The warhorse let out a shrill, agonized neigh, a sound that was especially wretched in the darkness and utterly bone-chilling.

Lucifer stood amidst the darkness, looking down imperiously at the scene before him, the triumphant expression on his face growing more intense.

He spread his arms wide, as if embracing this dark victory, or perhaps proclaiming his absolute dominion to the world.

Meanwhile, Xiao Yu, Nanting Snow, Lin Zuoguang, and Gao Liceng, having witnessed everything, felt fear rise in their hearts like a raging tide that threatened to drown them.

Dark Lucifer stood within the inky blackness, the dark aura around him churning as if it were a tangible substance.

His icy gaze swept over the three heavily wounded Knights of Light floating helplessly in the sea. The corner of his mouth curled into a cruel smile as he slowly raised his hand.

Instantly, a black beam of light, as thick as tar, shot out from his palm.

The beam, carrying a chilling, evil power, shot straight toward the three Knights of Light like a roaring beast of darkness.

These three Knights of Light had just survived a vicious battle against Xiao Yu and his companions. Already heavily wounded, they had no strength left to resist.

Faced with this sudden, fatal blow, their eyes filled with despair and resentment, but they could only watch helplessly as the black beam consumed them.

With a few piercing screams, their bodies were utterly obliterated by the immense Dark Power, as if they were fragile slips of paper. Only a few faint streaks of blood remained on the surface of the sea, soon to be washed away by the waves.

After dealing with the three Knights of Light, Dark Lucifer slowly turned his head. His spectral green eyes fell upon Xiao Yu, Nanting Snow, Lin Zuoguang, and Gao Liceng.

He lifted his chin slightly and spoke. "You need not be alarmed. I have come to help Chu He, not to make enemies of you."

The four of them froze, their faces etched with utter shock.

Gao Liceng frowned, asking in disbelief, "You? Help Chu He?"

Dark Lucifer sneered. "That’s right. I represent the Dark Holy See. The Bright Holy See, which those three Knights of Light served, has been our sworn enemy for millennia."

"Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven. I’m sure Chu He will understand the meaning of that phrase."

A flicker of determination and defiant pride flashed in his eyes.

Nanting Snow, Xiao Yu, Lin Zuoguang, and Gao Liceng could hardly believe their ears.

They never would have imagined that the terrifying Dark Lucifer had appeared for Chu He of all people.
