“Is it really that surprising?” staring at the shocked expression the ladies in the room is giving him, Su Xiaotian couldn’t help but ask, wondering what gave them such shock for a moment before he realizes the reason himself.

‘I see, it really is a powerful technique…’ recalling the description of one of the earliest techniques he had acquired, the very same technique that he utilized in order to deceive every single person he had encountered to think of him as a vampire as well.

It is only obvious what the reaction of these ladies who rarely met men in their daily lives will be the moment that they saw the immortal-like appearance hiding underneath the vampiric disguise, their eyes, fixed on his handsome face, before trailing down on the chiseled body that his loose clothing fails to hide, appearing somehow more muscular compared to when he was disguising himself as a creature of the night.

Despite already seeing him in this form before, even Liliana herself couldn’t help but lose her composure for a while as her gaze was frozen the moment she laid her eyes on him, this lasting for a few moments before she managed to forcefully shake her head to snap herself awake, forcing herself to realize once again how dangerous he is.

‘Still, was he this handsome before?’ scanning his appearance as she tries to recall how he looks like before he disguised himself as a vampire, the earl wonders in her mind, thinking that perhaps, the prolonged exposure to his disguised appearance made her feel like she is seeing his true appearance for the first time all over again.

“Ahem, as all of you can see, I am a pure-blooded human, through and through, it’s just that my family doesn’t come from this place” seeing that the ladies around him are falling into a deeper and deeper trance as time goes by, Su Xiaotian decided to take it upon himself to snap all of them awake, his words bringing them back to reality as it reaches their ears.

And as soon as they realized what they just did, their faces fail to stop getting some few shades redder than it was before, the shyness displayed upon their gorgeous faces a sight that anyone of the younger generation of the western continent would die for to look at, and yet this immortal-like young man is having the privilege to revel in such sight, all by himself, without anything in exchange.

Knowing that there are things they need to talk about with this young man, they eventually gather enough strength to compose themselves, the one who spoke first being the princess of the vampires, Lucille, asking him the very same question that everyone else wants to ask.

“Where is this family that you belong to came from, Sir Su?” already coming to know of his name from her childhood friends, Lucille made sure to speak in a respectful voice as she recalls how her friends depicted this young man, especially when the heiress of the beastkin, the elves and the dream demons talk about him with fear apparent in their eyes, she just couldn’t help but wonder how strong he is to make geniuses at the top of the continent’s ranking feel like that.

“There are things that I’d rather keep to myself, Princess Lucille” despite knowing that there’s no harm to telling them his origins, Su Xiaotian maintains secrecy regarding the topic as it is also true that there’s nothing for them or for him to gain even if he answered such question.

“Well, it’s not like I can’t tell, but let’s make it fair first, it might be rude but, how about any of you telling me the things that happened between all of you that made you all act hostile in the first place, then I’ll tell everything that you have to know about me”

Knowing full well that it is a rude request to ask someone, especially ladies, of their past, Su Xiaotian still chooses to do, causing one of the ladies to ask him, and unexpectedly, the one seemingly the most open about things seems to be the one who is the most affected by his question.

“Su Xiaotian, or whoever you are, I hold some respect for you because of your strength and because you helped one of my friends grow to such level, but there are things you shouldn’t as a lady… in the first place, why? What’s the purpose of you asking this anyways?”

Staring at him with a trace of hostility hiding underneath the calm gaze, the princess of the dream demons, Lilith, asked with a flat tone that made the atmosphere around the room quite awkward, the other ladies, especially the elven priestess, who knows all too well why this lady is acting like so, feeling troubled as she knows full well what can happen to them should they somehow get to the immortal-like figure’s bad side.

“You see, my student here seems greatly troubled because of whatever incident that caused your group to drift apart to begin with, so I want to at least know the root cause of things…” despite the bit of hostility in Lilith’s tone as she speaks, Su Xiaotian maintains the smile on his face as he explains about things, the reply snapping the dream demoness out of her hostile stance as she realized that she might be thinking far too much into things.

“I-I’m not your student though…” hearing Su Xiaotian’s explanation, Liliana couldn’t help but clarify to him in a muttered voice once again, prompting the young man to smile as he replies in kind.

“Well, say that after you’ve grown strong enough to defeat me without using my teachings” that teasing smile on his face as he said so made her feel all the more annoyed, causing her to cutely pout her mouth as she averts her gaze away from his.

“Hah… Lilith, it’s fine, it’s not like he won’t know about it if he tries to dig around” hearing his reason, Orvus sighs as she pats her friend on the shoulder, the smile on her face showing how she already decided to be the one to start telling the young man about the things that happened to them in the past.
