Chapter 370: Chapter 370: Legend Stage, Equivalent to a Demigod!
Nel’s brow furrowed, a look of surprise crossing her face. “The Time Rules here are too chaotic. My Mirror avatars can only last thirty seconds before fading.”
“My sensing range is also compressed to within fifty meters. It’s useless for scouting ahead.”
Logan gave a slight nod, not surprised in the least.
The Lost World’s chaotic rules already suppress Mirror-type abilities so heavily, let alone this Time Rift where Time Rules are completely distorted.
“No need for avatars to scout anymore. Everyone, stick close to me.” Logan said. “My Five-Spiral DNA can sense the paths of the Time Chaos. I won’t step into a dead zone.”
With that, he stepped forward first, walking deeper into the gray space.
Violet and the others trailed closely behind him, afraid to stray even an inch.
As they moved forward, the clock wreckage around them grew denser, and the Time Chaos became increasingly violent.
In some areas, time flowed at its maximum speed; a rock before their eyes crumbled to dust in just one second.
In other places, time was completely frozen, with flying debris suspended in mid-air forever.
Relying on his ultimate control over Time Rules through his Five-Spiral DNA, Logan precisely dodged every dead zone.
After a journey full of near-misses, the group finally reached the core of the Time Rift.
The space suddenly opened up before them.
Standing in front of them was a massive stone gate formed entirely of Silver Time Rules.
It was carved with ancient clock runes and emitted a terrifying pressure from a Demigod-stage existence.
The moment the four of them stepped within the gate’s range, the space ahead of them twisted.
A translucent humanoid figure, three meters tall, slowly materialized.
His entire body was made of silver Time Rules. His eye sockets held no pupils, only two rapidly spinning clock shadows.
From him, a 48-star Quasi-Demigod-stage aura was released without any concealment.
This was the gatekeeper of the Ancient Tribunal: the Keeper of Time.
He possessed no self-awareness. His voice sounded like cold metal grinding against metal, echoing through the vast emptiness.
“The trial qualification verification is about to begin.” the Keeper of Time announced.
“Rules: Within ten seconds, hit all five Time Avatars simultaneously using five different Rules.”
“These five avatars represent the Past, Present, Future, Void, and Eternity.”
“Failure means instant erasure.”
Before the words had even finished echoing, five silver avatars split away from the Keeper’s body.
Scattered across a hundred-meter radius, each avatar took on a completely different form.
The avatar representing the Past took the form of an infant, walking backward. Time around it flowed in complete reverse.
The avatar for the Present was a muscular man standing still, with time flowing exactly as it did in the outside world.
The avatar for the Future appeared as an old man with white hair, teleporting constantly. The time speed here was so fast that his trail was invisible to the naked eye.
The avatar for the Void was completely transparent, merging entirely with the space. Even Logan’s sensing could only detect a faint, blurry disturbance.
The avatar for the Eternity was completely frozen in place. Time around it had stopped entirely, turning it into an unchanging sculpture from ages ago.
Five avatars. Five completely different time states.
The challenge? Strike all five targets within ten seconds, each hit using a different rule.
For most Quasi-Demigod powerhouses, the difficulty was simply too high. They wouldn’t dare even try.
Violet, Nel, and Bobbi’s faces instantly turned serious.
They knew the truth: only Logan could pass this trial. None of them had the ability to control five rules simultaneously.
The countdown began.
The cold voice of the Keeper of Time echoed again: “Ten, nine, eight…”
Logan hesitated not a second.
He instantly dropped all his disguises, unleashing his Five-Spiral DNA to its absolute peak.
Five colors of rule-light flared around him at once.
Silver Time Rule, Golden Space Rule, Emerald Creation Rule, Black Destruction Rule, and Gray Soul Rule.
These five lights intertwined to form a perfect cycle, releasing the terrifying pressure of a 75-star Legend stage.
Even though he had temporarily dropped a stage due to overexertion earlier, the sheer depth of the Five-Spiral still made his aura far superior to any ordinary Quasi-Demigod.
The Keeper’s body trembled slightly.
It seemed he, too, hadn’t expected a Legend stage human to truly master five completely different rules at once.
The countdown continued.
“Seven, six, five…”
Logan moved.
He raised his right hand, condensing the Silver Time Rule into a blade and striking instantly.
Time Freeze!
Time within a hundred meters halted for three seconds.
The muscular avatar representing the Present was instantly frozen in place, unable to move an inch.
At the same moment, he clenched his left fist, unleashing the Golden Space Rule with full force.
Space Cut!
His figure instantly crossed the hundred-meter gap, appearing right before the old man avatar representing the Future.
Against absolute Space Rule, the target’s teleportation was completely useless.
Logan’s Space Blade locked precisely onto its body.
“Four, three, two…”
The sound of the countdown echoed like a death knell through the vast space.
Logan didn’t slow down.
Emerald Creation Rule and Black Destruction Rule surged from within him at the same time.
The two rules intertwined—one of life, one of death—creating perfect balance.
The Creation Rule filled the energy void left by the Time Chaos, completely cutting off the reversed path of the infant avatar representing the Past.
Meanwhile, the Destruction Rule exploded, smashing hard against the frozen avatar representing Eternity.
The power to shatter everything instantly tore through the time-stasis barrier surrounding the target.
Finally, the Gray Soul Rule took effect.
Countless fine soul chains shot from Logan’s forehead, piercing through the void.
Even the transparent avatar representing the Void, which had merged entirely with space, could not escape the Soul Rule’s lock.
The soul chains struck precisely at the core of the avatar.
“One!”
The moment the countdown ended, the five beams of rule-light struck the five Time Avatars simultaneously
Time froze at 9.8 seconds.
That was 0.2 seconds faster than the ten-second limit.
All five avatars shattered simultaneously, dissolving into a sky of silver light that faded into the air.
The Keeper of Time’s translucent body began to flash with light.
The cold, mechanical voice spoke again: “Five-rule verification passed.”
“Identity confirmed. You are cleared.”
Before the words fully left his lips, the massive stone gate behind him slowly swung open to both sides.
Beyond the gate stood a huge circular courtroom.
Logan and the others stepped forward, entering the hall.
“The 7th Observer is watching you,” the Keeper’s voice echoed from behind them.
“Balance of Five Rules, be wary of abnormalities.”
Logan paused and looked back.
But the Keeper’s figure had already vanished as the stone gates closed.
He turned back, his gaze fixed on the center of the courtroom.
The hall was immense.
The vaulted ceiling was carved with ancient rule runes.
Nine huge stone thrones were arranged evenly around the circular platform.
Three of them held faint human silhouettes, clearly occupied.
The remaining six thrones were empty.
Logan’s Five-Spiral DNA spun at high speed.
He clearly sensed that time here was stable at a 1:10 ratio.
Six hours in the outside world equaled sixty hours in this place.
This gave him enough time to finish his trials.
Violet stood beside Logan and tried to contact the Temple of Destruction once more.
But her royal bloodline Resonance Stone only sent back a faint, blurry signal.
The massive difference in time flow caused severe delays in communication.
Her messages would take ten times longer to reach the outside world.
She could only vaguely sense that the Blood River rebels still hadn’t launched their full assault.
Kane’s Demigod pressure was still holding the line.
Violet let out a relieved sigh; her heart finally calmed down a bit.
As long as Kane could hold on, they still had time.
Suddenly, ripples appeared in the empty space at the center of the courtroom.
A female-shaped projection slowly formed.
She was surrounded by the green light of the Creation Rule. Her presence was ethereal yet powerful, a true Demigod-stage existence.
She was the 7th Observer of the Ancient Tribunal.
The Observer’s gaze fell on Logan. Her voice was ethereal, sounding as if it came from the depths of time itself.
“Balance of Five Rules, you have passed the qualification test.”
“But to inherit the power of Rule Manifestation, you must pass the final trial.”
Logan looked at the Demigod-stage projection with a calm expression, showing no fear. “What is the trial?”
“Using your current Legend stage cultivation, you must balance the Five Rules and fight against my 36-star Rule Avatar,” the Observer said.
“The goal is to test the stability of your Five-Rule Balance.”
“If you fail, you will be classified as an abnormal rule entity and eliminated on the spot.”
Before she finished speaking, an invisible barrier shot up instantly.
Violet, Nel, and Bobbi were instantly pushed back by the barrier to the observer seats in the courtroom.
Trapped outside the barrier, they couldn’t interfere in the trial.
Violet grabbed the edge of the light screen tightly, her golden vertical pupils wide with anxiety.
She stared fixedly at Logan in the center, her hands clenched so hard her knuckles turned white.
The Resonance Stone in the center of her forehead still pulsed with faint signals from the outside world.
On one side was her Master’s life-or-death trial; on the other, the Forbidden Zone teetered on the brink of destruction.
Her heart felt like it was being torn apart by two opposing forces.
Nel and Bobbi stood by the screen as well, their faces grim as they watched the scene unfold.
They were ready to intervene at a moment’s notice, even if it meant angering an Observer of the Ancient Tribunal.
