That was why, when one needed to look up information or investigate people, even many Major Sects would turn to these smaller sects.

Though these sects were small, the information they provided was extremely accurate, which was why many Major Sects were fond of using them.

“Is Chu Feng’s entire family in there?” the Vice Valley Master of Spirit Sword Valley asked.

“They’re all there,” the man said, nodding.

“Hmph, let’s wait for nightfall; it’s easier to get things done in the dark. Chu Feng is incredibly strong. No one can afford to be careless. We must kill him at the first possible moment.” Just then, an old woman stepped out from the side.

Her hair was entirely white and coiled up. She leaned on a cane, and it was she who had spoken in such a cold tone.

She was the Valley Master of Spirit Sword Valley. She too had come here, for the sole purpose of killing Chu Feng.

“The Netherworld Sect’s Enchanting Fragrance should work, right?” the Vice Valley Master of Spirit Sword Valley said.

“Of course it will. Even an expert at the Martial Arts Limit cannot resist the Netherworld Sect’s Enchanting Fragrance,” the Valley Master of Spirit Sword Valley said.

“Good. Then we’ll wait until midnight. Everyone else will be asleep, and even if Chu Feng isn’t, he’ll most likely be in deep Cultivation. That will be the safest time to make our move,” the Vice Valley Master of Spirit Sword Valley said.

The reason she was being so cautious was mainly that Chu Feng had terrified her.

After all, Chu Feng’s combat prowess that day had completely shattered her understanding of power. She was terrified of facing him when he was fully unleashed; if that happened, she would be utterly slaughtered.

To stand against Chu Feng in a fight was almost impossible.

“Hmph, so it’s settled. No matter what, Chu Feng must be eliminated tonight. He’s far too strong and dangerous. Otherwise, the safety and security of our Spirit Sword Valley will be severely threatened,” the Valley Master of Spirit Sword Valley said.

For every day Chu Feng lived, the people of Spirit Sword Valley would live in fear.

Only by eliminating Chu Feng for good would they be able to relax and stop worrying.

In truth, these plotters didn’t know that Chu Feng had already left and was, at this very moment, on his way back.

Just then, the Celestial Sword Sect Leader emerged alone. She strolled leisurely toward the back mountain, carrying something that looked like jars of wine.

This sight gave the Spirit Sword Valley Cultivators hiding in the back mountain forest quite a scare.

Everyone held their breath, not daring to make a sound for fear of being discovered by the Celestial Sword Sect Leader.

Clearly, none of them had expected the Celestial Sword Sect Leader to be here.

They simply watched as the Celestial Sword Sect Leader disappeared from view.

In reality, the Celestial Sword Sect Leader just wanted to go have a chat with her father.

Because the original gravesite was too far away, Chu Feng had since relocated it to the back mountain, which was closer and more convenient.

Although the Celestial Sword Sect Leader hated the Heaven-Slaying Sword Emperor to the bone, she couldn’t change the fact that they were related by blood. The Heaven-Slaying Sword Emperor was her father, and that was something she could never escape.

Years ago, her mother had never forgotten the man, muttering his name even on her deathbed.

“How is that woman, Celestial Sword, here? What is going on? When did she arrive?” The Vice Valley Master of Spirit Sword Valley’s face was a mask of shock.

“Didn’t you get clear intel? Why didn’t you tell us the Celestial Sword Sect Leader was here?” she demanded, questioning the Martial Cultivator from the small sect standing nearby.

“Th-this… we didn’t see her. We had no intelligence on it,” the Martial Cultivator from the small sect explained. “She might have arrived yesterday. Our information was from the night before last. We must have been careless then and missed the Celestial Sword Sect Leader’s arrival.”

“Fuck! What the hell are we supposed to do now? With that old hag here, making our move will be a huge pain. Her power is terrifying,” the Vice Valley Master of Spirit Sword Valley was so furious she could have coughed up blood.

“Don’t worry. One more person just means one more person to kill. It’s even better for us,” the Valley Master of Spirit Sword Valley said. “We just need to be extra careful. We absolutely cannot let her notice us.”

“Right. Let’s wait and see. Did it look like she was carrying wine? Where would she be sneaking off to drink alone this late at night?” the Vice Valley Master of Spirit Sword Valley said, puzzled.

“Oh, her? She’s going to pay respects to her late father. The tomb of the Heaven-Slaying Sword Emperor is on that back mountain,” the man from the small sect said.

“So that’s how it is. The daughter of the Heaven-Slaying Sword Emperor… If I recall correctly, isn’t that brat Chu Feng the one who received the Heaven-Slaying Sword Emperor’s inheritance?” the Valley Master of Spirit Sword Valley mused.

She hadn’t attended the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony, nor had she been to the Big Snow Plateau, so she didn’t know the full details, having only heard rumors.

“That’s right. That brat Chu Feng did receive the Heaven-Slaying Sword Emperor’s inheritance. The Heaven-Slaying Sword has now reappeared in the world. And it’s not just the Celestial Sword Sect Leader—many disciples of the Celestial Sword Sect and the Chu Family now know the Heaven-Slaying Sword Technique.”

“Therefore, after we eliminate Chu Feng and the Celestial Sword Sect Leader tonight, the Celestial Sword Sect and the Chu Family cannot be spared either. They must be completely eradicated!” the Vice Valley Master of Spirit Sword Valley declared.
