Chapter 479: Pregnant

With Chu Feng’s current Divine Soul Strength, it was a simple matter for him to see what was wrong with Su Miaoke’s body.

His ability to scan with his Divine Soul was comparable to some high-tech scanner, able to detect even the most minor of ailments.

When Chu Feng released his Divine Soul to scan her, he completely froze.

Clearly, he had received an immense shock.

“What are you spacing out for? Is there really something wrong with me? Stomach cancer? What is it?” Su Miaoke asked, giving him a little push when she saw his dazed expression.

He then grabbed Su Miaoke’s arm, laid it flat, and began to take her pulse.

“What is it? You’re suddenly acting so strange… you’re scaring me a little,” Su Miaoke said.

After about a minute, Chu Feng finally looked up, staring intently at Su Miaoke. The look in his eyes only made her more anxious.

Chu Feng’s heart was pounding in his chest. He was incredibly excited.

When he had first scanned Su Miaoke’s body with his Divine Soul Power, he had discovered an embryo inside her.

He couldn’t believe it at first, which was why he had taken her pulse to confirm.

After confirming it in these two ways, Chu Feng was certain: his wife was pregnant.

The revelation was a huge shock to Chu Feng. He had never expected his wife to actually be pregnant.

“This is wonderful news! Absolutely wonderful news!” Chu Feng exclaimed, his sudden outburst giving Su Miaoke quite a scare.

“What was that for? Why are you being so jumpy all of a sudden?” Su Miaoke said, a bit exasperated.

When she first saw Chu Feng’s expression, she had assumed something was seriously wrong with her body, which had her worried for quite a while.

But judging from his expression now, it was obvious that nothing was wrong.

“You’re pregnant!” Chu Feng said excitedly.

He had confirmed it twice, and had just scanned her again; the result was the same.

Chu Feng now recalled that Su Miaoke had started feeling nauseous and vomiting on their way home from Great Snow Mountain, but he hadn’t thought much of it at the time.

It seemed she had been pregnant for a while now, probably for almost two months.

Hearing this, Su Miaoke froze for a moment. It took her a while to collect herself before she asked, “Are you sure you’re not messing with me?”

“Don’t worry. I’ve checked several times. It’s definite, you’re pregnant. I saw the embryo inside you, and your pulse shows the signs of pregnancy. If you don’t believe me, we can go to the hospital and get it checked right now,” Chu Feng said.

“Okay, let’s go check now,” Su Miaoke said with a nod. In truth, she was both excited and apprehensive.

She and Chu Feng had been married for so long, but she had never gotten pregnant. More than once, this had made her think something was wrong with her body.

But she had never dared to say it out loud, choosing to keep it silently bottled up inside.

This feeling had made her miserable deep down.

Chu Feng was so powerful that there was certainly nothing wrong with him physically, so she had always worried the problem was hers.

Impatient, Su Miaoke pulled Chu Feng toward their house, wanting to get the car.

“Slow down. Why are you in such a hurry? You have to be careful now. Don’t fall,” Chu Feng said with concern.

Su Miaoke was different now. She was carrying a child; there couldn’t be any mishaps.

“You’re right, you’re right. I need to be careful now,” Su Miaoke nodded in delighted surprise, her pace slowing as she began to walk with caution.

She was absolutely thrilled, as she had been hoping to get pregnant for a very long time.

“Hahaha, I’m going to be a dad!” Chu Feng laughed, absolutely overjoyed.

In truth, Chu Feng had been worried too and was just about to suggest to Su Miaoke that they start trying more diligently to have a baby.

After all, as his power continued to grow, it would only become more difficult to have children.

The stronger a person’s power, the more difficult it was to bear offspring. It was as if some mysterious, ineffable force was standing in the way.

The two of them quickly returned home, got in the car, and drove to the county hospital.

After they arrived at the hospital and she had the tests done, the two of them started waiting outside for the results.

The entire way there, Chu Feng had been incredibly excited, unable to calm himself down.

He wasn’t young anymore, nearly thirty years old. They’d been officially married for over a year and still didn’t have a child; he had actually been looking forward to one this whole time.

Now that they were having a child, his excitement and delight were beyond words.

Even though he already knew the result was that Su Miaoke was pregnant, waiting here for the results still made him incredibly excited, his heart pounding and his hands trembling.

About half an hour later, Su Miaoke walked out holding the results.

Su Miaoke was beaming, her eyes curving into crescents as she smiled brightly.

One look at her expression was enough to know the answer was yes.

“Well?” Chu Feng asked with a smile.

“It’s positive. It’s been 59 days,” Su Miaoke said with a smile.

“I told you so. It was definite. My intuition is never wrong,” Chu Feng said.
