Mystic Eyes: My Eyes Steal the Laws of Cultivation
Chapter 664: Leaving the Caravan
That secret technique was truly incredible. It provided mobility. It was good for escapes. Pursuits. And, above all... the ability to fly.
Kyrian smiled.
"That guy really created an interesting technique."
He thought for a moment about the original creator of that technique. What had the creation process been like? What kind of epiphany had he experienced to create such a technique?
Kyrian didn’t know. But he felt grateful.
Then Kyrian entered the house. It was late. Very late at night. Kyrian didn’t want to do anything else that night. Today would be his last day in the Sky Caravan. So he decided to simply rest.
He prepared a cup of tea. Sat down and drank it quickly.
The hot tea went down his throat, warming his body. Kyrian closed his eyes for a moment, savoring the taste.
Then he went to his room. It didn’t take long for him to fall asleep.
...
Kyrian woke up early the next morning. Long before sunrise.
The house was still completely silent. The world outside was still asleep, wrapped in the darkness that preceded dawn. Only the distant chirping of a few nocturnal birds broke the silence.
Kyrian got up and walked to the bathroom. He looked at his reflection in the mirror. His hair was a little messy.
Kyrian ran his hand through the strands and fixed them. Then he washed his face. Nothing more. He didn’t need to prepare anything. Everything had already been organized the night before.
All his belongings were inside the spatial ring. The techniques, spirit stones, pills, cauldron, formations, his weapons, and his clothes. Everything.
Kyrian left the bathroom. Then he slowly walked through the house. He looked at each room one last time. There was nothing special about that place. It was merely a rented courtyard. A temporary residence.
But still... He had spent two weeks there.
Training. Cultivating. Resting. Studying. Creating his own cultivation technique. And even learning a flying technique.
That place, no matter how simple it was, had been his home during an important period of his journey.
Kyrian stopped at the door. He looked back.
’It’s time.’
He closed the door. And didn’t look back again.
...
The sky was beginning to brighten when Kyrian reached the streets. The Sky Caravan was already waking up. Even at that hour, some people were walking through the streets.
Merchants were opening their shops. Workers were beginning their activities. Some cultivators were leaving their residences.
The city, which never completely slept, was beginning to awaken to another day.
Kyrian walked calmly.
His steps were calm but not hesitant. He had already made his decision. There was no room for doubt.
It took about half an hour for him to finally reach the establishment where he had left Arcon.
The building was large, with spacious stables and resting areas for spiritual beasts. There were several other animals there, horses, winged creatures, and war beasts. But Kyrian would recognize Arcon anywhere.
As soon as he entered, he heard a familiar sound.
’Neigh!’
Kyrian looked to the side. Arcon immediately recognized him. The winged horse raised its head. Its wings moved. It seemed extremely happy.
Kyrian smiled.
"Sorry it took so long."
He approached. He ran his hand over Arcon’s head.
"Let’s go."
He took out some spirit stones and handed them to him. Arcon immediately began devouring them.
"We’ll have a long journey again."
Arcon stomped his hooves on the ground. He seemed ready to leave that very instant.
Kyrian smiled.
"I’m ready too."
After paying for the period Arcon had stayed there, Kyrian led the horse outside.
Arcon naturally spread his wings. But Kyrian shook his head.
"Not yet."
Flying was not permitted inside the Sky Caravan. The rules were extremely strict.
Therefore, Kyrian simply began guiding him through the streets. The next two hours were spent crossing the city.
As he walked, Kyrian noticed that the movement was rapidly increasing.
The sun finally rose. The golden light illuminated the enormous buildings of the Caravan.
The streets were crowded. People carried goods. Carriages passed by. Cultivators talked.
Some visitors were already beginning to leave the city after learning that the Caravan would depart.
Kyrian overheard a conversation as he passed.
"The Caravan departs at noon."
"Yes. I don’t want to miss the departure, so I returned to the city at dawn, but it was fun exploring the regions near the End Mountain."
"I heard that the next region we’ll be going to will be much more dangerous."
Kyrian didn’t pay much attention. The Caravan would depart at noon. But he wouldn’t be here to see it.
His path was different. After approximately two hours, he finally reached the exit.
Kyrian stopped. In front of him was one of the enormous passages connecting the city to the outside of the Caravan.
It was a gigantic gate, made of stone and metal, with formation inscriptions engraved on its surface. Guards were positioned on the sides, checking those who were leaving.
For a few seconds, he remained silent. Arcon also stood still.
Kyrian looked back. The gigantic city was behind him. The Sky Tower could be seen in the distance.
He thought about Sun Luguo. About Lio Han. About the comprehension, alchemy, and battle competitions he had used to consolidate his cultivation. About the auctions. The Necklace of Three Harmonies. The secret technique.
Especially Gao Ziyue and the new feeling he had experienced around her.
And everything that had happened since he arrived at that place. It had been a busy few weeks. Much more than he had imagined.
He had arrived there without clear goals and had accomplished all of this.
He had gained experiences, connections, and memories. Kyrian finally turned forward.
"Let’s go."
He mounted Arcon. The horse spread its great wings. This time, there were no rules preventing them. Arcon leaped. Its wings beat. The horse’s body rapidly rose.
Kyrian felt the wind strike his face.
The Sky Caravan began to fall behind. He looked back one last time. He felt no sadness. Only anticipation.
The Central Territory was waiting. And his journey was only beginning, beginning anew.
"Let’s go, Arcon."
The horse let out a neigh. Then accelerated.
Kyrian looked toward the horizon. An imperceptible smile slowly appeared on his face.
"We have a long road ahead."
