My Three Babies Have Different Fathers
Chapter 108: How can I not cry?
Hana lowered her head and looked at her son, clearly surprised by his question.
"Kevin, why would you ask something like that?"
Kevin wiped the snot that had already started running from his nose with his clothes, then looked at Hana again.
"Mother left us. You deliberately stayed away and didn’t want us anymore. You had even decided to leave our fathers and let us live with them." His voice began to tremble. "Mother, please don’t abandon us. We don’t want to live with anyone else but you. Don’t become a mother to other children, okay? I promise I’ll eat the candy you give me. I’ll also give you all a bigger share of my blanket."
Sean, who was standing beside him, nodded as well.
"Mother, don’t have any children besides us, okay? We’ll be more obedient from now on. Don’t leave like you did yesterday. We don’t know what to do if you suddenly disappear again. We only have you." His sobs grew louder until his snot nearly reached his lips.
Zahn tugged at Hana’s clothes.
"Mother, none of us wants you to leave us. Promise you won’t do it again. If you leave, we won’t want to live anymore. You’re the one who gave us life. How could we possibly live without you?" he cried.
Seeing how desperate her three sons were, Hana also wiped the corners of her eyes, which had begun to redden. She took a handkerchief from her pocket and cleaned the snot from their faces one by one.
"Can you be a little more mature? You’ll be going to school soon. How can you cry like this until your noses are running everywhere? What if your teachers and classmates laugh at you later?"
Sean grabbed Hana’s arm as she wiped his face.
"We don’t care if people laugh at us. It doesn’t matter as long as you don’t leave us. We just want you to always be by our side."
Hana gently patted Sean’s soft, slightly chubby hand.
"When did Mother ever say she was going to leave you, hmm?" She turned to look at Kevin and Zahn.
Kevin immediately answered, "You left in the middle of the night without telling anyone. You didn’t even leave us a message. Doesn’t that mean you wanted to abandon us?"
Hana pinched his chubby cheek and kissed his forehead.
"You three are so perfect. Do you really think Mother could bear to abandon you?"
Zahn took Hana’s arm and pressed it against his cheek.
"Will you stay with us? Always? Forever? Will you also live with our three fathers and not marry another man?"
Hana looked at Zahn’s face, which seemed ready to break into tears again. She let out a frustrated sigh and patted both of her son’s shoulders.
"Didn’t Mother make an agreement with you in the past? You still have that agreement, don’t you? Isn’t that proof enough?"
However, Sean, Kevin, and Zahn didn’t respond at all. It was clear that they still didn’t believe their mother’s words.
Hana massaged her temples. Was she really so untrustworthy that even persuading three five-year-old boys was this difficult?
"What do you want?" she finally asked.
"Do you want us to believe you?"
"Do you think Mother was just playing around when she said all that earlier?"
"After all these problems are settled, marry our three fathers," Kevin said. "Then we’ll believe you. Don’t do something like this again in the future."
His tone sounded as though he were lecturing Hana.
Hana let out another sigh, this time more forcefully. She pulled all three of them closer.
"Mother still has problems with your three fathers. They may have been involved in the destruction of my family in the past." She looked at each of them in turn. "I don’t regret giving birth to you at all. However, marrying your three fathers is a major decision that I can’t make just like that."
"So Mother really does intend to marry another man and abandon us?" Sean interrupted.
"Nonsense!" Hana retorted, pointing at her son’s forehead. "What exactly do you think of Mother? Do you think I’m some man-crazy woman? I might not even get married for the rest of my life."
"Liar!" Zahn chimed in. "You’re still young, Mother. At your age, there will definitely be other men. You don’t want our fathers, which means you want someone else."
Kevin finally knelt down and grabbed Hana’s ankle.
"Waaah... Mother really doesn’t want us anymore. Does that mean I’ll become a child nobody wants?"
Hana massaged her temples again. She truly had no idea how to deal with the three children. In the end, she knelt down and lifted Kevin into her arms.
"Stop crying," she ordered firmly while wiping her son’s tears. "You’re the older brother. Do you want your younger brothers to keep copying your habit of crying?"
Kevin turned and pointed at Sean.
"But Sean is crying too. Isn’t he the older brother?"
Sean wiped his eyes with his shoulder.
"Mother wants to have another child with another man. How can I not cry?"
Hana covered her mouth for a moment before finally giving in.
"Alright, alright. Mother will do as you wish. I’ll marry your three fathers."
Sean, Kevin, and Zahn’s faces immediately lit up. However, before they could cheer, Hana continued.
"But there’s one condition. If I find evidence that they’re involved in my parents’ deaths, don’t expect me to marry them. I might even decide to end everything between us."
"How will you end everything?" Zahn asked innocently.
Hana smiled faintly and stroked his head.
"What do you think Mother should do to resolve this problem?"
"If they’re really involved, I promise I’ll be on your side, Mother!" Sean immediately hugged Hana’s leg. "Do you want to destroy them? We can help!"
Kevin nodded. "I can help too. If that really happens, we can just leave the Melvin Continent. We’ll leave this place and take Grandpa and Grandma with us."
Zahn nodded as well.
"Mother, if my father is involved, I’ll poison them one by one. We’ll make them go bankrupt and lose everything!"
"But Mother must keep her promise too," Sean said. "If they’re not involved, you have to marry our three fathers next month. We also have to start school like you wanted. You must take care of all three of us and take us to school together with our three fathers. You have to do everything!"
