Chapter 511

As the daggers cut arcs through the air with lightning speed, Ray’s senses immediately perked up with tremendous force.

His eyes darted downward, catching sight of a barrier rising from the ground until it completely encased the Ogre King.

CLANG!

His daggers struck the transparent crystal barrier.

Even with all the force he had put behind the strike, his weapons were unable to break through the barrier, no matter how hard he tried.

Not even a crack appeared across its surface, causing a confused look to appear on his face.

Then—

The Emperor-rank beast tapped his finger against the head of his hammer, causing a loud metallic ring to echo throughout the chamber.

The moment it did, the King-rank beasts in the room stirred like a pack of zombies suddenly brought to life.

Snapping his head around, Ray watched as the beasts surged toward him with astonishing speed.

Those carrying spears immediately cocked their arms backward before hurling them forward.

The spears sliced through the air like arrows, all heading toward a single target.

Ray.

Lightning surged across Ray’s entire body, crackling with malicious intent.

Then, with an explosive bang, the boy streaked through the air like a ballet dancer.

A blur of blue lightning crackled through the air as he weaved between the volley of spears hurled his way.

His form flickered from one spear to another.

His hand reached out and grabbed a chain hanging from the ceiling.

Then, like a monkey, he danced between two spears before running across a ledge in the ceiling with feline grace.

His eyes focused downward, where he saw the Ogre King staring at him with an amused expression on his face.

Ray shifted his gaze toward the beasts down below, watching as they struggled to find a way to reach him.

He twirled his daggers around his fingers for a split second.

Then, with a thunderous boom, he shot downward like an arrow.

Lightning arced from his shoulders to the tips of his daggers.

Within a jiffy, he befell a dozen beasts.

His daggers cut a wide arc through the air.

A visible distortion appeared as the blades passed through the beasts, ripping deep gouges through them as though they were nothing.

Neither their crude armor nor their thick flesh could save them as their bodies were torn apart.

Blood splattered through the air like paint across a canvas.

Their bodies dropped to the ground with wet thuds.

Rising to his full height, Ray flicked his dagger to the side.

The blood staining his weapon fell to the ground as he gazed at the remaining beasts, who were stunned for a moment.

Then—

TAP!

The Ogre King tapped his warhammer once more, allowing the others to lunge toward the human with decent speed.

Ray didn’t fret as he shifted into a stance.

[Rail Dash Activated]

Lightning immediately exploded around the human’s legs, running up and down them in wild yet controlled arcs as the beasts approached.

Slowly, a wide grin began appearing on his face as he leaned his body forward.

And then—

BOOM!

Ray allowed himself to lunge forward with lightning speed.

His weapons flashed through the air.

The beasts couldn’t even see him before Ray passed through their midst in a lightning blur.

His daggers flashed through their eyes.

Cold steel pressed against their flesh as a straight line of lightning tore through their midst and appeared at the end of the horde.

The line the boy had passed through became a trail of collapsing beasts.

One after another, the Ogres crumpled to the ground as though their strings had suddenly been cut, their massive bodies falling like lifeless mannequins.

Blood oozed from their wounds, spreading across the stone floor like a black river.

Flicking his weapon to the side, Ray still wore a grin as he looked in the direction of the boss.

"Come on, my king. Don’t you want to join in on the fun?" Ray asked.

Then he snapped his hand through the air, his dagger cracking against the weapon of an approaching beast.

CLANG!

A sword struck his dagger with enough force to send sparks flying.

Ray responded with a fluid twist of his hip, his leg whipping through the air in a blur before smashing directly into the Ogre’s thigh.

CRACK!

The force of the blow caused the beast’s leg to crumple beneath it, bones protruding through torn flesh as it was forced down onto one knee.

Before the beast could recover, Ray spun around and appeared directly behind it.

One hand seized the Ogre’s head.

Yet Ray’s eyes remained fixed on the boss.

His dagger rose.

Then he cut forward.

A thin, razor-sharp line appeared across the Ogre’s neck.

The next second—

Blood erupted from the wound like a fountain.

The beast’s enormous body went limp before sliding to the ground with a loud thud.

Ray immediately bent forward and slid backward.

A massive club tore through the space his body had occupied only a second earlier.

But the human was already gone.

Ray slid beneath the beast’s legs before springing back upright on the other side.

His hand shot behind his back.

The dagger found flesh.

With a violent pull, Ray ripped his weapon free before hurling it forward.

The blade shot through the air and crashed straight through the skull of another Ogre.

Without stopping, Ray pounced forward.

A streak of lightning exploded through the legs of the Ogre before him.

The beast staggered.

Then Ray’s fist slammed into it.

BOOM!

The Ogre was blasted backward, its massive body crashing into a wall only a few inches away from the boss.

The wall caved inward from the impact.

Chunks of stone rained down around the beast as dust billowed through the air and spread toward the Ogre King’s position.

Yet the King didn’t flinch.

Not even slightly.

In a single sequence of movements, Ray had taken down three more beasts almost immediately.

Yet it wasn’t enough.

There were still more than a hundred Ogres remaining.

’If I continue like this, I’ll run out of energy and time. I need to conserve my strength for the boss. Which is why—’

Ray spun around just in time.

A massive sword cracked through the air before smashing into the exact spot where he had been standing.

BOOM!

The ground shattered beneath the impact, chunks of stone exploding outward.

"Come forth, Nebula."

"...."

An Ogre suddenly dashed toward the boy’s exposed back, a spear clutched tightly in its hands.

The weapon shot forward, streaking toward Ray’s open back as though it had found its bullseye.

But before the spear could reach his body—

An intense pressure descended upon the entire chamber.

The air itself seemed to tighten.

Then—

Something shot forward.

Incredibly fast.

A blur sliced through the air.

The Ogre suddenly faltered.

Its massive body swayed left and right.

Then—

THUD!

It crashed into the ground.

A clean, bullet-like hole had been punched through its head.

The next second, a massive blast of wind tore through the chamber, violently pushing the surrounding beasts away from Ray’s position.

Something crackled through the air.

Behind the boy, a blanket of purple mist slowly began to form.

And through it all, Ray continued staring toward the boss with a small grin on his face.
