"Human and beast done?" the Ogre King asked casually as it looked around at its soldiers scattered across the chamber.

Limbs torn.

Flesh ripped apart.

Dead.

Yet the two threats remained standing.

Barely a scratch on either of them as they stared at the King, side by side.

Ray frowned as he looked at the King.

’What’s with this guy? He’s acting like all that happened isn’t his problem. Nebula is the same rank as you are, maybe weaker, but still strong nonetheless.

So why? Why is it so calm?’

Ray’s eyes scanned the chamber, searching for anything that seemed out of place.

He couldn’t understand why the Ogre was so terribly calm from start to finish.

It was as if it had just watched the most boring performance of its life.

What was the beast even feeling?

Did it think that it had everything under control?

Then, with a heavy sigh that made it seem as though the King were about to perform an incredibly annoying chore, it grabbed the armrest of its throne and slowly pushed itself upright.

Ray took half a step back as the Ogre King rose to its full height.

Its imposing frame stretched upward until its head almost touched the ceiling.

Almost...

"Uh... Nebula? With this height, do—do you think that it can fit?" Ray asked, keeping his gaze fixed on the beast before them.

The Spider Queen shot the human a death glare, as if she wanted nothing more than to rip his head off.

Ray blinked before turning toward her.

"What? I’m just curious. Or do you want to lie that all those times you took up a human form, you haven’t lured one of your prey to your, uh—"

Nebula’s eyes suddenly ignited with a furious glow, forcing the boy to take a step backward while waving his hands in the air.

"Chill, chill... if you kill me, you die too. Besides, I’m not your foe right now."

’I don’t think it’s wise antagonizing her anymore. Otherwise, she might team up with the Ogre King and definitely kill me here.’

Pointing toward the Ogre King with a nervous look on his face, they both turned their gazes toward the throne.

"Huh?"

Ray blinked as they realized the Ogre King was no longer where they had last seen it.

Even its war hammer was gone.

Then—

The air pressure around Ray increased with such force that even his reaction seemed slower as he tried to turn around.

Seeing that he was moving too slowly, he immediately folded his arms forward.

A translucent, spherical barrier began forming around him when—

A bone-rattling strike smashed into his side with the force of five freight trains.

Ray heard his bones crack inside his ears.

And then shatter as if they were glass.

Ray’s body blasted away with such speed that, within a second, he crashed into the King’s throne.

His body shattered through the throne before slamming into the ground beneath it, causing the stone floor to crack massively.

Ray coughed out a mouthful of blood as his right arm hung mangled at his side, broken bones sticking through his flesh.

And right there, in the position Ray had occupied moments ago, the Ogre King stood with its war hammer in hand, glaring forward.

Almost immediately, without caring for her own safety, Nebula twirled around and sent her colossal hands shooting toward the beast.

The Ogre King turned toward the Spider Queen before nonchalantly lifting his hammer and blocking each and every one of her attacks.

Nebula increased the pressure, dancing around the Ogre King as her colossal hands hurtled toward him from different angles, searching for even the smallest breach in his defenses.

Alas!

It was all for naught.

Despite the mountain of bulky flesh surrounding its massive frame, the Ogre King moved with stunning grace and speed. Every strike Nebula sent toward him was parried away by the head of his war hammer.

One of her hands came sweeping toward his side.

CLANG!

The King deflected it effortlessly.

Another came from the opposite direction.

CLANG!

Again, the hammer intercepted it.

Nebula suddenly shifted her body, attempting to attack from another angle, but the Ogre King simply adjusted with her, never allowing her attacks to reach his flesh.

Then, after deflecting one of her hands violently to the side with his weapon, the Ogre King’s fist rocketed toward her.

In a flash—

BOOM!

It connected.

Nebula was sent blasting away with lightning speed.

However, before she could travel too far, her colossal hands dug into the earth, slicing deep into the ground and forcing her body to abruptly halt.

BOOOM!

With the sound of a cannon shot, the Ogre King closed the distance between them.

It appeared before her with its hammer already descending toward her head.

Nebula didn’t waste a second.

She swiftly rolled away in the nick of time.

The war hammer slammed into the concrete ground.

BOOM!

The impact instantly pulverized everything beneath it.

A twenty-meter-deep hollow tore open as chunks of earth exploded into the air.

The residual force of the strike caused the entire chamber to shudder as though an earthquake had ripped through the room, leaving Nebula momentarily unstable on her feet.

Refusing to give her even a moment to recover, the Ogre King moved again.

Its massive foot came hurtling down toward her head with tremendous speed.

Nebula rolled to the side once before shooting back to her feet and sending her enormous hands toward the Ogre.

The hands protruding from her back, shaped like colossal blades, sliced through the air in a deadly arc.

However, with a shocking agility never before seen in a beast of its bulk, the King twisted its enormous body aside.

The bladed hands crashed into the earth instead.

CRACK!

The ground ripped open beneath the force.

Springing back into position, the Ogre King’s war hammer snapped upward and smashed into the Queen’s jaws in an uppercut-like strike.

The Echo was lifted completely off her feet, almost shooting into the air when—

A golden lasso wrapped around her feet.

Ray yanked his hand backward, pulling Nebula back toward the ground.

Anchored once again, her bladed hands descended upon the King.

The Ogre King immediately raised its hammer.

CLANG!

The bladed hands crashed against the weapon with a resounding clang, and the ground beneath the King’s feet exploded outward from the force.

In the same breath—

KA-BANG!

A blur rushed past Nebula.

Ray appeared before the King with an Orb of Light swirling in his palm, sparks crackling wildly within his eyes.

Blood dribbled down his lips.

Yet he grinned.

"You hit as soft as a pillow, my King."
