My Three Babies Have Different Fathers
Chapter 90: So this is your plan?
Everyone in the room unconsciously held their breath.
The man who had just arrived was the Deputy Head of the Supervisory Council of the Melvin Continent, the person who held the highest authority beneath the head of the Supervisory Council.
Maya Vein shot Brandon a sharp look before smiling faintly.
"Deputy Head of the Supervisory Council, you’ve misunderstood. I have absolutely nothing to do with any of this. The Vein family is not involved. It was—"
"She is involved," Brandon interrupted. "Maya Vein, Dion Sexa, Orland Hesh, and Hans Xin, who has now fled to the western territory of the Melvin Continent."
Brandon waved his hand. His secretary immediately stepped beside him and handed him a tablet.
Brandon tapped the screen several times before handing it to the deputy head of the Supervisory Council.
"You can see it clearly for yourself. This is the CCTV footage I’ve obtained. It shows the exact moment my mother arrived, followed by the arrivals of Dion Sexa and Hans Xin. They also entered the territory illegally by plane. They deliberately sneaked in just to take the life of your illegitimate son. These are their travel records from today," Brandon said calmly.
"Cough!"
Orland Hesh, who had been sitting calmly, suddenly choked violently.
When had he become involved? When had he killed anyone? He, Orland Hesh, would never commit murder and leave behind evidence and witnesses.
Orland glared at Brandon.
Dion covered his mouth with his elbow. "What a little bastard!" he cursed under his breath.
Bang!
The Deputy Head of the Supervisory Council of the Melvin Continent immediately threw the tablet in his hand toward the three of them.
"Have I turned a blind eye to your misdeeds for so long that you’ve become bold enough to kill my son?" he shouted.
None of them answered.
Although the rulers of the territories on the Melvin Continent had ways to secretly evade and defy the Supervisory Council’s rules, their status meant absolutely nothing in the presence of the council’s high-ranking officials. The Supervisory Council controlled the military and wielded authority that they could not simply ignore.
Brandon lowered his head. A brief glint flashed in his eyes before he looked up at the deputy head of the Supervisory Council again.
"I’ll help you deal with one of the suspects in your son’s murder who fled to the western territory. If you grant me permission, I’ll do my best to handle it according to your wishes."
"As long as you grant me a legal regional transit permit, I, Brandon Vein, who am also the successor of the eastern territory of the Melvin Continent, am willing to help you."
The deputy head of the Supervisory Council furrowed his brows. He turned and met Brandon’s gaze.
"Brandon Vein, are you trying to use me? You want me to grant you a regional transit permit?" He laughed mockingly. "Without your help, do you think I can’t get what I want?"
Dion snorted and looked at Brandon.
"So this is your plan? Brandon, what a shame," he sneered. "You—"
"Your people don’t know how to operate among ordinary civilians," Brandon interrupted. "Unlike me, who has been accustomed to being a public figure for the past five years."
Brandon smiled before continuing, "All the people at your disposal... tell me, is there even one among them who can investigate this case as well as I can?"
Dion Sexa, who could no longer stand it, finally stepped forward and forcibly grabbed Brandon by the collar.
"Are you going to lock him up again?" Dion shouted.
Meanwhile, Orland Hesh had a brief conversation with his secretary before walking toward the deputy head of the Supervisory Council with the tablet his secretary had just given him.
"Deputy Head of the Supervisory Council, I have evidence proving that I had absolutely nothing to do with this. The video you saw earlier is fake. I, Orland Hesh, never killed your illegitimate son," he said firmly. "The video presented by the successor of the Vein family is clearly edited. I refuse to take the blame for all of this."
Orland handed over the tablet. However, before the deputy head of the Supervisory Council could take it, Dion quickly snatched it and smashed it onto the floor.
"What are you doing?" Orland and the deputy head of the Supervisory Council shouted simultaneously.
Dion cleared his throat lightly. "My hand slipped. I didn’t do it on purpose."
Seeing that the two were still glaring at him, Dion scratched his nose even though it didn’t itch.
"Blame that Vein family heir for daring to shoot my arm," he said. "And... my hand really did slip," he added.
Orland, whose face had turned pale, grabbed Dion Sexa by the collar. Dion’s face was no less pale.
"Dion Sexa!!!"
"Stop!" the deputy head of the Supervisory Council finally shouted.
He waved his hand.
"Take all three of them to my headquarters. From now on, let the Supervisory Council’s investigators handle this matter."
"Yes, sir."
Dion Sexa, Orland Hesh, and Maya Vein were immediately detained by the deputy head of the Supervisory Council’s men. Orland’s people, who had previously been released, were also taken to the headquarters along with their master.
Dion chuckled when he saw Orland Hesh’s expression darken even further beside him.
"I got dragged into this because of you, too. You expect me to take all the responsibility alone and even let you meet Hana in my territory? Dream on!"
Upon hearing this, Orland immediately swung his long leg toward Dion Sexa’s stomach. However, before his kick could land, Dion moved out of the way, causing the person restraining his arm to take the kick instead.
"Argh!" the man groaned. "You still dare to cause trouble and kick me?" he shouted angrily.
Dion shook his head. "He did it. I was only dodging," he protested.
Orland Hesh snorted but said nothing more.
Seeing that the two men showed him absolutely no respect, the deputy head of the Supervisory Council’s subordinate gritted his teeth.
"You two—"
"I’m still a territorial ruler," Orland Hesh stated firmly. "Don’t think that just because your master has detained me, you can act however you please and forget your place."
The subordinate’s face stiffened for several seconds. Eventually, he dragged Dion and Orland toward the car without saying another word.
Maya followed them from behind alongside one of the deputy head of the Supervisory Council’s subordinates. Her mind raced as she tried to find a way out of this situation.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the building, where only Brandon and the deputy head of the Supervisory Council remained, Brandon continued sitting calmly as he looked at the man in front of him.
"You won’t regret your decision. Besides, you’ll benefit if you add the Vein family’s charges against Dion Sexa."
The deputy head of the Supervisory Council chuckled.
"You’re quite clever. But do you think they’ll be easy to deal with using just this little evidence?"
