Mystic Eyes: My Eyes Steal the Laws of Cultivation

Kyrian would not give up because of a small failure. He closed his eyes. Once again, he controlled the wings. This time, he paid attention to the distribution of Qi.

Left, right. He needed balance. He beat his wings, and his body rose again. Ten meters, twenty, thirty. Then he stopped.

Kyrian smiled.

’Much better.’

He remained in the air for a few seconds. Then he tried moving his wings again. This time, a slight tilt occurred.

Kyrian quickly corrected it. He descended a few meters. Then rose again.

Descended. Rose.

Each attempt was better than the previous one.

Before long, Kyrian began to understand that he didn’t necessarily need to beat his wings forcefully.

Small movements were enough to correct his position. Larger movements served to gain speed. And extremely powerful movements could make him rise rapidly.

It was almost like controlling his own body. The only difference was that now there was a new pair of limbs behind him.

Kyrian spent the next few minutes repeating the process. Failed. Fell. Tried again. Failed once more. Returned to the ground. Tried one more time.

With every fall, his understanding increased. With every ascent, his control improved. Until, finally... Kyrian beat his wings. His body rose. He leaned his body forward. The wings followed. And he moved forward.

Not very quickly, but he moved forward. Kyrian widened his eyes.

"It worked."

He had flown forward. He wasn’t just going up and down. He was actually moving through the sky.

Kyrian continued. First, ten meters. Then, twenty. Then, fifty. Before he knew it, he was flying over several buildings near his courtyard.

The night wind struck his face. The stars shone above him. And the two enormous lightning wings pulsed behind his back.

Kyrian felt a sensation he couldn’t completely describe. Freedom.

It was different from riding Arcon. When he flew on Arcon, he was relying on another creature’s ability. It was incredible, yes, but there was a separation. He was a passenger, not the one in control.

But that... That was different. Every movement came from him. Every change in direction was caused by his own will.

If he wanted to go up, he beat his wings. If he wanted to go down, he reduced the flow of Qi. If he wanted to turn, he changed the angle of one of the wings. If he wanted to accelerate... More Qi.

Kyrian opened his arms. The smile on his face grew wider.

"This is incredible."

He accelerated. The wings beat.

’BOOM!’

His body shot forward. The world around him began passing by faster. Kyrian immediately reduced his speed.

’Calm down.’

He needed to learn how to control this. He didn’t want to end up crashing into a building. So he went back up. Once again. Then descended. Then turned left. Then right. Then flew backward.

That last attempt almost ended in a fall.

"Whoa!"

Kyrian quickly spun his body and regained his balance. He remained silent for a few seconds. Then laughed.

"Almost."

He continued. An entire hour passed. During that period, Kyrian tested practically everything he could imagine.

He rose vertically, and descended rapidly. Flew forward, flew backward. Turned left, turned right. Made wide turns, then tried tight turns. Accelerated and decelerated. Stopped in the air. And even tried to remain completely still.

At first, every movement required concentration. But as time passed, something began to change. Kyrian no longer needed to think as much. His body began to get used to it. The wings began to feel natural. He started treating them as he would truly treat his own arms.

When he wanted to turn, he simply turned. When he wanted to rise, he moved the wings. When he wanted to slow down, he reduced the flow of Qi. It was like learning to walk again. At first, it was necessary to think about every movement.

Then... Everything became natural.

Kyrian realized this when he made a turn without even consciously thinking about it. He simply did it. And it worked.

’I understand.’

He continued flying. The smile on his face didn’t disappear. At a certain point, Kyrian began to laugh.

First, a small laugh. Then, another. Until finally...

"Hahaha!"

His voice echoed through the night sky. Kyrian was genuinely having fun.

He had never imagined that a technique like that could be so enjoyable. It wasn’t just useful. It was fun. Very fun.

He accelerated again. This time, he wasn’t afraid. The wings beat forcefully. Lightning exploded around the feathers.

His body shot through the sky. The wind struck his face. Kyrian laughed even harder.

"Hahaha!"

That night, the young man, who normally remained completely focused on cultivation, simply flew.

Without thinking about anything. Without worrying about anything. Just enjoying the sensation.

After some time, however, he realized that the Qi in his body had decreased considerably.

Kyrian reduced his speed. Then began to descend. The wings gradually shrank. When his feet touched the courtyard again, he let out a long sigh.

The wings disappeared. The Qi returned to his body.

Kyrian stood still for a few seconds. Then began analyzing the technique.

"Even though it takes a lot of Qi to create the wings..."

He looked at his hands.

"...maintaining them doesn’t cost that much."

Kyrian thought for a few seconds.

"Of course, if I want to fly extremely fast, the consumption increases considerably."

He raised his head.

"But that also means that, if I need to escape or pursue someone, these wings will be perfect."

His eyes lit up.

"The more Qi I use, the faster I can fly."

Kyrian began analyzing his own speed.

"Even if I run using my maximum speed, it still wouldn’t be enough to compare."

He looked at his own back.

"Especially because I’m using Lightning Qi in the wings."

A thoughtful expression appeared on his face.

"If I use another type of Qi, I probably won’t fly as fast."

That was also something interesting.

The path of cultivation really influenced the wings. His Lightning Qi transformed the Wings of Freedom into something extremely fast.

Perhaps someone cultivating Water Qi would have wings more suited for endurance.

Perhaps someone cultivating Fire Qi could transform flight into something extremely destructive.

Perhaps someone cultivating wind Qi could surpass all of them in efficiency.

Kyrian didn’t know. But he didn’t need to know either. He was already satisfied. The Wings of Freedom were exactly the kind of technique he needed.
