My Three Babies Have Different Fathers

Chapter 56: Not yet, but he will be soon

"Hey!!" Zahn shouted when he saw Orland collapse. "Are you dead?" he asked.

Hans arrived at the door with his subordinates and immediately put Kevin down. The moment he saw the blood on the floor, he hurried toward the window.

"Damn it. How dare you run away?"

Hans immediately jumped through the window to pursue them, followed by his subordinates.

Kevin, who was behind him, ran over to Zahn. "Is he dead?"

Zahn shook his head. "Not yet, but he will be soon."

Kevin looked at Zahn, then turned toward Orland. "Are you going to let him die?"

"Do you want him to live? He’s an idiot," Zahn asked with an innocent expression.

He fell silent for a moment before sighing.

"What if Mother... sigh... forget it. If Mother finds out that one of her husbands died trying to find her, she’ll be sad too. Grandmother will definitely be disappointed as well."

Zahn then looked at Hans’s subordinates who were still in the room. They merely stood there, staring at him with foolish expressions.

"What are you waiting for? Prepare the operating room! Help me move him right now."

They hurriedly nodded and immediately prepared the operating room. They moved Orland to the same room where Zahn had operated on Jexy the previous night.

After putting on his medical gear properly, Zahn began treating the man.

His eyes narrowed as he tried to remove the bullet that had been lodged in Orland’s abdomen for several minutes. Carefully, he used the medical skills he had learned over the past three years before slowly extracting the bullet.

However, as soon as the bullet was removed, blood began pouring from the wound even more heavily. Zahn turned toward the assistant doctor, who was now staring at the wound in horror.

"Give me a vascular clamp," he ordered without blinking.

The assistant doctor nodded and hurriedly handed him the requested instrument.

Zahn used it carefully. His eyes narrowed again when he discovered an injured blood vessel inside the man’s abdomen.

A few moments later, the assistant doctor let out a sigh of relief when he saw the bleeding from the ruptured blood vessel begin to stop.

Zahn’s hands moved quickly as he cleaned away the remaining bullet fragments lodged near Orland’s blood vessel. Once he was finished, he nodded and began suturing the ruptured blood vessel.

"Continue the operation. Close the wound with polydioxanone sutures. I’m hungry. Given your position at this hospital, you should be able to handle it, right?"

The doctor stared at Zahn with wide eyes. What kind of unprofessional doctor is this? Leaving his work just because he’s hungry? he wondered.

Zahn merely glanced at him before stepping away from the side of the bed where Orland was lying.

"I’ve treated the life-threatening injury. Besides, this is supposed to be your job. Ah... I need to remind you of one thing."

Zahn paused and looked at the doctor.

"His identity is quite terrifying. Don’t make any mistakes, or you’ll be the one lying in his place if anything happens to him."

Zahn hurried out of the operating room without looking back, as if what he had just done wasn’t something that required serious attention.

Kevin walked toward him carrying a large amount of food.

"Are you done?" he asked.

Zahn nodded. "Almost. The assistant doctor who was working with me is continuing the operation."

Kevin nodded in response, then pulled Zahn by the hand without looking toward the operating room where Orland was.

"Let’s eat. I brought lots of the food Mother usually buys for us."

Zahn nodded and followed him.

As soon as they arrived at Jexy’s hospital room, the subordinates Hans had stationed there immediately bowed respectfully before leaving.

"What about Sean? Has he contacted you? Is everything going smoothly?" Zahn asked after changing out of his surgical clothes.

Kevin stretched out on the sofa while enjoying the snacks in his hand.

"Sean hasn’t replied to any of my messages. It seems he’s making some big plans with Dion."

Zahn immediately approached him. He opened a snack packet, then lay down on the other long sofa.

"I think Sean is the luckiest among us. His father is only slightly less stupid than ours."

Kevin nodded. "Yeah, I think so too. It seems we should use your suggestion from yesterday. Find a replacement father who’s far more impressive than our biological fathers."

"Hmm..." Zahn replied. "We can’t let Mother think we’re children born to stupid men. If that happens, she’ll definitely abandon us and love only Sean."

Meanwhile, Sean was working on his computer inside the car.

Dion Sexa sat calmly beside him.

"Sir," the secretary sitting in the front seat called out.

"We’ve obtained their invitation. The event will begin at nine. Should we return to the residence or head straight to the eastern region of Melvin Continent?"

"Keep driving," Sean replied. "We can stay at the hotel where they’re holding the event."

Dion nodded. "Listen to him."

The secretary looked at Sean’s face, which closely resembled Dion Sexa’s. He then nodded.

"Understood."

The black car, bearing a special license plate for the eastern region of Melvin Continent, sped down the road toward the venue where the heir to the eastern region of Melvin Continent would offer shares on the stock market for the first time.

Sean had absolutely no intention of resting. His eyes continued scanning the stack of papers in his hands as he examined all the information Dion Sexa had just given him.

A total of forty people would attend the opening event for the shares belonging to the heir who controlled the eastern region.

Twenty of them were distant relatives of his mother’s former lover, Brandon Vein. Another ten were members of Brandon Vein’s fiancée’s family. The remaining ten were newly wealthy individuals in the eastern region of Melvin Continent who had absolutely no abilities, influence, or advantages of their own.

Sean sneered as he read the information. His eyes then shifted toward Dion Sexa, who still had both eyes closed.

"You’re a little more cunning than Mother’s former lover when it comes to business."

Dion shrugged without opening his eyes.

"The Sexa Family would never agree to share its profits with outsiders. That’s business. With the brains and money I have, why should I share them with people who contribute absolutely nothing?"

"How did you deceive the Melvin Continent Supervisory Board?"

"Once you’ve officially become my heir, I’ll tell you everything. Absolutely everything, without exception."

Dion’s dark eyes finally opened. He turned to look at Sean.

"Well? Are you interested now?"
