"No... I’m saving it to eat slowly. I’ve never had anything this tasty before!"

"This is your rent, keep it! This is for meals. Go buy something tasty; I’m quite picky,"

"Boss, you must not tell about my gambling. My younger brother has a heart condition, and if he finds out, he can’t handle the shock!"

"Ya Cai has a heart condition?"

Back then, Lemoore took a desperate measure and borrowed from a loan shark. Of course, he didn’t tell his parents, only saying some kind-hearted people helped. Later, Ya Cai had a successful surgery, but the loan sharks started to collect the debt. The high interest was beyond his salary to repay!

So, Lemoore kept thinking of ways to make money fast. Once, while hosting a group of tourists, he overheard them discussing how profitable online soccer betting was, so he decided to try. He only had a thousand Thai Baht, thinking he’d quit if he lost. He was lucky, turning one thousand Thai Baht into thirty thousand after a week. It made him ecstatic. In the following week, he turned thirty thousand into three hundred thousand Thai Baht.

After paying off the loan, he still had tens of thousands left. He felt he had found his life’s goal; it was so profitable!

However, as they say, nine out of ten bets are losses, and gambling relies on luck even without cheating. No one can always have good luck. A month later, Lemoore started to lose badly. After losing everything, he felt it wasn’t enough capital, so he borrowed more. He didn’t dare go for high-interest loans again but turned to casinos. He found gambling there as well, leading to today’s one million Thai Baht debt. Luckily, those people don’t know where his family lives, otherwise, it would have been catastrophic!

"I regret it so much. If I had just quit after repaying my brother’s debt, it would’ve been so much better!"

Lemoore sighed helplessly. Su Xuan noticed Lemoore had a good attitude. Anyone else might have jumped off a building by now, but Lemoore still smiled and ate when he should.

"So how do you plan to pay it back?"

"Hehe, pay it back slowly, what else!"

They reached the market, and Su Xuan let him pick out some good things to buy. After returning home, Su Xuan still felt a stench upon entering the house. The chickens and ducks had been living there for more than a day or two, so naturally, the smell lingered!

"Give me that bamboo chair of yours to sleep on outside tonight!"

Su Xuan looked around the small room, only seeing two beds, thinking I have no bed to sleep on. Usually, it must be Lemoore and his brother sleeping, with the parents on the other bed!

"It’s not okay. The security here is bad at night. What if something happens to you!"

Lemoore quickly said!

"I’ll sleep on the bamboo chair, and you and my brother take the bed!"

Lemoore said earnestly!

Su Xuan knew the security here was probably bad. The houses made like jails were an indication that nobody went out at night!
