Chapter 220: Creating Next Skill

After finishing dinner, Kaiser returned to his room and sat on his bed.

He had originally planned to test his newly acquired Minor Vibration Manipulation skill, but as he thought about the Art of Balance, an interesting idea suddenly came to his mind.

"I can create a skill that helps me with comprehension!"

Kaiser immediately sat up, his eyes lighting up.

"Yes! That’s exactly what I should do!"

He had almost forgotten about one of the most useful features of his Ex Rank Class: Skill Creation.

Every time he ranked up, he received five additional Skill Creation opportunities. He had initially received five when he obtained his class, another five upon reaching Rank 1, and now another five after advancing to Rank 2.

That meant he currently had ten Skill Creation opportunities available after already creating five skills.

Kaiser looked at the system interface.

’Hmm... I haven’t been making the best use of these opportunities. I should create something that can help me in the long run.’

He immediately opened the Skill Creation section.

Kaiser took a moment to organize his thoughts before speaking.

"I want to create a skill that allows me to obtain something called Wisdom Points after slaying any intelligent being and I can use those Wisdom Points to increase my mastery of any skill or Art."

He paused briefly before continuing.

"Whether it’s a normal skill, a powerful ability, or even an Art, I want to be able to use these points to improve my understanding and mastery of it."

The system remained silent for a few moments.

Then several notifications appeared.

[However, due to the scope and potential effects of the proposed skill, three Skill Creation Opportunities will be required.]

Kaiser raised an eyebrow.

"Three? Why so many?"

[The Host is attempting to create a skill that can potentially accelerate the comprehension of almost any ability, including Arts.]

Kaiser stared at the notification for a moment.

’So, it’s that difficult to create?’

He had expected the skill to be useful, but he hadn’t realized that its effects would be considered so extraordinary.

Still, he wasn’t planning to give up, afterall the new skill will solve almost all his problems and make his powerful so fast it might become his next cheat after his Talent Reconstruction.

Kaiser watched the notifications appear one after another.

Kaiser raised his eyebrows as he read the notification.

However, before he could examine the skill, another notification appeared.

Kaiser ignored it and immediately opened the skill description.

Kaiser stared at the description for several seconds.

Then a wide smile appeared on his face.

"Hahaha! This is exactly what I wanted!"

He had initially expected the skill to provide some assistance with comprehension, but its effects were even better than he had imagined.

As long as he continued killing intelligent opponents, he would be able to accumulate Wisdom Points and use them to improve his mastery of almost anything.

’This is practically another cheat ability!’

Kaiser couldn’t help but feel excited.

With Reconstruction already allowing him to improve anything as long as he have mana, and now Wisdom Devourer giving him a way to accelerate his mastery, his future development would become much easier.

More importantly, he could finally see a possible way to accelerate his comprehension of the Art of Balance.

He immediately focused on the skill again.

Kaiser’s smile froze for a moment.

"Of course. I just created the skill."

He shook his head and continued examining the description.

’At least now I have a way to obtain them.’

He wondered how many points he could obtain from different opponents. Killing ordinary intelligent monsters might provide some points, but powerful beings with extensive knowledge and high comprehension would probably yield much more.

That meant his future opponents could become valuable sources of Wisdom Points.

However, he wasn’t planning to rush out and hunt everything he encountered just for the sake of accumulating them.

’I’ll figure out the details gradually.’

Kaiser closed the skill description and glanced at his remaining Skill Creation opportunities.

Seven were still available.

He briefly considered creating another skill, but eventually decided against it.

There was no need to waste his opportunities without a proper plan.

For now, he had more than enough things to experiment with.

He leaned back against the bed and looked at the ceiling.

’With Wisdom Devourer, I might be able to make much faster progress in the Art of Balance. I should test it as soon as I get the chance.’

A satisfied smile appeared on his face.

His original plan had been to spend several years slowly comprehending the Transcendent Art.

Now, he had another method that might significantly shorten that process.

Of course, he still needed to discover how effective the skill actually was.

"Well, tomorrow should be interesting."

With that thought, Kaiser dismissed the system interface and prepared to get some rest.
