“So what’s up with you?” Grey asked casually.

“I don’t see you out much. Are you becoming a shut-in now?”

He looked around and noticed all sorts of game consoles scattered around the place.

The once immortal master was being consumed by entertainment!

“What else is there aside from following your path?” she replied.

“Are you sure? You look out of it.”

He turned on the TV and opened a bag of chips. He took some and bit into them before offering the bag to Xia Qingyue.

“Being a higher-dimensional being doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy life. Am I right?”

She nodded quietly.

Then a look of hesitation appeared on her face.

“Well, there is something, Grey.”

“Oh? So I was right.” Grey smiled hearing this. “Tell me.”

He lowered the TV volume and gave her his full attention.

“I’ve been getting these visions,” she began. “It started since I entered the 7th Rank.”

Grey let her speak as he continued chewing on chips.

She recounted everything that had happened, describing the corrupted world and the deaths she witnessed.

“A vast world, huh?” Grey appeared thoughtful.

He immediately began scanning her source with his perception.

Grey’s expression slowly turned strange. He noticed nothing out of the ordinary coming from Xia Qingyue.

“Strange. I don’t sense anything unusual.”

Even Xia Qingyue was surprised hearing this. If anyone could figure out what was wrong with her, it would be Grey.

“Or maybe it’s related to the Ascendancy Domain?” Grey said thoughtfully.

He remembered Bai Yue. He couldn’t sense anything out of the ordinary from her either. Then she mysteriously vanished and suddenly became connected to the Fate Race.

Perhaps there was no concept of soul in the Ascendancy Domain. Maybe there was something equivalent that only awakened under certain conditions.

It was possible.

Grey patted her shoulder reassuringly.

“Well, try not to think too much about it. But I’m pretty sure you’re some reincarnated being. When you awaken to that power, come find me.”

Xia Qingyue silently stared at Grey.

The way he spoke so casually oddly made her feel at ease.

“Can I count on you, Grey?”

Grey laughed warmly. “Of course you can.”

If there was anyone who could help her, it would be him.

He had achieved many impossible feats. He didn’t think he wouldn’t be able to help her.

Just then, Grey frowned and stood up abruptly.

“Xia Qingyue, wait here.”

His figure flickered and vanished.

The next moment, he appeared beside Aria who was glowing with a golden light. As soon as he arrived, the glow vanished instantly.

“Was that… Ascendancy Power just now?” Grey’s expression slowly became cold.

Then the soul-nourishing jade he carried suddenly blinked. The World Tree’s voice came through the connection.

“That Ascendancy Power just now, Boss Grey. It was similar to that Bai Yue girl. I think this was an attempt at forcefully teleporting Aria away.”

Grey’s expression became even colder at her words.

Aria then slowly opened her eyes groggily. She looked at Grey with confusion in her doll-like little face.

“What happened, Dad?”

Grey came forward and hugged Aria immediately. He sent a wisp of Nexus Axiom Power into her without hesitation.

This would prevent future Ascendancy Power from reaching her. Nexus Axiom Energy was absolute and could not be stopped by mere Ascendancy Power.

Aria looked shocked by his sudden actions.

“What happened, Dad?” she asked again.

“Aria, did you feel anything strange just now? Why did you suddenly fall asleep? You don’t need sleep.”

Aria’s expression became strange as she processed his questions.

“Huh, you’re right. I did fall asleep, didn’t I?”

Her expression grew even more confused.

“When I was dreaming, I saw several golden hands extended toward me. But I didn’t immediately take their hands. Before I could decide, I woke up.”

Grey’s expression softened at her words.

“It’s good that you didn’t take the hand.”

He patted her head gently.

“Don’t worry. Dad will keep you safe.”

He looked around and noticed the TV was still playing in the background.

“You were watching TV, right? Continue watching. I’ll step out for a bit.”

Grey left the room and the World Tree materialized beside him.

“It seems like that Bai Yue really is from the Fate Race,” the World Tree said.

“Aria is also connected to that race. They came to get her the same way as before.”

“World Tree, can you trace the Ascendancy Power?” Grey asked.

The World Tree shook her head regretfully.

“I’m afraid not. It’s the same as with Bai Yue. I cannot trace it at all.”

“These Fate Race people. Do they think they can just take anything around my place?” Grey’s expression became ice cold. “It seems like they don’t know their place.”

Grey had already decided to have a talk with the Fate Race. But he needed to find them first.

Then he sighed deeply.

For now, his daughter was safe. That teleportation power shouldn’t reach her again with the Nexus Axiom Power protecting her.

He had to tackle things one by one.

First, he needed to reach the Higher Realm and find the entrance. Then find his grandfather. Then locate the Fate Race and deal with Tian Yuan.

Tian Yuan was definitely planning something related to the Higher Realm. He seemed to possess an extraordinary hatred against it.

There was still much to do.

Grey stared at the sky above the Nexus Domain.

But this time, he wasn’t weak.

BOOM!

His power spread beyond the Nexus Universe in an instant. It began stretching across countless universes.

1,000 universes. Then 100,000. Then 1,000,000. Then 100,000,000.

It kept going and going.

His consciousness descended through the planes. The 11th plane. The 10th. All the way down to the 2nd plane of existence.

His awareness covered everything in a bubble of perception.

If he wished, he could crush everything with a single thought. His Thought Demolishing Matrix was more than enough.

But this was just the beginning.

Higher Realm beings truly had capabilities to destroy all of the lower realms with their infinitely expanding realities.

He would reach that level soon.
