My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!
Chapter 969 - 972: Alright, Alright, It’s My Fault
Jared Quinn stood up and glanced over, thinking how could he not continue with his and Melody Thorne’s wedding photos?
"Continue shooting."
"Yes," the photographer breathed a sigh of relief.
During the rest of the shoot, Melody Thorne came up with all sorts of ways to keep Jared Quinn from having a stiff face.
She tried different ways to make Jared Quinn laugh in front of so many people.
After finishing the wedding photos, Melody Thorne changed her clothes, her legs aching tremendously, and had Jared Quinn carry her back to the car.
"Tired?" Jared Quinn took out the supplement he had brought in the morning for Melody Thorne, "Here, have a little of this."
It was kept warm and perfect for drinking now.
Melody Thorne snorted, taking a few sips, "This doesn’t cure leg pain, my legs hurt, it’s all your fault."
"Alright, alright, my fault, my fault, I’ll help you rub them." Jared Quinn’s hand covered hers, rubbing with just the right strength, neither too light nor too heavy.
Melody Thorne comfortably lay on the car’s back seat, opened her phone, and saw her past small news stories had been completely wiped out. Plus, Jared Quinn had issued warnings to major reporters, so many no longer dared to report on Melody Thorne.
Now the news wasn’t about the entertainment circle, but an article about a national hero, Commander Hawthorne, passing away?
Melody Thorne looked at it closely, surprised that he truly passed away two days after she visited him. In fact, on that day, Melody Thorne hadn’t told him that even Seymour Senior had also passed away.
"Why are you in the mood to look at this?" Jared Quinn took her phone. Commander Hawthorne reportedly had some connections with the Chapman family, and now that he’s gone, the Quinn Family should send someone over."
"Last time, the person I saved was him; why don’t we find some time to go visit?" Melody Thorne suggested.
Jared Quinn didn’t object, "I’ll have Harold Chapman arrange a private visit. We’re about to hold our wedding; it’s best not to attend such public events."
"Okay."
Due to exhaustion, Melody Thorne fell asleep on Jared Quinn’s lap, unaware of when they returned to the Quinn Family’s residence.
"Madam, young master said you should drink a glass of milk every day," the butler handed over the milk.
This wasn’t ordinary milk; it was known for significantly boosting physical stamina.
"Is he criticizing my stamina from last night then?" Melody Thorne gripped the milk glass and drank it all in one go.
Someday, she vowed, she’d surpass Jared Quinn in stamina!
"By the way, how is Mrs. Quinn?" Melody Thorne was reluctant to ask, but since she was Jared Quinn’s mother, and the situation had already been clarified, she couldn’t ignore it.
"Madam is fine; the doctor said she can be discharged in a few days, so you don’t need to worry," the butler replied.
"Oh," Melody Thorne returned to the bedroom, took out her laptop, and suddenly took an interest in looking at news about the Hawthorne Family.
It mentioned a private army under the Hawthorne Family, and that the family refused to bury Weston Hawthorne’s body, seemingly due to this large army.
The Hawthorne Family has two sons and one daughter, and previously, they fiercely fought over who would inherit this army, leading to chaos. Now, it’s even more chaotic, uncertain who among the children would take control of this private army.
"I didn’t know the Hawthorne Family was so messy."
It was no wonder that when she visited Weston Hawthorne, he seemed somewhat despairing, as if he felt life had little meaning.
Melody Thorne thought for a moment, then shut the computer. Although Weston Hawthorne and Seymour Senior were lifelong friends, she was an outsider and couldn’t become involved in the Hawthorne Family’s matters.
