My Talent Skill Mutated
Chapter 219 - 102: Transcendent True God, Great Emperor of the Human Race
Never again. I’m not seeing him again, not for anything.
Well, unless there’s a Divine Spirit Pearl involved.
Wiping the sweat from his forehead, Chen Yu strolled away.
As he came out of the building, Chen Yu saw the long-haired man in sunglasses smoking off to one side.
Seeing the man’s relaxed expression, Chen Yu felt his teeth itch with the urge to punch him.
’So *this* is what you call easygoing?’
Chen Yu really wanted to give him a beating, but then he thought better of it. ’I can’t win.’
"So, how was it? That gentleman is very easygoing, right? It looks like you had a pleasant chat. With this, your career is about to really take off."
The long-haired man in sunglasses walked up to him, laughing heartily.
Chen Yu was speechless.
’Are you trying to rub salt in the wound?’
’As if you don’t fucking know whether he’s easygoing or not!’
’Easygoing my ass!’
Chen Yu nodded, his face impassive. "It was fine."
The long-haired man patted his shoulder, grinning. "Don’t forget me when you make it big."
"I won’t. I’ll be sure to remember you," Chen Yu smiled.
’Oh, I’ll remember you, alright. And your whole family, too!’
"Haha, good! I knew I wasn’t wrong about you!" the long-haired man laughed.
"Hm?"
"Is that... an entrance ticket to the Divine Hall!"
The long-haired man’s gaze fell upon the golden card in Chen Yu’s hand, and his expression changed dramatically.
"He... He gave that to you?" the long-haired man asked, staring at Chen Yu in utter disbelief.
Chen Yu nodded. "Yeah."
"Damn, kid, you’re really about to soar!" The long-haired man looked at him, his face full of envy.
"It’s just an entrance ticket. He said it only means I’m qualified," Chen Yu said nonchalantly.
The long-haired man retorted, "What do you know? This isn’t just some simple entrance ticket. The Starry Sky Divine Hall is more powerful than you can possibly imagine."
"Is it really that amazing?" Chen Yu asked, looking at the long-haired man doubtfully.
The long-haired man nodded. "Absolutely. It’s the strongest power in the Human Race!"
"Isn’t it the Superpower Alliance?" Chen Yu asked.
The long-haired man shook his head. "They’re not the same. The Superpower Alliance and the Starry Sky Divine Hall are two completely different concepts."
"The Starry Sky Divine Hall can command the Superpower Alliance, but the Superpower Alliance cannot command the Starry Sky Divine Hall."
"I see..."
Chen Yu nodded, a glimmer of understanding dawning on him.
"You’ll understand in due time, kid." The long-haired man looked at Chen Yu with envy.
"Having the ticket doesn’t guarantee I’ll get in. I still have to pass an assessment," Chen Yu said coolly.
"That’s a minor detail. Just by getting the ticket, you already have one foot in the door of the Starry Sky Divine Hall," the long-haired man said.
"It’s a shame. I don’t have the potential to get one," the long-haired man sighed.
Chen Yu looked at him. "Why don’t I give this to you?"
A look of terror instantly appeared on the long-haired man’s face. He glanced back toward the depths of the castle, then slapped Chen Yu’s shoulder. "Get out of here! Are you trying to get me killed?"
"Didn’t you say you wanted it?" Chen Yu blinked.
"I do want it, but if you give it to me, you’d be signing my death warrant," the long-haired man said with a solemn expression.
"Tch. I offer it to you and you don’t even have the guts to take it. How boring." Chen Yu pursed his lips and strode toward the parked car.
The long-haired man was speechless.
—
SLAM!
The car door slammed shut. The long-haired man looked at Chen Yu in the passenger seat. "Keep that entrance ticket safe. Don’t lose it."
Chen Yu nodded. "Don’t worry."
The long-haired man said no more. He started the car, and with a roar of the engine, it sped away from the castle.
...
"Do you know much about this Starry Sky Divine Hall?" Chen Yu asked the long-haired man as he drove.
The long-haired man nodded. "Of course I do. Anyone who gets into the Starry Sky Divine Hall is destined to become a True God."
"The Divine Hall covers all nine realms. You could say it’s the first Extraordinary organization in the history of the Human Race. It also goes by another name: the Great Emperor’s Divine Hall."
"In other words, anyone who can get in is guaranteed to become a True God, at the very least. It’s not even out of the question for them to go a step further and follow in the footsteps of the Firmament Emperor."
"Don’t tell me the Firmament Emperor has already transcended the level of a True God?"
Chen Yu asked, looking at the long-haired man.
The long-haired man shook his head. "Not exactly. But among True Gods, the Great Emperor had reached the True God Peak. Of course, it’s possible he did transcend, but unfortunately, due to an accident a hundred years ago, the Great Emperor vanished. No one knows if he’s alive or dead."
Huh?
Hearing this, Chen Yu looked at the long-haired man in surprise.
"An accident? What kind of accident?"
Chen Yu asked, his curiosity piqued.
’He was at the True God Peak, and might have even transcended that level, yet he had an accident?’
’What kind of accident could make such an unparalleled figure vanish for a hundred years, with no one knowing if he’s dead or alive?’
’Was it the Alien Race True Gods?’
The long-haired man spoke as he drove, "Nobody knows for sure. There are rumors that the Great Emperor was surrounded and killed by Alien Race True Gods. Others say he had an accident while trying to break through beyond the True God realm and died during the tribulation."
"There are even rumors that he successfully broke through and traveled to another Star System, only to meet with disaster there."
"All sorts of rumors are floating around, but none of them have ever been confirmed. To this day, the Great Emperor’s whereabouts remain a mystery."
As Chen Yu listened to the long-haired man’s explanation, his mind reeled with the chaotic swirl of information.
’So many conflicting stories!’
’It’s a complete mess!’
"If the Great Emperor were still here, the Human Race’s situation over the past century would likely be much better."
The long-haired man sighed.
Chen Yu nodded. Indeed, if such a titan of the Human Race existed, his influence would be far beyond that of an ordinary True God.
A True God is the backbone of a race.
A True God like the Great Emperor, then, is that race’s Heaven-Reaching Pillar!
But now, the whereabouts of this Heaven-Reaching Pillar were unknown.
If he were to reappear, it would perhaps trigger a historic shift in the entire war for the Human Race.
A single, top-tier existence is enough to quell the wars with the Alien Race!
Without a supreme expert presiding over them, war and turmoil are inevitable!
With "truth," all is well!
Without "truth," it is a cataclysm of extinction!
