Endless Leveling Done Right! - Chapter 615: Alex’s Birthday [Part 1]

Chapter 615: Alex’s Birthday [Part 1]
Alex spent the next few days in a carefree manner.
His strength slowly returned. Although he had yet to make a full recovery, he believed he would be back to normal in a week or two.
Finally, the day his lovers had been waiting for had arrived.
“Happy Dim Dim to you~”
“Happy Dim Dim to you~”
“Happy Dim Dim… Happy Dim Dim…”
“Happy Dim Dim to yoooooou~”
Alex blinked as he watched the little bun blow the candles on his birthday cake while Chuck and Vaan clapped happily.
“Dim Dim!” Dim Dim puffed its body proudly, declaring there was nothing wrong with the birthday candles Chuck had prepared for Alex’s birthday.
As such, the troublemaker once again lit the candles and gave his roommate a thumbs-up.
“Okay, time for the real deal,” Chuck declared. “Are you all ready?!”
“”Yes!””
“Then let’s start!”
Dim Dim took out a little music box from its storage ring and twisted the key a couple of times.
The moment the familiar tune started playing, Alex’s friends all sang together.
“Happy birthday to you~”
“Happy birthday to you~”
“Happy birthday, Happy Birthday…”
“Happy birthday to yooooooou~”
Alex smiled before blowing on the candles. Once all the flames were put out, his friends started clapping, congratulating him once more.
“Kukuku…” Dim Dim smiled evilly as it asked Chuck to cut it a bigger cake slice.
Naturally, the young man didn’t think twice before agreeing to indulge the little bun. As soon as he passed the first slice to Alex, he cut Dim Dim’s portion—a significantly larger chunk of cake.
Lotte and Lulu had baked the delicious cake. They were delighted by how well-received it was by their friends.
Latifa and Lumi had wanted to help, but Lotte and Lulu had politely turned them down. Knowing the two of them, they would’ve created a disaster instead of a cake.
Fran and Lavinia had also helped out with the other dishes. Fran had done most of the cooking. Lavinia had assisted by washing and cutting all the ingredients.
Mary had also come to offer her assistance, greatly helping everyone in the kitchen.
Charles and Finn had barbecued some meat skewers while Chuck and Renard had been tasked to clean until everything was spick and span.
The Dryads and the Fairies were also invited, making the clock tower livelier than usual.
After everyone finished eating, Chuck brought Alex to the “Hot Seat.” The silver-haired young man was supposed to sit there and answer every question shot at him with honesty.
Of course, Chuck told Alex that he could turn down questions he found too personal.
“First question, what can you say about the party everyone prepared for you?” Chuck asked.
“It’s the best birthday party of my life,” Alex answered honestly. “I’m so happy to be here.”
His answer made his lovers smile. Their hard work felt worth it.
“Since you’re a birthday celebrant, it’s normal for you to receive gifts,” Chuck continued with a smirk. “So the question is this: If you could ask for one gift and one gift only for your birthday, what would it be and why?”
The ladies all focused on the young man, who was now deep in thought.
“The gift I want the most right now,” Alex said slowly, “is to be able to spend more time like this with everyone. I know it might not make any sense right now, but I sincerely wish moments like this can last longer.”
He knew what was about to happen during their second year. Frankly, that was the true turning point in ELO.
The first year was for the protagonist to befriend the Heroes and Heroines as well as the supporting characters.
Although they would face danger from time to time, these matters could be easily solved with the right preparation.
But during their second year, the Demon Worshipers, the Cult of Death, threats from Reverse Arcana, and many other dangerous individuals would finally make their presences known.
In fact, Alex feared they would come sooner. Perhaps it was because of the butterfly effect his existence caused, but events seemed pushed ahead of time.
Reverse Alex’s appearance was proof that he was far too weak to face the threats from Reverse Arcana. Because of this, he needed to find a way to raise his Rank as fast as possible.
Chuck patted his roommate’s shoulder while smiling faintly. He also wished that these happy days would last longer.
The ladies, especially Fran and Evangeline, felt their lips curling uncontrollably. Both of them understood what Alex meant.
No one knew what would happen tomorrow. There was a chance they would be separated from him once again. This was something the two girls didn’t want to happen another time.
“Okay next question!” Chuck smiled mischievously. “Who do you love the most?”
Alex nearly cursed out loud. Sure enough, the troublemaker had jumped straight into dangerous territory.
Just as the young man expected, the gazes of his lovers were all locked on him.
He understood this question was a trap Chuck had prepared beforehand. Clearly, he wanted to put Alex on the spot.
Fortunately, Alex had an answer ready.
“The one I love the most is of course… Dim Dim!” Alex said. The little bun was happily eating its cake, but it stopped munching after hearing Alex’s words.
The little bun blinked before smiling cutely, happy to hear that Alex loved it the most.
Chuck planned to complain, but Alex gave him the “I know what you did last weekend!” glare, which made the troublemaker hold back whatever he was going to say next.
“O-Okay, next question!” Chuck understood that if he threw Alex into hell, Alex would gladly drag him down too. “If you were stranded on a deserted island and you could only bring one person with you, who would it be?”
Alex almost coughed out blood. This question was not that different from the previous one.
Clearly, Chuck really wanted to see the world burn.
Of course, those from the peanut gallery looked quite amused with this question and answer session.
Eleanora, Francesca, Layla, Sylphy, Poppy, Dewdrop, Finn, and the Musical Fairies waited patiently to see how Alex would be able to get out of this one.
Unfortunately for them, Alex decided to use his secret weapon. Again.
“Of course I’ll bring Dim Dim with me,” Alex replied, doing his best to stop himself from beating the crap out of Chuck, who was pushing him to the limit. “Since Dim Dim can summon food and drinks, I can survive without any worries.”
“Ahem~” The little bun proudly raised its body, making Alex’s girlfriends shake their heads helplessly.
Much as they longed to hear him mention their name, they knew that had he really done that, it would have resulted in a bloodbath later.
Yes, Chuck narrowly escaped with his life after playing with fire.
Fortunately, Chuck got the hint and stopped asking questions too dangerous for Alex to answer.
The party continued, and it was now time for the gift giving.
Alex was very excited to receive the gifts from his friends and lovers, and wondered what kind of surprises they had prepared just for him.
