Chapter 587

"Ho-How many points do I need?" The tremble in Ray’s voice was evident as he anxiously looked at the System.

Desperately praying and hoping that something would work out.

[Calculating....]

[Host is expected to have five thousand Celestial Points in order to be able to create a small Domain of their own.]

Upon seeing the message, Ray slumped back into the chair.

His jaws tightened as two things stood out to him from the message.

’Five thousand.’

And ’Small Domain.’

So, even if he somehow managed to obtain those five thousand Points, there was still a possibility that his Domain wouldn’t be big or strong enough to counter the space they were trapped in.

He lifted his head to take in the room and gulped as he stared at the seemingly endless expanse of white stretching as far as his eyes could see.

His Perception, which could reach almost 120 metres, couldn’t even grasp the full extent of the space they were in.

So how was he supposed to pull this off?

’The condition....’ He muttered inwardly, a finger rubbing his face in exhaustion.

’... The condition for me to receive more Points as a Celestial is to be adored and praised by all. If I were to receive those, my Points would increase.

’But how am I supposed to do that here? I’ll be going on trial in a day. These people could want to kill me, so there’s no possible way of racking up that many Points here.’

He twirled a finger around his hair before forcefully pulling at it in grim frustration.

"So we’re really stuck here at the mercy of these damned people, huh? Wow." Ray exhaled with a silent chuckle.

Helplessness.

He had never imagined that he would feel this way as long as he kept growing stronger.

But who knew there were still beings capable of making him feel so powerless?

"Rules.... Conditions.... In just how many hours of being here? I now realise why these people are called ’Celestials’."

"Huh?" Elyon muttered, raising a brow.

Ray sighed and turned his chair around to face the screen before him.

"They don’t need to use raw strength to take someone out. They could do so just by placing a condition or setting a few rules to limit someone, and that would be all."

The Tribrid’s hands tightened as, from the corner of his eyes, he caught sight of Trisha approaching him.

’Never will I come here again. I hate being controlled and limited.’

"Ray." Trisha’s cold yet soft voice reached his ears, pulling him out of his mindspace and back to reality as he turned to look in her direction.

His gaze then flicked towards the others. He had been so deep in thought that he hadn’t even realised they had been discussing something. Now, all eyes were on him.

"Yes?"

"I think we all need to know what’s going on. What’s with all this Celestial and Tribrid stuff? I’m-I’m getting worried here," Chloe questioned, a slight tremble evident in both her voice and body.

Ray looked into their eyes one by one before shaking his head and sinking deeper against the wall.

"A Tribrid..."

Before the boy could say another word, he heard Van speaking mechanically, as though he were reading aloud from something.

Everyone’s gazes turned towards him as they noticed the tech genius sitting with his head bowed, seemingly reading from the floor.

"... The day I found out about you being a Werewolf, I decided to delve into research about the race, even going as far as reading fantasy books.

"Ugh.... How much I hate novels, but I had to read them to better understand my best friend," Van continued, lifting his head to stare into Ray’s grey eyes.

"While reading, I came across so many different species and races mentioned that, yup, could only be found in fictional worlds.

"Elves... Dragons, Vampires, Werewolves, Gods, and even a rare novel about a Tribrid."

Letting out a sigh, he lifted his gaze towards the ceiling.

"... I was intrigued because I never knew what a Tribrid was, so I read some more. Maybe out of curiosity, I searched online and found out that a Tribrid is a being possessing three different bloodlines, races, or species within one vessel. Right? That’s what you are?"

"....."

"....!!!"

A heavy silence descended upon the room as every eye turned towards the Tribrid. His breathing remained steady, but his hands were clenched into fists beside him.

Then, with a loud exhale, he finally spoke, his gaze shifting between Van and the Captain.

"Yes. I’m not a pure Werewolf like Felix. I’m a mix of three races: a Human, a Werewolf, and a Celestial."

Chloe’s shock was evident as she let out a loud gasp.

Trisha unconsciously took half a step backwards, her body tensing for a moment before gradually relaxing.

Caster’s eyes flashed with intrigue and interest, his curiosity clearly piqued by the revelation.

Only the Captain and Van remained relatively unbothered, their expressions barely changing.

"So the kid is a Werewolf, huh?" Raze muttered before looking around the room.

"Anybody else who’s a Werewolf? I need to know my squad better. Or is there anybody who’s a Vampire? I’d prefer to know now rather than wake up with my blood drained in my sleep."

"...."

"Th-that’s not all," Ray added, lifting his gaze towards Trisha, who was standing before him.

Their eyes met.

Grey against chilling blue.

«Are you really going to do this? You won’t be able to take it back again. We don’t know how they will look at you from now on.»

’They deserve the truth. Every single bit of it, without any hiding. They are my friends, and they are here because of me. If it weren’t for me, they wouldn’t have been dragged into this accursed realm and stripped of all their abilities.’

His eyes gleamed with deep resolve as he continued holding Trisha’s gaze, as though she were the only person who mattered.

A hint of an unknown emotion flickered in both their eyes.

His heart pounded as he opened his mouth, his throat dry and the words struggling to come forth.

But he inhaled deeply before finally blurting out the truth.

"In my body at the moment, I have two other consciousnesses that can take control of my body. The Werewolf and Celestial consciousnesses occasionally take control when I let them."

"...."

"MONSTER!"
