Chapter 907: [907] : A Touching Reunion
Chapter 907: [907] : A Touching Reunion
Shin had revived three figures: Piccolo, the strategic powerhouse—Vegeta, the Prince of all Saiyans—and Krillin. Krillin, despite his relative lack of power, was a character Shin had always been fond of.
The three of them stared at each other, a dazed look on their faces, especially Krillin.
"Weren’t Piccolo and I just playing cards with King Yemma? How did we suddenly end up here?"
Piccolo just grunted, but Vegeta’s eyes were sharp, his gaze locked warily on Shin.
Then, his eyes darted to the side, and his expression changed dramatically. He saw Bulma.
"Vegeta, is it really you? After all these years... I can’t believe I’m seeing you again."
Tears of joy streamed down Bulma’s face. To her, Vegeta was the most important person in her life. She never thought she would see him again.
Vegeta was just as stunned. What was going on? His wife was here. Then he noticed a boy standing next to her who looked uncannily like him.
His face was a mask of confusion.
Shin stepped forward to explain. "I used a certain technique to revive you. But you’re not truly alive—you don’t have bodies of flesh and blood."
He explained their situation. The three were stunned. A power that could so casually bring people back from the dead, and not even in their original forms?
They were effectively immortal.
Bulma threw her arms around Vegeta, holding him tight. Vegeta stood there awkwardly for a moment, but then he saw how Bulma had struggled over the years, raising Trunks all on her own. A wave of emotion washed over him, though his prideful nature prevented him from showing it.
He looked at Trunks and gave a stiff nod. "Good. Very good. Like my son."
Trunks didn’t know what to say, an awkward expression on his face. He had always imagined his father as a gentle, handsome, and understanding man. But the Vegeta standing before him was cold, arrogant, and full of himself.
This was not the father he had pictured.
Piccolo asked Shin about the current state of the world, his eyes sharp and cautious as he tried to figure out who Shin was.
Shin knew it was a complicated story. He explained that he was from a world thousands of years in the past, a world with magic far beyond anything on Earth, and that he and his girlfriend had traveled to this time.
Piccolo, though skeptical, asked, "Do you have a way to save our world?"
Shin thought for a moment. "With my current strength, defeating Cell is a long shot. We have to use Bulma’s time machine to go back twenty years and make sure Goku survives."
The mention of Goku’s survival sent a jolt of excitement through Piccolo and Krillin. Goku’s death had been the greatest tragedy of their lives, and he couldn’t be revived. If he were still alive, they never would have ended up in this desperate situation.
"Yes!" Krillin grabbed Shin’s hand excitedly. "If you can bring Goku back, our world can be saved!"
Just then, a series of thunderous booms echoed in the distance. Shin’s expression changed. Cell was here.
"We can’t waste any more time. Let’s get going," Kushina said.
She wasn’t one for sentimentality—her focus was on the practical problem at hand. They had to get to the past to ensure their own survival.
Shin nodded. "Kushina and I are going back, along with Trunks and Bulma. You three are indestructible. See if you can hold Cell off."
It was a bold, almost shameless command, but Vegeta, Piccolo, and Krillin nodded in agreement without a second thought. They felt it was their duty.
But then Bulma spoke up. "I’m staying here with Vegeta."
Shin’s expression shifted. Trunks looked at his mother in anguish. "Mom, you can’t fight! How can you stay here? Come with us!"
Shin knew this was a consequence of his arrival—a butterfly effect. In the original timeline, Cell had never found Bulma’s location, and she had survived. Of course, her future was still tragic, as Trunks would eventually die at Cell’s hands.
But now, if Bulma stayed, she was signing her own death warrant.
Shin didn’t know how to comfort her. He just looked at Trunks.
Trunks gripped his mother’s hand, pleading with her to come with them.
Then Vegeta spoke. "Alright, Bulma. Stay. I will fight for you until my last breath."
Trunks looked at his father, confused and anxious. Why would he say that?
But Shin understood. Vegeta understood Bulma better than anyone. She had seen him again after so long—she wouldn’t be separated from him now. They would live together, or they would die together.
That was her pride—and his.
"That’s right!"
Bulma nodded and looked at Trunks.
Seeing his mother’s resolve, Trunks finally understood what she wanted.
He nodded slowly. "...Mom, I respect your decision. Don’t worry, I will save you."
Bulma smiled, relieved, then looked at Vegeta with deep affection. He took her hand. It was a heart-wrenchingly tender moment.
By now, Cell was very close. The revived Hokage, despite fighting with all their might, were weakening. Their reanimated bodies, summoned by Shin, were not regenerating as quickly after taking damage.
Only Hashirama and Minato were still standing.
"Minato, are you ready?" Hashirama asked.
Minato nodded. He knew what Hashirama was planning.
<Wood Style: Wood Dragon Detonation!>
Minato unleashed a Flying Thunder God Ultra-Big Ball Rasengan, both of them pouring everything they had into their ultimate attacks.
They were prepared to self-destruct. If they couldn’t stop him, they would take Cell with them.
The three attacks collided in a blinding flash of light. Cell’s body was torn in half, and both Hashirama and Minato were obliterated in the blast.
Cell collapsed, gasping. Even with his regenerative abilities, it would take a long time to recover from such a blow.
A flicker of fear crossed his mind. He had underestimated Shin, and now his plans were in jeopardy, his own power diminished.
He had to capture Shin, kill him, and eliminate this threat for good.
He staggered towards the house. Suddenly, a blue light emanated from within. A chilling thought struck Cell. A time machine. They had built a time machine.
He lunged for the house, but three figures blocked his path. A foot slammed into his face, and caught off guard, he stumbled and fell.
Vegeta slowly walked over, a cold, mocking smile on his face as he looked down at the wounded Cell.
