“How is my master doing now? Did you do something to him? Is he still alive?” Li Zhengyi stared at Chu Feng, his eyes filled with a hint of fury.

Clearly, he believed Chu Feng had something to do with his master’s disappearance.

In fact, it wasn’t just him; anyone in his shoes would likely think the same.

“What do you think I would do to your master? Why would I kill him? But you guessed right—your master is gone. He should have left some last words for you, though,” Chu Feng said.

“How is that possible? That’s absolutely impossible! My master was incredibly strong. How could he die? What is this bullshit Celestial Tribulation? I’ve never heard of it,” Li Zhengyi asked, gritting his teeth.

He refused to believe any of it, especially not what Chu Feng was saying.

He and his master had depended on each other for years; their bond was as close as family, true kin.

“The Celestial Tribulation is what a Martial Cultivator faces when their power reaches a certain level and they try to advance further. If you pass it, you can naturally continue your Cultivation. If you don’t, you die instantly!”

“Your master died during his Tribulation Crossing. He endured until the ninth bolt of Celestial Thunder before he fell,” Chu Feng said.

“I don’t believe you! Everything you’re saying must be a lie! It’s impossible!” Li Zhengyi roared, refusing to believe a word of it.

He couldn’t accept that his master had died just like that, without him even getting to see him one last time.

“It doesn’t matter if you believe it or not. The whole reason your master had you participate in the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony was to send you away. Think about it. With your master’s power, would he really be lacking an Essence Enhancing Pill? If he truly needed one, he could have just asked a few friends. Why would he need you to go win it at the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony?” Chu Feng said.

Hearing Chu Feng’s words, he felt like he was on the verge of going insane.

“No! Master, why would you do this?!” Li Zhengyi roared at the sky, his entire being consumed by agony. His eyes turned red as tears welled up.

Because he knew Chu Feng was right. It all made perfect sense.

He had schemed and fought so hard, paying any price to win first place in the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony, truly believing he could save his master’s life. But he never imagined it was all just an excuse his master used to send him away.

“There’s no why. Your master was incredibly strong to have reached this stage of Cultivation. The vast majority of Martial Cultivators, even experts at the Martial Arts Limit, have never even heard of the Celestial Tribulation. Even the legendary Heaven-Slaying Sword Emperor never faced a tribulation. For your master to have come this far is already an incredible feat.”

“You don’t need to grieve too much. Before your master died, he asked me to look after you. Give me your contact info, and I’ll send you the location where he died. You can go look for it yourself. It’s an unnamed island out at sea,” Chu Feng said.

“Did my master say anything else to you at the end?” Li Zhengyi pressed.

His eyes were full of hope, as if he desperately wished his master had left a final message for him.

“No, that was all he said to me. Besides, Crossing the Tribulation is something you’ll inevitably face once you reach that realm. Your master had no experience to pass on to you; you can only endure it yourself. And no one can help you when you’re Crossing the Tribulation.”

“That’s why I could only watch from the sidelines the entire time, unable to intervene,” Chu Feng said.

After that, Chu Feng added Li Zhengyi’s contact information and sent him the location.

“Fine. Chu Feng, I will investigate this matter thoroughly. If it turns out my master didn’t die Crossing the Tribulation, you’re finished. I will kill you!” Li Zhengyi said through gritted teeth.

“What the hell does this have to do with me? I only told you all this because I felt sorry for you and because your master asked me to. If it were anyone else, I wouldn’t have even bothered with you. Now get the hell out,” Chu Feng said, thoroughly annoyed with the guy.

He had been kind enough to tell him the whole story, but this guy had the nerve to suspect him and even threaten to kill him. How could Chu Feng not be furious?

“It’s another one of these people. You should really stay out of things like this in the future. First, it was the Celestial Sword Sect Leader who wanted to kill you right off the bat, and now this guy. You should stop getting involved in stuff like this,” Su Miaoke said, worried for Chu Feng’s safety.

“Don’t worry about them. Let him do whatever he wants. The Cloud Mist Sect might be extraordinary, with their special Divine Soul Cultivation Techniques, but if that guy pisses me off, I’ll still take him out!” Chu Feng said bluntly.

“So, when you said you were going to the Misty Immortal Mountain, it was related to the Cloud Mist Sect, then,” Su Miaoke asked.

“Yeah. The Sect Leader of the Cloud Mist Sect was the one who told me about it, so I have to make a trip to the Misty Immortal Mountain,” Chu Feng said.

“Will it be dangerous there?” Su Miaoke asked worriedly.

“It’ll definitely be dangerous, but don’t worry. With my strength, I’ll be fine,” Chu Feng said confidently.
