“Make way, make way! We’re here to take the brides home. We can’t be late for the auspicious day!”

“Whoa there! You haven’t given us what we’re due. How can we let you on the elevator?”

However, upon entering the hotel…

…the first obstacle appeared.

The sisters’ relatives—their cousin and other younger members of the Liu Family—were standing at the elevator entrance, completely blocking the way and holding out their hands for red envelopes.

“Red envelopes? You think this is thick enough?” Wei Zhen pulled out an absurdly thick red envelope and stuffed it into the cousin’s arms.

“I’ve got more,” Liu Nan said with a flourish, opening his jacket. He pulled out a huge wad of red bills from an inner pocket—at least tens of thousands of yuan. He waved it in front of the younger relatives. “Go ahead, take it!”

Liu Nan tossed the whole wad into the air.

Instantly, a shower of red bills fluttered down. The scene was nothing short of stunning.

The two bellhops at the hotel entrance stared, dumbfounded. ‘Which family’s young master is this rich? So much money just for the red envelopes to get on the elevator?’

In truth, the head butler, Pei Youwen, had already arranged everything. He had prepared a substantial amount of cash for the groomsmen to hand out in red envelopes, instructing them to make it rain. The plan was to create a distraction as people scrambled for the money, then slip through in the chaos.

Liu Nan and the others had immediately agreed.

‘Throwing money around? Easiest job in the world.’

‘And it sounds like a blast!’

Sure enough, as the bills rained down, everyone started pushing and shoving, scrambling to grab them.

Wei Zhen, not to be outdone, pulled another wad of cash from his pocket and tossed it into the air as well.

Then, Ji Hai pushed from behind while Mo Nana seized the opportunity to press the elevator button.

The moment the elevator doors opened, the group swarmed in, practically squeezing Chen Yuan inside.

“Easy, guys, you’re crushing me,” Chen Yuan said with a helpless laugh.

“If you’re not in a hurry to get your brides, when will you be?”

“Close the doors, quick!”

They had successfully cleared the first hurdle.

As the elevator ascended, Mo Nana joked from the side.

“How much money did Pei give you guys to be throwing around like that?”

“A whole lot,” Liu Nan unbuttoned his suit jacket. His four pockets were stuffed with so many red envelopes and wads of cash it was dizzying. “Take a look, Na.”

“Spending the company’s money just like that? I’m going to have a talk with him later,” Mo Nana huffed.

The wedding was, of course, being paid for by Chen Yuan’s Bauhinia Company—the only company he solely and fully controlled.

DING—

The elevator doors opened.

Liu Nan saw a group of older aunties blocking the hallway and immediately pulled the same trick.

“Time for red envelopes!”

he yelled, once again tossing cash into the air.

As they shrieked and scrambled for the money, Liu Nan shielded Chen Yuan and charged down the hall.

Undoubtedly.

Inside the bridal suite.

The two sisters and their bridesmaids could already hear the commotion outside. They held their breath, exchanging quick glances.

They rushed to block the door.

“They’re here, they’re here!”

“Quick, hold it shut!”

“Are the shoes hidden?”

“Hidden!”

BANG BANG BANG—

“Dearest bridesmaids, please open the door! We’ve come to take you home!” Liu Nan yelled.

“Who wants to go home with you?” Gu Wanqing retorted, rolling her eyes.

Instantly.

A burst of laughter erupted on both sides of the door.

“My mistake! Our groom is here to take his two brides home. Can you open the door now?”

“We can open the door, sure, but you have to show us some sincerity first.”

“Alright, I’ll slide some red envelopes under. Can you at least open a crack?”

“Can’t you just slide them under the door?”

“The gap’s too narrow. Our envelopes are too thick; they won’t fit.”

“Slide a few bills under first to show us you’re serious.”

Resigned, the groomsmen had no choice but to start feeding red bills under the door one by one.

Their hands were getting tired from all the stuffing, and they figured it had to be enough. They knocked on the door again.

“Ladies, is that enough sincerity for now? Open the door a crack, and there’s even more waiting for you.”

“Nice try! The second we open it, you’ll all charge in. There’s no way we could stop you!”

“We won’t, I swear! A gentleman’s word is his bond,” Liu Nan said, patting the door, vowing, “I promise I’ll just slip the envelopes through. We’ll wait until you say you’re satisfied.”

“Really?” Wan asked.

“I swear on my honor.”

At this, some of the men outside started snickering.

‘Liu Nan has no honor to swear on in the first place.’

With a CLICK, the lock turned. Everyone held their breath. On the other side, Wan was still saying, “Just a tiny crack, okay…”

However, the instant the doorknob began to turn…

…the groomsmen pushed with all their might.

The flimsy door couldn’t withstand the incredible force and flew open. Liu Nan stumbled and fell flat on his face inside the room.

The bridesmaids shrieked.

“Ow! That really hurt!”

Ignoring Liu Nan’s wails, the group swarmed around Chen Yuan and entered the room.

“Red envelopes for everyone! One for each of you,” Chen Yuan said with a broad smile, handing them out. Of course, he didn’t forget to give the biggest one to Wan.

A moment later.

He made his way to the back of the room.

There, the first person to catch his eye was Jiangg Ning, resplendent and graceful in her festive red gown.

Even though he had seen her beauty countless times, Chen Yuan was still stunned as their eyes met.

Then, his gaze shifted to Jiangg Yao’s face.

Yaoyao’s eyes were full of shy happiness as she smiled, her lips pressed gently together.

…

「Soon, it was noon.」

“And now, let’s welcome our three newlyweds to the stage!”

Empress Hotel.

At the center of the wedding stage on the lawn.

Chen Yuan stood in the middle, his left arm linked with Ningning’s and his right with Yaoyao’s.

He was dressed sharply in a suit, while Jiangg Ning and Jiangg Yao stood beside him in gorgeous wedding gowns.

With a POP, a sky full of flower petals began to rain down as a beautiful, flowing melody began to play, its soothing notes drifting through the air.

“I now declare this wedding officially begun!” the emcee announced in a solemn voice.

…

“I feel like I’m dreaming,” Jiangg Yao said, tears of joy welling in her eyes as she stood on stage in her wedding gown. “Chen Yuan, I’m finally marrying you.”

“How could it be a dream…” Chen Yuan said softly. He raised his hand to pat Jiangg Yao’s head, then glanced at Jiangg Ning beside him. “From this day forward, no matter what happens, the three of us are bound together.”

“No, it should be four of us,” Jiangg Ning said, her eyes sparkling as she tilted her head to look at him.

All eyes were fixed on the stage.

They watched the three figures standing under the dazzling white lights.

But Chen Yuan’s gaze remained locked on Ningning’s eyes.

‘This has to be the happiest day of my life.’

For a moment, he found himself choking up.

“It seems our groom and two brides are quite emotional. Now, please, dry your tears…”

The emcee, Mo Nana, turned to the crowd and said softly:

“And now, I will tell you the story of how these three people’s destinies became intertwined. It is a very romantic love story.”
