Absolute Beast Dominion - Chapter 447: Crocodile - 1

Chapter 447: Crocodile – 1
“Well, now it’s your problem. But congratulations, you have learned the skill successfully and are free to go. I have given you a spatial ring on your finger that contains your rewards, which you didn’t even realise I put on you. Check it after you deal with that thing.” Gunther’s voice echoed inside Leo’s head, growing increasingly distant by the second, as if he were moving farther and farther away.
“And yes, don’t come back to me unless you can comfortably sense things within 500 meters.”
“And if you don’t want to kill that thing, that’s on you, but just so you know, the heart of that beast alone can sell for up to 6 Million AC.”
Hearing those last words, a fire lit up in Leo’s eyes.
Because there could never be enough money in hand!
And if the heart alone was worth 6 million, then what about the hide? The bones? The mana crystals? The Beast Core? The Soul Crystal? He could get everything, and just one beast could easily net him more than 10 Million!
But–
“Shit, what type of beast would even be valued at 10 million?” Leo muttered as he steadied himself to jump at any moment because whatever the beast was, it was surfacing directly beneath his position, rapidly digging through the ground.
Grrrrrr…
The ground shook as a mini earthquake spread through the area, making the nearby trees tremble. Many low-ranked wild beasts scurried away in fear, and flocks of birds burst into the air.
“Oh crap! A Mid 4-star beast?!” Leo instantly pinpointed the beast’s exact strength level the moment it entered the inner range of [Spiritual Sense].
Leo immediately leapt high onto a tree and took out his phone to check his location. But the moment he saw it, his eyes widened.
“What the fuck?! 500 kilometres away?!” Since Gunther had teleported him here directly, Leo had never actually checked how far away he was from the academy while sitting beneath the waterfall.
“Where in the world did that geezer drop me?!” Leo shouted.
The very next moment, the ground erupted.
KATHOOOOM!
Dust and debris rose high up, blocking the view.
Leo’s eyes widened at the scale of the eruption, but he couldn’t even process the details because he needed to dodge whatever was coming straight at him.
Yes, straight at him.
The nearly 20-meter monstrosity launched itself directly upward through the ground at almost 20 meters high above the ground, perfectly aimed at Leo.
He only caught a glimpse of a massive maw lined with triangular, razor-sharp teeth that could rip through his skin like tissue paper.
[Luminous Prowl Steps]!
Activating Nyxa’s skill, Leo instantly appeared 20 meters away, narrowly dodging the snapping maw.
But–
[Vine Estranglement]!
He immediately used the vine skill, generating a thick vine from the ground below and making it lash against his body, throwing him even farther through the air because, at that exact moment, a massive reptilian tail swept through the space he had just vacated, completely shattering the vines in its path.
As for Leo, since he had taken a controlled hit from his own attack, the damage was minimal and healed almost instantly.
While flying through the air, he fired a water hose attack toward the dust cloud, striking whatever was hidden within it.
Fhisssssss!
The water harmlessly splashed over the creature, but it effectively settled the surrounding dust, making the figure clear.
“A fucking crocodile!” Leo exclaimed as he landed on both of his legs which facing towards the beast and skidded backward across the ground before eventually coming to a halt.
Dreadmaw Crocodrake (Mid 4-star) – Super Bloodline
The crocodile beast was nearly 20 meters long, and its bulky figure suggested it was well fed. Its glowing yellow eyes remained locked onto Leo, while its crocodilian hide was lined with green-tipped spikes sharp enough to suggest poison.
*pic*
SKRRRRAAAWWWHH!!
The beast opened its maw wide and roared, the sound powerful enough to violently shake Leo’s mind.
“So that’s what a proper Mid 4-star beast looks like,” Leo said as a subconscious grin slowly formed on his face.
The last time he fought something Mid 4-star was Lily’s Hydra, and at that time it had been heavily nerfed. No physical body meant less physical impact, limited mana meant weaker attacks, and overall, the fight simply hadn’t been fun.
But this?
This would be.
Because now, he had the strength to properly fight a beast like this.
Leo steadied himself as violet flames burst around his fists and the [Tough Body] trait activated at full force, turning his skin bark-textured. He wasn’t using the dagger because the dagger itself was only capable of dealing with mid-4-star level, and that was against beasts without monstrous hides like this crocodile.
“HUP!” Leo grunted as he jumped high into the air. The violet-coated fist slowly gained a tint of white, signifying the activation of [Critical Strike
].
RRRRAAAAUUUGHHH!!
The beast roared again, and instantly the moisture in the surrounding air rose to an astounding degree. As Leo ascended higher, he saw the forest floor rapidly turning into a bubbling swamp covered in green mist.
Leo immediately realised that stepping into it would mean instant poisoning.
But he didn’t back down.
His jump trajectory would make him land directly on the crocodile.
Swirl!
Suddenly, a swirling mass of green poison, water, and soil began gathering inside the crocodile’s mouth, all of it aimed directly at Leo.
Leo promptly cancelled both skills and used [Wind Gust] downward into the newly formed swamp, creating an uplift that stabilised his body in mid-air and even pushed him higher. He couldn’t create platforms like Lily because Lunaria needed to be spirit-integrated with the body for that.
But that brief moment of uplift was enough.
Leo focused intensely as he formed a genuine water cannon this time, and not even 2 seconds later, the crocodile fired its attack.
FSHHHHH-KRRRSHHH!!
In an instant, the shot crossed nearly half the distance toward Leo.
Leo immediately fired his own water beam.
WHRRRRAAASSSHH!!
The two beams collided.
THOOOOMMM-SPLAAASH!!
The clash happened dangerously close to Leo, and greenish poison splashed over his exposed upper body, instantly making his skin sizzle and burn.
But Leo wasn’t fazed.
He pushed his beam harder.
Since the Hydra had been a Mid 4-star beast, that meant its techniques technically belonged to the 4-star realm. Leo could elevate the beam’s power by an entire level, pushing it into High 4-star territory, which was equal to his level, and the result was immediate as the crocodile’s attack was instantly overpowered.
The crocodile’s bright yellow eyes dimmed slightly, and Leo saw them sharply contract in alertness because the beast clearly hadn’t expected that level of strength from someone who was supposedly only Low 4-star.
Unable to believe what it was seeing, and perhaps thinking it had gone senile after sleeping for decades, the crocodile pumped even more power into its attack.
A big mistake.
