My Undead Legion Kills God's

Chapter 160: Two Nobodies.

Damien scowled like the undead lich just cursed his mother, which was weird, because he wasn’t a fan of hers.

"What do you want now?".

The undead lich seemed to struggle to convey its words, it was probably because it didn’t have any vocal cords, but to Damien, that was no excuse.

"Get out of the way damn lazy bum, can’t you see I’m sun bathing".

Damien said while kicking it away, but the undead lich strangely came right back, if it was any normal day, it would relish the fact that Damien doesn’t need it, and try to run away any chance it gets, but now it keeps coming back.

Damien opened one eye and glared darkly at the undead lich. "I’m not giving you my spell book".

The undead lich thought for a moment, then shook its head, it clearly didn’t want the spell book.

"Then I’m not giving you my spot, go find your own undead cushion".

The undead lich rubbed its own skull for a moment, then shook its head again, it then pointed towards the sunken camp, there was nothing but a massive hole there, so Damien wondered why the undead lich wanted to go there.

Damien sighed lightly and asked.

"Is there something in that direction that you want?".

The undead lich nodded.

"Will it benefit me?... don’t you lie to me".

The undead Lich’s nod froze, then it actually shrugged its bony shoulders.

Damien didn’t know whether to laugh or crush the Lich’s skull, to think it was actually about to lie to its master, no other undead had this degree of freedom.

Damien stared at it for a few seconds, trying to figure out what exactly was going through that empty skull. The Lich had never been particularly obedient, but there was a difference between being lazy and deliberately trying to deceive him.

It was almost impressive.

Damien wondered just how high its rank was when it was alive, it was definitely beyond Awakened.

He looked toward the direction the Lich had pointed, then back at the undead creature. Whatever it wanted from the sunken camp, it clearly wasn’t going to tell him directly.

The Lich simply stood there, waiting.

Damien sighed again and reluctantly shifted himself off the undead Therizon. His comfortable position had already been ruined, and judging from the way the Lich continued staring at him, it wasn’t going anywhere until he followed.

"Fine, let’s go see what you’re so interested in".

The undead Lich immediately turned and started moving. Damien followed behind with the undead priest. As they walked towards the sunken camp, Damien noticed something peculiar. The closer they got, the more obvious it became that something about the place was wrong.

They weren’t any dead humans. Their bodies were gone. Damien wondered where the corpses had gone. It wasn’t that he wanted anything to do with them, Damien wasn’t a fan of raising humans, but their disappearance was still suspicious.

"What do you think? Do you find this suspicious?" Damien said to the undead priest next to him.

The undead priest stared blankly at Damien, then growling softly.

Damien nodded.

"You’re right, that lazy Lich cannot be trusted. Best to dismantle him piece by piece and lock him in a box, then throw the box into the Blood Sea."

The undead Lich suddenly felt a cold chill run down its spine. It stopped walking and slowly turned towards Damien, its empty eye sockets staring at him as though it had somehow understood every word. It then gestured for Damien to come closer.

Damien walked closer, still suspicious, and the moment he got near enough, the Lich turned and pointed over the collapsed wooden wall.

Damien looked in that direction, then his expression changed into a brilliant smile.

"New Eidolon Priest, you got a makeover."

Just over the collapsed wooden wall, there was a small campfire, with the last two surviving Eidolons sitting around it. One was the New Eidolon Priest, while the other was the Divine Priest himself.

The Divine Priest had a piece of raw meat in its hand, but instead of eating it, it flung the meat away with obvious disgust and snarled darkly.

"What is this? This is beneath a divine being. I should be feasting alongside the Storm Blizzard, celebrating our subjugation over the foul-smelling, resource-stealing, weird-looking APES!"

Its roar shook the entire area, but the New Eidolon Priest barely reacted. It had clearly heard enough of this nonsense to last a lifetime.

The New Eidolon Priest looked like someone who lived on antidepressants, its black eyes weary and hollow while its dirty fur looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in days. Even its lips were chappy and breaking apart, making the exhausted Eidolon look less like a terrifying priest and more like someone who had simply given up on life.

"Would you please stop ranting? You are not a god, and the Storm Blizzard doesn’t even know you exist. I doubt he even knew the Chief existed. You ate a piece of its flesh and gained intelligence, while the Chief slept in the same place it once slumbered and gained power. You’re both delusional fools."

"What?" the Divine Priest exclaimed.

It turned towards the New Eidolon Priest, its expression filled with disbelief.

"How dare you? I am the Divine Priest, and you are just a nobody without the Chief. Disrespect me again and I will... I will..."

Its voice trailed off.

The New Eidolon Priest simply stared at it.

The Divine Priest opened its mouth, clearly searching for something threatening enough to say, but nothing came out. After all, there were only two Eidolons left, and even it understood that killing the only other survivor might make its title considerably less impressive.

The New Eidolon Priest shrugged.

"Will what? You kill me and you become the last Eidolon in existence."

The Divine Priest’s finger hung low after realizing that the New Eidolon Priest was speaking the truth. Its earlier confidence disappeared as it stared at the other Eidolon, seemingly forced to confront the fact that there was no one else left for it to command.

"Right..."

It lowered its hand and looked towards the direction of the human settlement.

"Then let’s kill something else. Those humans are probably resting, and after so many days, surely their guards must be down."

The New Eidolon Priest’s ears immediately pricked up.
