My Three Babies Have Different Fathers

Chapter 55: Did you come here to see my aunt?

Orland stared at the fingers clutching his abdomen, now covered in blood. His gaze then shifted to the man in front of him, studying him for a few moments.

A faint smile appeared on his lips.

"Uncle... did you come here to see my aunt? Do you regret hurting her? Or do you actually want to kill her now that you’ve found out she’s still alive?"

Shad slipped the pistol in his hand into his pocket before walking toward Orland.

"Are you asking me that?" A mocking smile appeared on his lips. He kicked Orland, who was now lying on the floor and gasping for breath. "Orland, I don’t know how your aunt could protect you like this. How could she give up all her shares and hand them over to you?"

"Shad... so you still think my aunt was in the wrong all this time? You’re still blaming her?" Orland sneered. "Don’t think I don’t know what you’ve been doing all these years while you were separated from her."

Shad’s expression darkened.

"Yes. At least you’ll be dead soon. Your good luck ends here. As for your aunt, I’ll send her to join you soon enough. After all, the dead can’t expose what I’ve been doing all this time. All her shares will be mine in an instant."

Orland looked at Shad scornfully as the man stared down at him with contempt.

"What status do you intend to use to seize them? You don’t even have Hesh Family blood. Are you planning to use my aunt’s children as a means of obtaining everything?"

Orland’s lips curled into a crooked sneer.

"Have you forgotten? You haven’t even contacted your own son for more than twenty years. Do you think you still have the right to use that blood relationship? And do you think the rest of the Hesh Family will accept all this so easily?"

Shad pressed his foot harder against Orland’s body, making the man groan. "I can come up with plenty of plans to return and defeat you. Do you think I don’t have a way to defeat all of them?" he asked.

He took out his pistol again and pointed it at Orland’s head.

"I’ll make sure you die painlessly. So just accept your bad luck. Besides, who would’ve thought your stupid friend would take all the troops guarding the hospital with him to storm the mayor’s office? How could he not leave even a single subordinate behind to protect you?"

Shad bent down and stared at Orland, whose face had grown increasingly pale from losing so much blood. He chuckled softly.

"Boy... next time, find friends who actually have brains. Befriending idiots will turn you into one too. As for your son, I’ll take care of him afterward. I’ll make sure all of you reunite in hell so you can watch the woman you’ve been searching for all this time living with the future heir to the eastern region of Melvin Continent. I’ll send that woman the news of your deaths soon enough."

Shad moved the pistol closer until its muzzle pressed against Orland’s forehead. He slowly pulled the trigger.

"You’ll regret it if you dare do this, Shad..."

"I won’t. I’ve been waiting for this moment for more than twenty years. You should hurry up and go. The king of hell has been waiting for you for quite some time."

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Gunshots echoed throughout the room.

Shad’s body suddenly stiffened. He turned around, and his eyes widened when he saw a five-year-old boy pointing a pistol at him before his body finally collapsed.

Zahn slowly approached. His grip on the pistol did not loosen at all.

He quickly kicked Shad’s pistol away, sending it skidding far across the floor.

"You..." Shad exclaimed.

Zahn sneered and raised his foot, mimicking the way Shad had intimidated Orland earlier.

"You’re right. My father really is an idiot. But fortunately, my mother’s genes are much stronger in me than my father’s."

Zahn looked at Shad scornfully.

"But how can you be just as stupid? Next time, find a much better team. How could they just abandon you like that? Did they deliberately send you here to take the blame for all their mistakes?"

Zahn tilted his head.

"If that’s the case, then your master really is terrible. He’s willing to cut off his most useful tail, someone even my grandmother and brother couldn’t defeat, and then throw you away to take responsibility all by yourself." ℯ

Shad glared at Zahn, the little boy now standing arrogantly over him. His gaze then wandered around the room in confusion.

Zahn grabbed his phone and immediately called Kevin.

"How much longer until you get back? I’m really sick of being in a room full of so many idiots."

"Just wait a little longer. I’m already at the hospital entrance," Kevin replied casually.

On the other end of the call, Kevin glanced at Hans, who was carrying him while striding down the hospital corridor.

"Your stupid father is really an idiot too. He actually made my trip here a complete waste of time. How could he be fooled by people imitating his secretary’s voice? Does he not even recognize the voices of his own subordinates?"

Hans Xin looked up at Orland Hesh’s son, who was now staring back at him with a deeply mocking expression. He merely looked away and continued striding quickly through the hospital corridors.

Zahn nodded.

"You’re right. But your father is really stupid too. How could he throw away a firearm so carelessly and then take down those ridiculous people with his own body instead? Does he think his body is more useful than a weapon?"

Zahn glanced at Orland, who was still lying on the floor.

"Look at his condition. He’s almost dead because of someone else’s firearm. If I hadn’t picked up the weapon he threw away earlier, he would’ve been dead by now."

Orland, who had almost closed his eyes, opened them again and stared at Zahn, unable to say anything.

"Shad, are you done yet?"

Someone’s voice suddenly came from outside the hospital room.

"I just finished cleaning the wounds on my body in the bathroom. Our friends are already waiting downstairs."

His words trailed off when he saw the scene before him, which was completely beyond his expectations.

Zahn immediately pointed the pistol in his hand at the man. His eyes narrowed as he studied the man’s appearance.

"Damn, he wasn’t abandoned after all," Zahn said to Kevin over the phone.

Bang!

Thud!

Shad suddenly shoved Zahn away with the last of his strength and snatched the pistol from his hand.

His accomplice immediately rushed to help, shoving Zahn aside. Orland, who still had a little strength left, tried to stand up before pulling Zahn behind him.

Shad pointed the pistol at both of them.

"Orland... you’re dead!" Shad shouted, his body now supported by his accomplice.

"Shad, later! That man’s people are already here!" his accomplice said frantically upon hearing footsteps approaching from behind the hospital walls.

"Damn it!"

Shad immediately turned around and let his accomplice help him climb out through the hospital window on the fifth floor. Blood continued to flow from his legs, arms, and lower abdomen.

He jumped without looking back.

Zahn hurried after him, but Orland immediately grabbed his hand.

"Let your father chase him," Orland said.

Thud!

After uttering those words, Orland’s body collapsed again.
