My Wife Might Be a Saintess
Chapter 445 - 444: Greetings from Su Qi
Chapter 445: Chapter 444: Greetings from Su Qi
Once Yue Xi had taken Jingyue and the others far enough away, she began to inspect their bodies.
After one round of checks, she found that none of them had any problems.
Aside from physical weakness and listlessness, everything else was normal.
Yue Xi asked Jingyue, "Did you really eat the Curse Power?"
Jingyue nodded. "I did."
Yue Xi asked curiously, "What did it feel like?"
Jingyue said with regret, "I almost choked to death."
Yue Xi: "..."
Once she knew they were all fine, Su Qi spoke up. "Master, I want to go home."
Jingyue added, "Yes, we need to get our little complainer home. She needs it, both mentally and physically."
Just helping Su Qi up, she had slipped several times and almost fallen.
It seemed her bad luck had truly been triggered.
Yue Xi nodded. "Then I’ll take you back."
Then, Yue Xi said to Jingyue and the others, "I’ll have your Martial Uncle take you back to the Holy Land. Don’t form any more parties for a while. You’re always on the verge of a team wipe."
Jingyue didn’t dare say anything. Now was the time to quietly accept the lecture.
’The only shame is that I never got to implement my project to test the resonance’s effectiveness,’ she thought. ’It all went down the drain.’
Not long after, Su Qi was led away by Yue Xi.
Jian Shisan also took Jingyue and the others back to the Holy Land.
As for the Sword Cultivation Lineage, they paid it no mind. The Sword Cultivation Lineage couldn’t even manage their own affairs right now, so how could they have the energy to worry about others?
However, before leaving, Jian Shisan still said a brief farewell to the people of the Sword Cultivation Lineage.
As for how the Sword Cultivation Lineage would clean up their mess and deal with the Secret Realm’s Seal, that was their own problem.
The people from the Holy Land wouldn’t interfere, and Jiang Zuo certainly wouldn’t.
By now, Jiang Zuo had mostly recovered and it was time to clean up the room.
Just then, Jiang Zuo received a call from Jian Shisan, from whom he learned that Su Qi was on her way back.
He also learned that his identity hadn’t been revealed to her master.
Jiang Zuo didn’t have time to ask for details. Su Qi was coming home, so he had to get everything cleaned up.
Especially the bloodstains in the bedroom. If he didn’t clean them up properly and left any trace, it would be all over.
This time, Jiang Zuo even used Magic to clean the room.
He scrubbed and washed every nook and cranny, inside and out.
The Array in the spare bedroom was also washed spotless.
After nearly half an hour, Jiang Zuo finally had everything taken care of.
Only then did he sit on the sofa to wait for Su Qi’s return.
He had wanted to watch some TV to pass the time, but the television was already destroyed.
So, he could only take out his phone. As soon as he opened it, he saw Blade Master Hai Bian @ him.
Blade Master Hai Bian: "@Po Xiao, Fellow Daoist Po Xiao, did you ask Senior Jian Shisan to give me the Purification Bead and the Curse Bead?"
Po Xiao: "Those two beads are Body Refining Treasures. They should be suitable for you. I’ll be keeping the Mist."
Jiang Zuo had been using the Mist for a long time and had no intention of returning it. He hadn’t given Blade Master Hai Bian anything in return because he hadn’t found anything suitable.
The Curse Bead and Purification Bead, however, were indeed a good fit. Although they were cracked and their effects were somewhat diminished, they were more than enough for a Junior Cultivator like Blade Master Hai Bian.
Liu Yiyi: "Fellow Daoist Po Xiao, we really have you to thank this time. Otherwise, none of us would have made it out alive."
Po Xiao: "It was nothing."
For Jiang Zuo, it really had been just a matter of convenience.
After that, Chi Xue Child and Liuyue Xue also popped up, but Jiang Zuo didn’t have time to explain anything to them.
He quickly muted everything. Calculating the time, Su Qi would probably be home soon.
At her master’s speed, it should only take an hour or two.
With everything prepared, Jiang Zuo sat there in a daze. ’Come to think of it, I don’t think we have a computer at home.’
’Why don’t we have a computer again?’
After thinking for a moment, Jiang Zuo recalled the reason. Ah, those were the days...
Back then, he was about to graduate, and his classmates in the group chat were really letting loose.
At the time, Jiang Zuo found their chats quite interesting. Mostly because they would frequently post pictures and animated emotes.
Later, a line of English even appeared.
’Wow,’ Jiang Zuo had thought at the time, ’exploring the unknown world is so much fun.’
It just so happened that Su Qi wasn’t home; she had gone out to buy groceries and was expected back in about half an hour.
So, Jiang Zuo plucked up his courage and clicked on it.
Unfortunately, the internet was so slow that it took half an hour to finally load. Jiang Zuo was completely absorbed in that unknown world.
Then, at some point, Su Qi was standing behind him. She even asked, "Is it good?"
Without waiting for his answer, Su Qi immediately took action and sent the laptop to its grave.
Afterward, she even reported the class group chat.
Which is why Jiang Zuo doesn’t even have a class group chat anymore.
’If that had happened after we were married and Su Qi was often away on business trips, I would never have let her hear the end of it.’
For a period after that, Jiang Zuo didn’t even dare to look at other women. The moment he did, Su Qi would ask, "Is your girlfriend not pretty enough for you anymore?"
And that’s why they didn’t even own a single computer.
’Destroying a laptop over such a small thing... Su Qi is just completely unreasonable.’
’I’ve spoiled her rotten.’
’She’s full of flaws.’
With that thought, Jiang Zuo decided to take a nap. He had been exhausted for days.
Jiang Zuo didn’t know how long he had slept, only that when he woke up, Su Qi was looking at him.
He was resting his head on her lap.
Seeing Jiang Zuo wake up, Su Qi smiled. "Which is softer, your wife’s lap or the sofa?"
Jiang Zuo said instinctively, "The pillow is too high."
Su Qi pinched his waist. "Are you saying my legs are fat?"
"No, your waist is thicker than your legs."
The moment Jiang Zuo finished speaking, Su Qi punched him in the stomach.
The blow made Jiang Zuo curl up instantly.
’Did I say something wrong?’ he thought. ’No, I was right.’
’Aren’t waists usually thicker than thighs?’
’If a waist was thinner than a thigh, what would that even look like?’
Then Su Qi gestured to her own waist. "Have I gotten fat? Should I go on a diet?"
To others, Su Qi’s figure might not be absolutely perfect, but to Jiang Zuo, it was the most perfect of all.
’Lose weight?’
’Is she crazy?’
Jiang Zuo turned his head to face Su Qi’s stomach, not wanting to take her bait.
"I’m asking you a question. Should I lose weight?" Su Qi prodded him.
"Are you planning to slim your waist until it’s thinner than your thighs?" Jiang Zuo asked.
"Can’t I?" Su Qi retorted.
"In that case, you might as well just make your thighs thicker, until they’re as thick as your waist," Jiang Zuo said.
Su Qi looked at him with contempt. "Would I even be pleasant to look at then? Wouldn’t you lose your appetite just looking at me?"
Jiang Zuo smiled. "I can eat with my eyes closed."
THUD!
Jiang Zuo took another punch. He felt like his stomach was about to be ruined.
"If I get that fat, then you don’t get to eat. I’ll make you throw up however much you eat."
Jiang Zuo: "..."
’What does her getting fat have to do with me?’
’It’s not like she’s pregnant.’
Finally, Jiang Zuo said, "Don’t think about losing weight or anything. You’re already so beautiful, so perfect. You wouldn’t look as good if you lost weight.
It would really be like touching a bag of bones."
Su Qi asked, "So, do you still think the pillow is too high?"
Jiang Zuo said, "It’s just right. Not too high, not too low."
"That’s more like it," Su Qi said with a smile.
