! I’ll go!" Little Overlord Hei Tian was suddenly terrified. Seeing Chu Feng tense up as if to move again, he immediately backed down.

After all, Chu Feng’s blows were truly vicious, as if he really was trying to kill him.

’Another kick like that could probably kill me.’

"If you’re going, then get up!" Chu Feng said.

Wincing in pain, Little Overlord Hei Tian struggled to his feet.

His face was a wreck, his cheeks grotesquely swollen. After the severe beating he’d taken, there wasn’t a single part of his body that didn’t ache.

"Go apologize," Chu Feng said coldly.

The owner of the reservoir was also from Fuhe Village. Since everyone was from the same village, no one had made a fuss. Besides, Chu Feng had built them all villas, and life had improved for everyone.

"I’ll go get the contract," Little Overlord Hei Tian said.

Chu Feng was definitely going to make him sign a new contract.

After all, the price on the current contract was a total rip-off. It also needed to include some clear restrictions: raising fish was fine, but polluting the water source was absolutely forbidden.

Otherwise, life would become difficult for the villagers downstream, who had the river running right past their homes.

If the river was made to stink, it would make daily life unbearable.

The two of them then went to the reservoir owner’s house.

"Uncle Wang," Chu Feng called out as he walked in.

"Xiao Feng, is that you? And you’ve brought Hei Tian... What...?" Uncle Wang seemed a bit baffled. He never expected Chu Feng to show up with Little Overlord Hei Tian in tow.

Chu Feng then ordered Little Overlord Hei Tian to kneel.

To avoid another beating, Little Overlord Hei Tian could only comply and kneel down obediently.

SLAP!

He slapped himself hard across the face. "Uncle Wang, I’m sorry..." he said.

"Uncle Wang, this guy has been bullying his own neighbors, so I taught him a lesson," Chu Feng explained.

"My... he’s so badly hurt! Hurry, come inside. I’ll get some ointment for you," Uncle Wang said, his face paling at the sight. He was clearly a little frightened.

The beating had been too severe. His entire head was swollen, and he was bleeding. It was a miserable sight.

All in all, it was a wretched state, difficult to look at.

"It’s fine. They’re just minor injuries," Chu Feng said, handing the contract to Uncle Wang. "Here’s the contract."

"Hei Tian," Uncle Wang said, "are you sure you don’t want to lease it anymore? The payment was a little low, I admit, but we’re all from the same village. I can let it slide. It’s not like I depend on the reservoir to make a living. But you really, really shouldn’t have polluted the water. Everyone’s going to have a problem with that. Come on in first, let me get some medicine for you."

"Yes, let’s get his wounds treated first. We can talk about the rest later," Chu Feng said. "Uncle Wang, this kid wouldn’t have come here and behaved himself if I hadn’t given him a beating."
