Chapter 474 - 474: Resurrection of Shibai Otsutsuki

  • Next Chapter

Inside the Kara Hideout.

ROAR! ROAR!

Amado's entire body began to twist violently, weird bulges protruding across his skin, one after another.

"What's happening to him?!"

Everyone present, including Daemon, looked on at the anomaly taking place over Amado in absolute shock.

Code, Kawaki, and the rest were equally stunned.

"Did something go wrong with that guy while he was modifying his own body?" Victor speculated boldly, a tinge of gloating in his tone.

Ever since Jigen died, the operations of Kara had been jointly managed by the Inner members.

As the most brilliant scientist among them, Amado had created numerous powerful cyborgs, so he ended up running most of the day-to-day affairs.

That had long irritated Victor.

It was just that the subordinates under Victor's command were rather useless in terms of combat power.

Fortunately, his own research on the Hashirama cells had already begun yielding minor breakthroughs.

Still, facing the situation at hand, what on earth was happening to Amado?

"Will he be okay?" Code asked aloud.

He still needed to fulfill Jigen's grand will, and Amado was the vital source of Kara's core battle power. If Amado died, his plans would collapse.

Kawaki added, "Whatever it is, we'd better check his condition. If he dies, a lot of the organization's business will grind to a complete halt."

Amado was the true pillar of Kara.

Key members like Code, Kawaki, and Daemon had all been modified by Amado's hands.

Without Amado, they would indeed be severely crippled in their operations.

After all, much of the intelligence and technology cracked from the Shinobi Alliance had been handled by Amado. Without him, carrying out their next moves would prove exceptionally difficult.

Daemon stood to the side, equally anxious, because he felt only Amado possessed the means to rescue his sister, EIDA.

ROAR!

Suddenly, a sudden, horrifying mutation erupted.

Amado was gone.

In his place stood a white figure—visually resembling an ordinary, completely standard Otsutsuki.

Yet in the eyes of Code and the others, it felt as though they were gazing upon the totality of the universe itself.

It was as if primal chaos had parted, splitting existence cleanly into Yin and Yang.

"Who are you?!"

Code stared at the Otsutsuki standing before him, almost seeing Jigen's silhouette superimposed over him.

Yet he was certain this wasn't Jigen.

How could Amado turn into this? What had happened?

The rest of the group braced themselves as if facing a mortal threat.

Cold sweat poured down Victor's face as the sensory apparatus installed on his body screamed at him: the entity before them possessed an absurd, terrifying level of chakra.

Chakra of such pure quality simply shouldn't exist in the mortal realm.

It was like witnessing a living myth.

"I am Shibai Otsutsuki."

With pale white skin, noble adornments, and eyes that looked deceptively like a normal person's—lacking even the prominent horns typical of an Otsutsuki—he spoke in a calm, deliberate tone.

The moment he opened his mouth, those around him felt the atmospheric Five Elemental Natures swirling naturally around his form.

Water, Lightning, Earth, Wind, Fire...

"Shibai Otsutsuki!"

Daemon's pupils shrank in terror as a wave of absolute peril washed over him.

SWISH~

Off in the distance, Shibai Otsutsuki casually raised his hand, aiming directly at Daemon... and Code.

And... Kashin Koji.

Damn it! all three screamed in their minds.

"Return my capabilities to me," Shibai Otsutsuki commanded softly.

"Mount Flames!"

As if foreseeing the danger in advance, Kashin Koji slammed his hands together to invoke a summoning jutsu, causing a massive volcanic formation to erupt out of nowhere right on the spot.

The others scattered in sheer shock to dodge the flames.

"Kashin Koji, what are you doing?!"

Before anyone could hurl further accusations, they realized Kashin Koji had already used his reverse-summoning technique to vanish and escape.

Daemon and Code, however, had no time to react.

Both were pulled straight into a swirling vortex that materialized in Shibai Otsutsuki's palm, absorbed completely in a fraction of a second.

"You..."

Victor, Deepa, and the remaining members were paralyzed with sheer horror.

That was Code—Code with his limiters removed—and he had been killed just like that!

And Daemon, whose reflection capability had remained completely uncrackable by anyone, was gone in an instant.

Kawaki's hand instantly manifested dense, dark-brown hardened material as he launched himself straight at Shibai.

"Die!"

"Don't be in such a hurry."

Shibai Otsutsuki reached out a single hand. A subtle wave radiated outward, freezing Kawaki's body mid-air, completely immobilized.

Streams of chakra then connected to everyone present, flooding Shibai's mind with vast stores of memory.

"Back then, I suffered a defeat here. This time, I will reclaim everything that was taken from me."

Through their memories, he learned that of all the ancient Sage Regions that once spanned the Shinobi World, only three remained today—and they happened to be the three weakest ones.

A faint smile touched Shibai Otsutsuki's face.

Yet the smile faded almost as quickly as it appeared.

The sole reason he had suddenly chosen to resurrect through Amado's body was because, within the threads of the future, he could not foresee any timeline where he was defeated.

However, his secondary capability—his heightened sixth sense—had alerted him to a profound, imminent danger.

In that critical moment, he knew he could no longer afford to wait, lest he lose his chance entirely.

Thus, he forced his resurrection through Amado's vessel.

"To think Amado managed to isolate and extract my capabilities... What a remarkable human. He carries the demeanor of the ancient Chief of Wisdom who once led the Shinobi World."

Back then, it was that very Chief of Wisdom who had cracked his Omniscience and Omnipotence, laying down key strategic countermeasures that ultimately led to his downfall in this realm.

Back then, Shibai had been forced to rely on his foresight to set up a long-term resurrection mechanism before dying.

To see that a modern human like Amado could actually separate his divine powers left him genuinely astonished.

The latent potential of humanity was absurdly vast.

Hmm? My Omniscience and Omnipotence were completely separated out by him... No matter, the present Shinobi World no longer possesses those extraordinary figures from back then.

However, this physical vessel won't last very long. The rushed, forced resurrection has compromised my stability. I must locate a proper vessel to reincarnate anew.

It wasn't that he couldn't pick a random body, but only a truly compatible vessel capable of bearing his raw power could allow him to unleash his full capabilities.

For now, though, he needed to restore this current vessel to a higher state.

A massive influx of research data from Amado's memory streamed through his mind.

Turning his gaze onto the remaining members, he spoke in a tone laced with absolute majesty, "From this moment on, you will serve as my subordinates. Prepare yourselves—in one year's time, I will make the entire Shinobi World my personal domain."

Without giving them any opportunity to object, he branded each of them with a divine technique unique to his power, placing them under absolute control.

"Understood, Lord Otsutsuki!"

None dared to utter a word of resistance; his power was simply too overwhelming and terrifying.

He had casually absorbed Code—with his limiters removed—alongside Daemon in the blink of an eye. None among them possessed anything remotely close to that level of strength.

Meanwhile, Kawaki remained suspended helplessly in mid-air, a look of grim foreboding plastered across his face.

"What is the meaning of this?"

Shibai Otsutsuki glanced over at Kawaki. "Oh? A little brat of our clan... To think he was beaten to death by someone else. How pathetic."

He could already sense the remnants of Isshiki Otsutsuki's power and Karma residing within Kawaki.

A look of firm resolve gleamed in Shibai's eyes.

In that case, let me lend him a hand.

...

Inside Konoha.

A figure was suddenly disgorged from a toad's mouth. Kashin Koji collapsed onto the ground, dripping with cold sweat.

"Thank goodness for my foresight capability... Otherwise, I'd be dead for sure."

Even he hadn't anticipated that his foresight would be so heavily suppressed when used against Shibai Otsutsuki.

He had originally hoped to use that capability to eliminate Amado before Shibai's resurrection could take place.

Unfortunately, the sheer atmospheric pressure and interference had triggered a fatal miscalculation, leading to his failure.

"Who are you? How did you get in here?"

A figure materialized directly in front of Kashin Koji out of thin air.

"Never mind—I'll just capture you first and ask questions later."
