Hana shook her head in disbelief as she listened to Brandon’s voice.

"Brandon, we ended things seven years ago. You’ve changed. You’re no longer the man I remember. You’re going to get married, while I already have children."

"Hana," Brandon interrupted again. "Didn’t you say you wanted to get your parents’ house back? I’ve already secured it. I’ll give it to you."

Hana shook her head. "You’re lying. I’ll find another way to get my own house back. So please, stop—"

"Do you think you can get your parents’ house back by relying on your own abilities?" Brandon finally asked. "Hana, I know you must already understand this. I don’t need to explain everything to you. Come back to me, and I’ll fulfill all your wishes."

"Brandon, you know very well how much I hate the word mistress. And now you want me to take on that title?"

"Hana, do you think Dion Sexa will protect you better than I can? Hana, do you know how filthy he is? Do you know how many hundreds of women have climbed into his bed?" Brandon finally shouted.

Upon hearing Brandon’s words, Dion Sexa immediately stood up. With a swift movement, before Brandon’s subordinates even realized what was happening, he was already standing beside the man.

Thud!

Dion immediately pinned Brandon down and punched him repeatedly.

"Damn it! You little bastard! How dare you say such nonsense to Hana!" he roared.

Thud!

Thud!

Thud!

Orland Hesh, whose face was still swollen, could only massage his temples.

Hadn’t Dion told him to control himself and avoid provoking that little bastard? And now look at him. Dion hadn’t just provoked Brandon; he’d also enraged all of Brandon’s subordinates.

Bang!

A gunshot suddenly rang out, hitting the table right beside Dion and Brandon.

Dion turned his head and looked around. Brandon’s subordinates had surrounded him, their gun barrels pointed at his face.

Dion snorted, then raised both hands in surrender before standing up with his hands still raised.

Brandon lifted his head and stared at him for several moments. He spat blood from his lips, then touched his swollen face.

"Damn it!" Brandon cursed.

He glanced at the phone beside him. Its screen was shattered, and the device had gone dead.

With the help of his secretary, he finally managed to stand.

"Dion Sexa, how dare you beat me up?" Brandon asked in a low, threatening voice.

Dion chuckled. "That’s what you deserve for daring to say something Hana shouldn’t have to hear."

He looked Brandon up and down. "Brandon Vein, aside from your face, do you have anything else that could make Hana happy?" he asked with a mocking smile.

"You have absolutely nothing."

Dion glanced contemptuously at Brandon’s lower body before turning around and casually walking back toward his chair.

However, before he could sit down, Brandon, his face dark with anger, charged at him.

Thud!

Brandon’s kick landed squarely on Dion’s stomach. Dion’s body slammed into the sofa beside Orland, shattering the piece of furniture.

"Ugh!" Dion groaned.

Brandon pinned Dion down and unleashed a rapid barrage of punches against his face.

Although Brandon was still only the heir, he had received direct martial arts training from the powerful people who stood behind his territory.

Dion’s face quickly swelled, becoming covered in purplish bruises from Brandon’s relentless punches.

"Tsk!"

Brandon spat directly onto Dion Sexa’s face.

"Besides having neither a decent face nor a brain, is there anything else you can show off, Dion Sexa?" Brandon sneered.

Breathing heavily, Dion glared at Brandon, who was still on top of him.

Thud!

Dion swiftly reversed their positions and punched Brandon again.

"Damn it! You really are a little bastard!" he cursed.

Bang!

Another shot rang out, this time striking Dion Sexa’s left arm.

"Get off him and return to your seat!" Brandon’s secretary barked.

Dion glanced at him for a moment. The sharpness in his eyes gradually faded when he saw all the guns in his subordinates’ hands pointed at him again.

He snorted, then pointed at Brandon face.

"You’ll regret daring to treat me like this."

Dion pulled over another empty chair and sat down with a grim expression.

Meanwhile, Brandon stood with his secretary’s help before returning to his own chair.

His secretary immediately summoned Brandon’s personal doctor to treat the wounds and bruises on his face.

However, before the situation could truly settle down, the room’s door was suddenly kicked open from the outside.

Dion smiled mockingly. His eyes settled on Brandon, who was now glaring at him with a taunting expression.

"What are you doing?" Maya Vein asked calmly.

Brandon’s subordinates immediately stepped back and released Orland’s men. They moved aside as soon as they saw Maya taking control of the situation.

Brandon pushed his doctor away.

"Why are you here?"

"Why?" Maya repeated. "Do you think I, as your mother, should simply sit quietly and do nothing after learning that you’ve detained two rulers of territories on the Melvin Continent?"

Brandon snorted. "You clearly know why I did this."

Maya took a deep breath.

"Didn’t I tell you before? You’re the heir to the Vein family. You’re about to marry Laila. Do you still want to keep that rotten girl around?" she shouted.

Brandon smiled mockingly.

"A rotten girl? Who’s rotten? You?"

"Brandon! Do you even know what you’re saying? How dare you insult your own mother?"

"If you hadn’t kidnapped Hana, do you think any of this would have happened? Wasn’t hurting her seven years ago enough for you? Do you still want to hurt her again?"

"She doesn’t deserve you."

Brandon snorted. He rose from his chair and walked toward Maya Vein.

"Wasn’t making me lose Hana for seven years and forcing me to live in misery all this time enough for you? Will you only be satisfied when I die right in front of you?" Brandon shouted directly at his mother.

The corners of his eyes reddened. He then knelt before Maya.

"I only want Hana. You won’t even let me keep her by my side?" Brandon’s voice trembled with desperation. "Maya Vein, do I have to die in front of you before you’ll allow that girl to stay by my side?"

Maya Vein’s expression did not change in the slightest. She looked at Brandon, then smiled mockingly.

"Even if you die, I still won’t allow Hana to stand beside you. Remember that, Brandon Vein. Laila is the only woman I’ll allow at your side."

Brandon lifted his head and stared at Maya in disbelief.

Maya Vein met his gaze.

"Besides, seven years ago, you chose to sacrifice her when I asked whether you would save her or not, didn’t you?"
