My Pervert Sytem

Chapter 158: Golden Lobby and the Hound

  • Next Chapter

The opulent lobby of the Obsidian Vault descended into a suffocating, terrifying stillness. The wealthy aristocrats and corrupt merchants froze, their expensive wine glasses trembling in their hands.

The man in the black military coat stood at the edge of the VIP lounge. His pale, glowing eyes swept across the room, carrying the detached, chilling authority of an apex predator.

A Tier One Grandmaster was not just a title; it was a physical manifestation of raw, insurmountable power. The air around him visibly warped, bending light and crushing the ambient energy of everyone present.

Valeriana took a slow, unsteady step backward. The beautiful spy gripped the fabric of her crimson silk gown, her knuckles turning white. She recognized the silver crest of the Divination Court stitched over his breast pocket.

"That is Kaelen," Valeriana whispered, her voice barely carrying over the rattling of the crystal chandeliers. "He is Lady Morgana’s personal hound. He specializes in foresight and spatial severing."

Leon did not reach for a weapon, primarily because he had left his heavy blunt steel behind in the carriage to maintain his highborn disguise.

He stood perfectly relaxed, his hands resting casually at his sides, though his internal kinetic energy coiled tight like a compressed spring.

"A foresight specialist," Leon murmured, a dark feral grin spreading across his face. "Let us see if he predicted getting his jaw broken today."

Kaelen sneered, floating gracefully down the marble steps. His polished boots did not make a single sound against the golden tiles.

"You possess an interesting vessel, feral dog," the Grandmaster stated, his voice echoing directly into the minds of everyone in the lobby. "But brute force is a primitive tool. It belongs in the mud, not in the sacred halls of the empire."

The corrupt nobles finally broke their paralyzing fear. Panic erupted like a match tossed into a powder keg. Men and women in exquisite silk finery shrieked, scrambling frantically toward the main bronze doors to escape the impending bloodbath.

Kaelen did not even blink. He raised a single, gloved finger.

A dense wave of shimmering, razor-sharp aura manifested in the air. The invisible threads of spatial magic whipped across the lobby, violently slicing through the heavy mahogany counters and shattering the massive crystal chandeliers.

The falling glass rained down on the screaming aristocrats, creating a chaotic, deafening symphony of destruction.

Leon moved instantly. He grabbed Valeriana by the waist and violently threw them both behind a thick bronze support column just as a spatial thread carved a deep, smoking trench directly through the golden floor where they had been standing.

"Stay out of sight," Leon commanded, drawing the twin hidden daggers from beneath his velvet jacket. The small blades felt practically weightless in his hands, completely inadequate for parrying a Grandmaster’s manifested aura, but he refused to back down.

He blurred into motion, abandoning the cover of the bronze column.

Leon activated his spatial footwork, folding the physical distance to materialize directly in Kaelen’s blind spot.

He thrust the twin daggers toward the assassin’s neck with terrifying, blinding speed, aiming to end the fight in a single brutal strike.

But Kaelen was already moving.

The Divination hound did not need to see the attack. He had calculated the exact trajectory a fraction of a second before Leon even stepped out of the shadows. The Grandmaster casually leaned to the left, allowing the daggers to harmlessly pierce the empty air.

Before Leon could pivot, Kaelen drove an open palm directly into Leon’s ribs.

The sheer concussive impact of the Tier One strike bypassed Leon’s natural physical resilience. It felt like being hit by a runaway freight train. The air violently rushed out of his lungs as his ribs groaned in agonizing protest.

Leon was launched backward, rocketing across the massive lobby and crashing heavily through a reinforced teller’s desk. Splintered wood and scattered gold coins rained down around him as he tumbled into the far wall.

He coughed up a splash of dark blood, dragging himself out of the debris.

His boundless vitality aggressively fought the internal damage, knitting the micro-fractures in his chest, but the pain was blinding.

A Tier One Grandmaster was a literal walking titan, and without his main weapon, the gap in their combat capability was glaringly obvious.

"You move quickly for a creature with no lineage," Kaelen mocked, slowly walking across the ruined golden tiles. Shimmering threads of manifested aura coiled around his forearms like deadly serpents. "But I see your every intention before your primitive brain even sends the signal to your muscles. You cannot strike what has already moved."

Leon spat a wad of blood onto the ruined floor. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, refusing to let the arrogant assassin see a single ounce of doubt.

"If you can see the future, you should probably duck," Leon replied chillingly.

He aggressively channeled his kinetic energy, pouring a massive surge of raw power directly into the shattered debris surrounding him.

He slammed his palms against the ground, unleashing a concentrated shockwave that forcefully launched hundreds of jagged wooden splinters and heavy gold coins directly at the Grandmaster like a storm of bullets.

Kaelen sighed, raising his hands. A dense shield of spatial aura flickered to life, effortlessly absorbing the high-velocity shrapnel.

But the debris was only a distraction.

Leon chained the attack with a violent forward sprint, closing the gap in a fraction of a second. He abandoned the daggers entirely, relying purely on brutal, unarmed combat.

He unleashed a devastating combination of heavy hooks and sweeping kicks, attempting to overwhelm the assassin’s precognition with sheer overwhelming volume.

The grand lobby became a battlefield of catastrophic proportions. Every missed punch from Leon cratered the solid gold floor or violently shattered a bronze support pillar.

Yet Kaelen weaved through the chaotic assault with terrifying grace. He sidestepped a brutal uppercut, parried a sweeping kick with a manifested aura shield, and retaliated with a sharp, precise strike to Leon’s shoulder that sliced clean through his velvet jacket and bit deeply into his flesh.

Blood sprayed across the golden tiles. Leon gritted his teeth, suppressing the burning agony as the spatial magic attempted to aggressively sever his muscle fibers.

He was losing a war of attrition, outmaneuvered by a man who treated hand-to-hand combat like a rehearsed dance.

A sudden, sharp chime interrupted the deafening roar of battle. The digital interface aggressively projected a glowing pink text box directly over the flying shards of crystal glass.

[System Directive: The Warlord’s Distraction]

[The Divination hound reads your violent intentions perfectly. But a true warlord knows that perverted, shameless actions are entirely unpredictable to a disciplined mind.]

[Action Required: Abandon the assault. Fall back to the bronze pillar, pull the terrified spy into your arms, and aggressively kiss her neck while maintaining eye contact with the assassin.]

[Reward: +25 Agility, 700 Shameless Points.]

Leon did not hesitate. He did not read the penalty. He simply grinned a bloody, feral smile, embracing the absolute absurdity of the command.

He violently aborted his combat stance mid-punch. Instead of following through with a heavy strike, he activated his movement technique, rapidly folding the spatial distance to retreat back toward the thick bronze column where Valeriana was hiding.

Kaelen paused, his pale eyes narrowing in genuine confusion. The foresight magic had predicted a relentless, suicidal assault, not a sudden tactical retreat.

Leon materialized right next to the beautiful information broker. Valeriana gasped, her dark eyes wide with terror as she saw the blood soaking through his ruined velvet suit.

"Leon, you are bleeding," she choked out, reaching desperately for his torn lapels.

He didn’t answer with words. He grabbed her narrow waist, hauling her flush against his solid, burning chest.

He tilted her head to the side and aggressively pressed his warm, blood-stained lips against the sensitive curve of her neck.

Valeriana shrieked softly, a massive jolt of blinding electricity completely obliterating her fear. Her hands instinctively tangled in his dark hair, her body melting into a puddle of breathless, helpless submission amidst the catastrophic violence tearing the room apart.

Leon kept his striking midnight eyes wide open, staring directly over the spy’s shoulder, locking his gaze with the bewildered Grandmaster across the lobby.

[Quest Complete. Stat Rewards Distributed.]

A massive, explosive surge of raw speed flooded his nervous system. His reflexes sharpened to an impossible degree, processing the falling dust and shifting light with terrifying clarity.

Kaelen’s aristocratic composure fractured.

The Divination hound stared at the rugged brute making out with a woman in the middle of a death match, his precognitive abilities completely short-circuiting at the sheer, unfathomable disrespect.

"You arrogant, filthy animal!" Kaelen roared, abandoning his defensive stance.

He thrust both hands forward, launching a dense, overwhelming cross-section of spatial threads meant to carve the entire bronze pillar, and the two people behind it, into a hundred bloody pieces.

Before the lethal attack could cross the room, the heavy bronze doors of the Obsidian Vault violently exploded inward.

A blistering, terrifying wave of pure crimson fire tore through the grand entrance, aggressively incinerating the incoming spatial threads and filling the lobby with the suffocating pressure of a newly forged fighter.
