My Pervert Sytem
Chapter 159: The Subterranean Breach
Before the lethal attack could cross the room, the heavy bronze doors of the Obsidian Vault violently exploded inward.
A blistering, terrifying wave of pure crimson fire tore through the grand entrance, aggressively incinerating the incoming spatial threads and filling the lobby with the suffocating pressure of a newly forged fighter
The heavy bronze doors did not just open; they were violently ripped from their reinforced hinges, tumbling through the air like discarded toys before crashing into the ruined teller desks.
Standing in the smoking archway was Seraphina.
The silver-haired noblewoman was a vision of absolute, terrifying destruction. Her crimson aura burned fiercely around her polished armor, projecting a localized domain of raw volcanic heat that instantly vaporized the lingering damp fog drifting in from the streets.
Behind her stood the rest of the strike team. Isolde held her glowing rapier at the ready, her vibrant green tabard sharply contrasting the fiery devastation.
Beatrice projected a dense, freezing mist from her palms, while Elara rested her heavy steel cleaver casually against her hip, her dark eyes scanning for immediate targets.
Seraphina’s violet eyes swept over the shattered lobby, instantly locking onto Leon. She saw the blood staining his white silk shirt, and the unbridled fury in her gaze escalated into something profoundly lethal.
"You leave him alone for five minutes," Seraphina hissed, her beautiful voice echoing with dangerous, vibrating authority, "and he starts bleeding all over the expensive carpets."
Kaelen slowly turned his pale eyes toward the new arrivals. The Divination hound recognized the shifting odds immediately. Facing a feral brawler with monstrous physical traits was one thing. Facing a fully manifested Tier One Grandmaster backed by an elite strike squad was an entirely different calculus.
"The Silver Lioness," Kaelen murmured, the shimmering spatial threads coiling tightly around his forearms. "Lady Morgana warned me you had broken your mortal limits. But raw elemental power is nothing against the precision of fate."
"I make my own fate, rat," Seraphina spat.
She charged forward, abandoning all pretenses of noble dueling etiquette. She swung her heavy broadsword in a devastating horizontal arc, unleashing a massive, highly concentrated wave of searing crimson fire directly at the assassin.
Kaelen raised his hands, manifesting a dense shield of spatial energy. The fiery crescent violently collided with the invisible barrier, creating a deafening concussive boom that shattered the remaining windows and turned the golden tiles beneath their feet into molten slag.
Leon did not stay idle. He gently pushed Valeriana behind the cover of the bronze pillar.
"Stay with the others," he commanded smoothly, wiping a stray drop of blood from his chin.
He blurred back into the fray, his newly enhanced speed making him a terrifying, untraceable shadow. While Kaelen was occupied deflecting Seraphina’s relentless, fiery assault, Leon bypassed the Grandmaster’s peripheral vision entirely.
The Divination hound attempted to calculate Leon’s trajectory, but the overlapping aggression of two apex predators overwhelmed his foresight.
Leon channeled a massive surge of kinetic power into his heavy leather boot, delivering a brutal, sweeping kick directly to Kaelen’s knee. The sheer blunt force fractured the joint with a loud, sickening crack.
The assassin grunted in genuine pain, his spatial shield flickering for a critical fraction of a second.
Seraphina capitalized instantly. She aggressively drove her shoulder into Kaelen’s chest, following up with a brutal upward slash of her broadsword. The blade tore through the Grandmaster’s black military coat, leaving a deep, cauterized gash across his collarbone.
Kaelen was violently launched backward, skipping across the molten floor before crashing heavily into the reinforced steel door leading to the subterranean vaults.
Isolde and Elara moved to secure the perimeter, ruthlessly dispatching a squad of Vault mercenaries who foolishly attempted to rush out from the side corridors.
Beatrice marched calmly through the lobby, freezing the dying fires and ensuring the structural integrity of the building held firm.
As Isolde finished disarming a terrified guard, she cast a quick, heated glance toward Leon. The memory of their intimate surrender the night before was still burning fiercely in her mind, making her highly responsive to his presence on the battlefield.
A digital chime echoed playfully in his mind, projecting a bright text box right above the chaotic wreckage.
[System Directive: The Warlord’s Praise]
[The Emerald Knight is fighting fiercely to protect your flank. A true warlord rewards loyalty with highly scandalous public validation.]
[Action Required: Walk past Isolde. Offer a firm, possessive pat on her lower back and whisper, "Cover our flank, good girl," before engaging the enemy.]
[Reward: +20 Endurance, 500 Shameless Points.]
Leon smirked, completely unfazed by the smoke and violence surrounding them. He adjusted his torn velvet jacket and walked smoothly past the rival knight.
He reached out, resting his large calloused hand firmly against the lower curve of her spine. He offered a slow, deliberate pat that sent a massive jolt of electricity straight through her armor.
"Cover our flank, good girl," Leon murmured darkly, not breaking his stride as he continued toward the vault doors.
Isolde gasped sharply, her bright green eyes flying wide open. Her fierce military discipline violently short-circuited.
A brilliant, furious red flush rapidly crept up her elegant neck, completely paralyzing her in a chaotic fog of pure, breathless submission.
She bit her lower lip, desperately gripping her rapier to stop her knees from buckling in front of the entire strike team.
[Quest Complete. Stat Rewards Distributed.]
A dense wave of physical resilience fortified his bones, actively accelerating the healing process of his internal bruising.
He stepped up beside Seraphina, his dark eyes locked on the bleeding assassin attempting to stand up near the vault entrance.
Kaelen wiped a trail of blood from his pale lips. His aristocratic composure was completely shattered. He glared at the silver-haired warlord and her feral beast, realizing that standing his ground meant certain death.
"Morgana underestimated the rot spreading in this city," the Grandmaster hissed, his voice echoing with dark, frantic energy.
He didn’t attack. Instead, Kaelen aggressively slammed his palm against the complex runic arrays securing the heavy steel door behind him.
He fed a massive surge of spatial magic directly into the locking mechanism, violently overriding the security protocols.
The heavy steel door groaned loudly, sliding open to reveal the spiraling stone stairs leading down into the subterranean vault.
"You can have the bank," Kaelen sneered, stepping backward into the shadows of the stairwell. "But the ritual is already in motion. You cannot stop the eclipse."
The assassin triggered a localized spatial fold, his body rapidly dissolving into a swirling cloud of dark, distorted energy before completely vanishing from the physical plane.
"Coward," Seraphina spat, aggressively lowering her broadsword. She turned her intense violet eyes toward Leon, inspecting his torn clothing and the blood staining his shirt. "You took a direct hit from a Tier One without your heavy blade. Are you trying to get yourself killed?"
"I was merely softening him up for you," Leon replied smoothly, offering a dark, charming grin that completely masked his lingering pain.
Seraphina rolled her eyes, though a proud, possessive smile tugged at the corners of her lips. She stepped past the ruined runic array, leading the descent into the hidden depths of the Obsidian Vault.
The subterranean chamber was vast, lined with rows of reinforced iron cages and heavy wooden crates. The air down here was thick and heavy, saturated with a chaotic, suffocating mixture of dark magical signatures.
Beatrice quickly froze the remaining defensive traps lining the stone walls, ensuring safe passage for the rest of the strike team.
Leon walked toward the center of the vault, prying open a massive wooden crate with his bare hands. The heavy lid splintered, revealing rows of glowing, jagged crystals pulsing with a sickly violet light.
"Corrupted beast cores," Valeriana noted, stepping up beside him. She pulled her leather coat tighter around her curves, shivering at the unnatural cold radiating from the stones. "Hundreds of them. And over there, crates of dried black lotus leaves."
"These are the exact catalysts Morgana needs for the Emperor," Seraphina stated, her beautiful face hardening into a mask of pure, warlord calculation.
Leon reached into a separate iron lockbox, pulling out a handful of intricate, glowing stones etched with twisted Vaelorian runes.
The sheer volume of illegal, highly dangerous magical artifacts stored in the vault was staggering. The High Priestess was building a weapon of mass destruction right under the noses of the neutral noble houses.
"We take what we can carry," Leon ordered, his deep voice echoing through the damp chamber. "Beatrice, I want you to freeze the internal load-bearing pillars of this vault. Elara, you shatter the ice with a concentrated blast of fire."
The two loyal servants exchanged a dark, understanding smirk. The violent thermal shock would completely collapse the subterranean structure, burying the remaining catalysts under thousands of tons of capital bedrock.
"Morgana is going to be incredibly upset when her supply line vanishes," Isolde noted, finally recovering her composure and stepping into the dim light of the vault.
"That is exactly the point," Leon murmured, a dangerous, feral spark igniting in his midnight eyes. "We starve the beast. And when she finally steps out of the throne room to find her food, we cut her head off."
