Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven
Chapter 680: Nano Race
Grey finally gained access to the mechanism that had previously prevented outsiders from being rejected by the Information Layer.
With the mechanism now exposed, the cognitive anchor that allowed stable existence within that realm was laid bare before his perception.
Immediately, he began analyzing the structure with intense focus.
The mechanism was considerably more complex than he had initially expected. Layers upon layers of interwoven patterns formed a sophisticated framework that defied simple replication.
As Grey continued examining it, he noticed something significant within the structure.
Traces of State Power were woven throughout its foundation.
At first, this made replication seem difficult, perhaps even impossible for most beings. After all, State Power was not something ordinary cultivators could access or manipulate.
However, Grey soon realized something important.
His own practitioners could utilize State Power through Axiom Power.
The Nexus Path he had created operated on principles that touched upon similar frequencies. With that realization, the underlying pattern gradually became clear.
Grey identified the core components and successfully reproduced the mechanism within his own understanding.
Seeing the result, a smile appeared on his face.
He could now create the same type of cognitive anchor for others. This meant he could theoretically allow almost anyone belonging to his path to enter the Information Layer without being rejected.
However, Grey immediately decided not to make this capability public.
If news spread that he could grant access to the Information Layer, countless factions would inevitably target him. The Mecha Race guarded this ability jealously for good reason.
For now, he would only grant access to a select group.
Alissa and a few other trusted individuals would receive this gift first.
Satisfied with his analysis, Grey stopped examining the mechanism and turned toward Anthony.
"Thank you for allowing me this opportunity," Grey said sincerely.
Hearing this, Anthony waved his hand dismissively.
He naturally assumed Grey had failed to properly analyze the Mecha Race’s ability.
"I already knew there was little you could accomplish," Anthony explained. "The Mecha Race’s ability has inherent limitations that cannot be easily overcome."
After saying this, he crossed his arms with a knowing expression.
"Only the Mecha King can truly alter or overcome those restrictions. Don’t feel bad about failing to replicate it."
Hearing this, Grey simply smiled and thanked him again.
However, he deliberately kept the fact that he had successfully replicated the mechanism entirely to himself.
Then, Anthony reached into his pocket and produced a small crystal.
"Take this," he said, handing it to Grey. "It’s a communication trace you can use to contact me after entering the Higher Realm."
Grey accepted the crystal and examined it briefly.
Afterward, Anthony continued speaking.
"Considering your current strength, I recommend that you eventually ascend. Remaining in the lower realms for too long could become dangerous."
As he said this, he looked at Grey with genuine interest in his eyes.
"Find me if you ever need assistance. Your existence has genuinely intrigued me, and I would rather not see someone as unusual as you die prematurely."
Hearing this, Grey nodded at his words.
"I appreciate the offer," he replied. "I’ll keep it in mind."
Before leaving, Grey suddenly remembered that Jasmine had also come here for a reason.
With that thought, he turned toward her and then looked back at Anthony.
"Can you help my friend as well?" Grey asked.
Hearing this, Jasmine stepped forward and explained her purpose.
"I need information regarding Reality Ships," she said. "Specifically, advanced construction methods and navigation systems."
Anthony readily agreed to her request.
"That’s easily arranged," he said. "Give me a moment to compile the relevant data."
Immediately afterward, he began gathering the requested information through his connection to the Mecha Race’s databases.
While they waited, the Mecha Race’s forces arrived at their location.
Soon, a fleet of advanced vessels descended from the dimensional layers above. Their sleek metallic hulls gleamed with circuit patterns that pulsed with Data Energy.
As the fleet approached, one of the higher-ranking members exited their ship and approached Anthony.
His eyes immediately locked onto Grey and Jasmine with suspicion.
"Commander Anthony," the soldier said sharply. "Why are unknown intruders standing alongside you?"
Hearing this, Anthony raised a hand to calm him.
"Relax," he said. "You should have already sensed that he is not hostile."
However, the soldier’s eyes narrowed.
"He possesses a server anchored to the Information Layer," the soldier pointed out. "Such an ability could potentially belong to one of our enemies."
After saying this, he stepped closer to Grey with obvious wariness.
"This one might belong to the Nano Race."
Hearing the unfamiliar name, Grey became curious.
"Nano Race?" he repeated.
Anthony then explained the situation.
"The Nano Race is one of the powerful races associated with machines and technology," he said. "They are hostile to the Mecha Race and possess their own advanced technological abilities."
Hearing this, Grey stored the information away for future reference.
Anthony then addressed the suspicious soldier directly.
"Grey is not a member of the Nano Race," he stated firmly. "The Nano Race has not sent anyone into the Endless Reality to search for the Core."
With that, he shook his head with a hint of contempt.
"They are notoriously arrogant and unwilling to personally undertake such dangerous work. Instead, they prefer to wait until another faction finds something valuable and then seize it from them."
Even after hearing this explanation, the soldier still looked unconvinced.
"How can you be certain?" he demanded.
Hearing the question, Anthony replied,
"I have already examined him thoroughly. He is an ordinary human by origin. There is no trace suggesting any connection to the Nano Race."
After hearing this, the surrounding Mecha soldiers carefully examined Grey with their own perception.
They scanned his body, his energy signatures, and his genetic structure.
Eventually, they accepted Anthony’s judgment.
As far as they could tell, Grey genuinely appeared to be human.
With the misunderstanding resolved, Jasmine received the requested Reality Ship information.
The data transferred directly into a storage crystal that Anthony provided.
"This contains everything you need," Anthony said. "Advanced construction blueprints, navigation algorithms, and maintenance protocols."
Hearing this, Jasmine accepted the crystal with gratitude.
"Thank you," she said sincerely.
After receiving the information, Grey and Jasmine finally prepared to leave.
Before they departed, Anthony gave Grey one final reminder.
"Remember, contact me once you reach the Higher Realm if you require assistance."
Hearing this, Grey thanked him sincerely before departing.
Although Grey was somewhat curious about exploring the Mecha Race’s territory, he decided against lingering. The surrounding soldiers remained suspicious of him despite accepting Anthony’s judgment.
Because of that, staying any longer would only attract unnecessary attention and potentially cause complications.
Once they were safely away from the Mecha Race’s forces, Grey turned to Jasmine.
"Let’s head home," he suggested.
Hearing this, Jasmine happily agreed with his suggestion.
"Oh yeah. I’ve decided it’s finally time for me to step into the Tenth Rank," she announced. "I intend to ascend to the Higher Realm alongside you rather than remain behind."
Hearing this, Grey looked at her with approval.
"That’s a good decision," he said.
Thanks to her Future One Physique, Jasmine’s breakthrough should have been considerably easier than it would have been for an ordinary practitioner. Grey had no doubt that she could successfully make the transition.
With that decided, the two returned to the Nexus Universe together.
During that time his mind was still on the matters mentioned by Anthony. According to him the entrance to earth was in the higher realm and there was a possibility that the entrance might just be in the Zenith Heaven and that might be why his grandfather was able to reincarnate there.
He was 90% sure of it. But, without further evidence he couldn’t say anything for sure.
But he will soon reach Zenith Heaven and find his answers.
As soon as Grey arrived, he gathered the important members of his faction.
Soon, Alissa, Julie, Alan, and the others assembled in the main hall of his domain. They looked at him with curiosity, wondering why he had called them together so suddenly.
Grey stood before them with a satisfied expression.
"I have successfully analyzed the mechanism behind the Information Layer’s entrance process," he announced.
Hearing this, the room went silent.
"More importantly," Grey continued, "I can now officially create the necessary cognitive anchors."
After saying this, he looked at each of them in turn.
"Selected members of our path can now enter the Information Layer without being rejected."
Hearing this, Alan was the most shocked of everyone present.
Of all of them, Alan had wanted this capability the most.
His Esper Path had always been limited by its inability to interface directly with the Information Layer. Because of this, hearing that Grey had finally solved this problem left him momentarily speechless.
"You actually did it," Alan said in disbelief.
Hearing this, Grey nodded with a slight smile.
The possibility of entering the Information Layer represented a massive breakthrough for their entire group. More importantly, it potentially opened an entirely new stage of development of everyone present here.
