Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 1283 Changing History

The waiter pushed a small wooden cart, with buckets piled with various kitchen waste.

“Dump this garbage into the waste heap,” Naoki said.

“Huh?” The owner and the waiter were stunned.

“Don’t worry, it won’t attack you,” Naoki continued.

The two glanced at the seemingly calm demon beast, and only then did they muster the courage to shakily dump the garbage in.

Upon seeing the fresh garbage, Garbodor’s eyes sparkled with bright light.

“Go ahead and eat, it’s all yours, no one’s going to fight you for it,” Naoki said.

Garbodor dove into the garbage heap and immediately began feasting.

The owner and the waiter watched this scene wide-eyed.

“It’s fine now, this Pok… this demon beast specializes in eating garbage. The reason it attacked you was because it saw you as competitors for the garbage,”

Naoki paused and continued, “It understands now, from now on you can bring all the waste here; it’s a demon beast that specializes in eating garbage.”

The owner and the waiter were dumbfounded. The braver waiter tentatively approached, and indeed, the demon beast did not attack him again.

“Amazing!” The waiter was inexplicably excited, “So does this mean we won’t have to burn garbage anymore?”

“If nothing goes wrong, then yes,” Naoki nodded.

Hearing this, the owner finally felt relieved, and gratefully said:

“Thank you so much, Mr. Demon Beast Tamer. I’ve already given instructions, and the kitchen is preparing your dinner, please wait a moment.”

Naoki grinned, “Thanks a lot!”

With the matter resolved, the restaurant gained a professional garbage disposer, and in return, they received a sumptuous dinner.

In the restaurant, Koraidon was eating messily, while Mew and Teddiursa were also very happy.

Naoki and Lono smiled as they watched the Pokemon in front of them, and Lono couldn’t help but say:

“It feels like Trainers hold a different status in this place!”

Naoki nodded, “After all, most of the people here are ordinary, and few think of capturing Pokemon and commanding them in battles. To everyone, Pokemon might be seen as scary creatures, right?”

And the “Demon Beast Tamers” who could control Pokemon naturally seemed quite powerful in the eyes of the people of this era.

Just then, two guests at a neighboring table began discussing something that caught Naoki’s attention.

“Hey, did you hear? The two Princes’ armies recently had a fierce battle on the Pompey Plain!”

“What was the result? Who won?”

“No idea, but I heard the losses were heavy, blood flowed like rivers on the Pompey Plain, and there were bodies everywhere!”

“What about the two Princes? Wait a minute! They wouldn’t bring the fight to the royal city, would they?”

“No idea, there’s no news yet, bringing the fight to the royal city… shouldn’t happen, right? Apparently, the Princes avoided the royal city deliberately to avoid scaring the Old King, aiming for a fair duel where the winner would inherit the position of King.”

“Sigh, it seems uncertain now, the two Princes have gone mad… who knows when they’ll take the fight to the royal city.”

War? Naoki paused, has the war between the two Princes chosen by Reshiram and Zekrom already begun?

Truth and Ideals…

If nothing goes wrong, history is likely to repeat itself.

The two Princes would end up severely injured, Reshiram and Zekrom would expend a great deal of Life Force and turn back to stone, the Dragon Vein energy would become chaotic, the land destroyed, and the entire kingdom of the Earth people would be obliterated.

Until the Old King and Victini once again wielded the Sword of the Earth to suppress the Dragon Vein.

This event is destined to occur.

“What’s wrong?” Lono noticed Naoki’s expression and looked concerned.

“Nothing, are you full? Let’s head back to the castle!”

“Okay, let’s go back!” Lono, having had her fill, helped Koraidon wipe the oil off its mouth, then stood up.

The two bid farewell to the restaurant owner and returned together to the castle.

The castle was as quiet as ever, with only the Old King and a few elderly women taking care of the king’s daily needs.

In the evening, Naoki sat on the bed trimming Koraidon’s claws, combing Mew and Teddiursa’s fur when suddenly there was a knock on the door.

He was a bit surprised and opened the door to find Victini outside.

“Victini?”

Mew and Teddiursa also flew over.

Victini looked at them, its mood somewhat low.

“Vee…vee…”

“What’s wrong? You’re not happy to see familiar faces again?” Naoki asked in confusion.

“Vee!” Victini shook its head vigorously.

Of course not! It was just… just feeling a bit sad because the current Old King had with him someone from its past, and they hadn’t gone through that event yet.

Through the Power of Viridian, Naoki quickly understood Victini’s meaning.

Hmm, this was indeed a problem…

With the future Victini returning to the past, this timeline now housed two Victinis simultaneously.

And the past Victini and the Old King hadn’t experienced that event… so, to Victini, the current Old King was not its Old King.

Time paradox, parallel timelines… just thinking about it is complicated.

“Teddi…”

“Mew…”

Teddiursa and Mew looked at the low-spirited Victini, feeling sympathy for it.

Teddiursa asked, “Teddi?” (So, do you have any plans now?)
