Cheat Cultivator's Ascension - Chapter 554 - 554: Not Really A Vampire

Given that there are series of naturally occurring spatial arrays laid out at random all across the Western Continent, the travel from domain to domain isn’t something that is all too hard, with the only problem being the authority one needs to have in order not to be thrown into prisons or detentions the moment that they stepped out of those spatial arrays unannounced.
Of course, even this problem can be mitigated if one, or one’s backing, is powerful enough, hence the reason as to why the members of the Great One’s doesn’t find it all too difficult to return to their forces’ side after the grueling humiliation that just experienced at the hand of those two vampires.
Noble houses, great families, royal clans, sects, religions, practically all sorts of power populating the entire Western Continent became aware of the monster living in the north, a genius that subdues even the person known to be the strongest of the current generation, the sole heir to the throne of the absolute beings which are the dragons.
And mentioning the mythical creatures, even these prideful beings couldn’t help but talk about this genius who just came out of nowhere, the terrifying implication of a force supporting such monster making even the emperor of the dragons himself shake in worry as he came to realize something.
‘Tch, it was just that bitch Lucia and her mother at first, but it looks like there’s another one trying to take my place now…’ hearing the report from his most favored descendant, the great dragon lying on top of his treasure that serves like a throne thought to himself as he sneers, the sheer power through that single action, partnered with the hulking size of his draconic body, causing gale to surge across the room, forcing the young man kneeling in front of him to exert some strength just to hold himself up.
“Noveus… my son… you lost huh…” finally purging those annoying thoughts in his mind, the dragon emperor finally opened his eyes, that massive glass of an eyeball staring down at the young offspring making the prince feel extremely small and heavy, unable to lift his head despite wanting to, as all he can do is explain while keeping his sight trained onto the room’s golden ground.
“Y-yes r-royal father… b-because—” trembling in front of the absolute staring down at him, the prince of the dragon can barely speak of his answer, only for him to be interrupted as he heard a resounding thud, echoing across the room, a clear, consistent footstep filled with absolute confidence heard by his ears, allowing him to realize that someone is approaching closer and closer to his location.
Right now, standing with a human physique in front of the kneeling young man, the emperor of the dragons merely looks down for a second before he shakes his head, those sharp eyes being covered by its lids once again, no one knowing what thoughts those gaze holds, yet despite that, the word that came out of his mouth afterwards seems to say a part of those thoughts.
“Forget it, that is part of one’s life, boy… stand up and bounce again, a dragon might be defeated but not always, for victory and triumph will always be in our blood” the emperor said as he pats the young one’s shoulders, a simple gesture, one might think if they observe of it, but this simple gesture alone is already more than enough for Noveus to regain a little bit of that belief in himself, prompting him to nod as he clenches his teeth as he swore something not only to himself, but also to this absolute who seems to dote on him.
“I swear on my life, I shall cleanse this tarnish on our family’s reputation, royal father!!” the young heir of the dragons announced with a proud expression, receiving a nod from the old ruler as he walks out of the room, the young man clenching his fist in excitement as he follows the ruler out as well, all while thinking of something in his mind.
‘That bitch… and that bastard behind her… I’ll definitely deal with them with my own hands sooner or later’
Targets of revenge, those are what both Su Xiaotian and Liliana had become after their clash with the Great Ones, some of those forces behind the geniuses they had previously beaten up already making a move to achieve either of the two things, to teach them lesson, or to completely eliminate them.
This might be under the pretense of getting revenge for the sake of their juniors, but each of these powerful forces are well aware of the true reason why they are doing this, and that is solely for the purpose of getting rid of a potential that might bring danger to their stable position in the future.
While the entire continent is discussing about the method to deal with that uprising star and the person behind her however, those exact two people are currently enjoying their time in peace, the vampire noble, Liliana, enjoying her conversation with her old friends who seem to had grown closer over their time talking, while the person backing her, that immortal-like young man merely watching the five of them enjoying themselves with a smile on his face.
Every now and then, one of the ladies will have their gazes uncontrollably drift towards his figure, prompting him to meet their seemingly curious gaze with a welcoming smile, something that never fails to force these ladies’ gazes back to their friends.
‘He’s… really dangerous, in more ways than one’ were the thought in all of their minds as they realized that this young man has more than just his combat prowess to show for himself, something that the earl who knows of him the longest among them, Liliana, already knows of quite some time ago.
“Still, it’s really interesting, I won’t doubt it since it’s already Lucille herself that said it, so does that mean that there are other vampire progenies that no one knows of, Mister Su?” with their conversation eventually returning to the vampires, the heiress of the beastkin couldn’t help but ask as she takes another glance at the immortal-like young man, her interest being piqued more and more as she came to realize that he might be hiding far more things than she had initially assumed.
Hearing that question from Orvus, Liliana couldn’t help but take a look at her teacher, wondering how he should reply, wishing for him to clarify it altogether now as even during this little conversation among them, she barely kept his secret as it feels like these group of friends of hers just seems to be way too good with digging information out.
“Simple, that’s because I’m not really a vampire, Miss Orvus” seeing the gaze that Liliana is giving him, Su Xiaotian got some idea regarding the thoughts currently occupying her mind, prompting him to shake his head with a wry smile on his face deciding to be honest right now, as he just doesn’t see any reason not to, especially when his sole purpose for doing so is to provoke the Great Ones while still having the freedom to move around.
“What!!??”
