Chapter 1863: Troubled Night

Hotel

Magic Lord Clint walked out of the hotel room. His mood was terrible. He couldn’t sleep, even after consuming the magic treasures.

His device was buzzing. He knew the members were calling him non-stop. He knew what they wanted to do.

Since his wrongdoings were exposed, the Green Elemental Tower wouldn’t come out to support him.

Instead, they would punish him to appease the public and to save the name of the Green Elemental Tower.

He was not ready to face the punishment because he was following the orders of the higher-ups. He did his job.

Everything was going fine, but he didn’t expect Wizard Vincent to have an old trick up his sleeve. If he had paid a little attention, he would have found those media gadgets.

Clint walked along the corridor. He stopped in front of one of the rooms. It was the room of Supreme Wizard Wade. The next room belonged to Cody.

Knock!

Clint knocked on the door, but there was no response from inside.

“What’s going on?” he thought.

A terrible thought occurred to him. He used his mental power to scan the room, but it came in contact with restrictions.

The next second, he withdrew his mental power. He didn’t want to alert the staff and the hotel manager.

He had already ruined his own name.

“Humph,” he gave a cold snort.

He thought those two might have already left the place. Clint then resumed walking. He had a destination.

He quietly left the hotel. He knew city officials were guarding the Crystal Community, but he knew how to enter without alerting them.

Swoosh!

In the blink of an eye, he reached the place. He saw that all the entrances were blocked by the officials.

He lowered his presence as much as possible. He then sneaked into the place. Clint didn’t know why he had come here.

But the revenge in his heart led him here. He wanted to teach a lesson to Vincent Carey. In that way, he could get some payback.

In the blink of an eye, he reached the mansion building. But before he could get closer, he saw someone standing on the terrace.

Clint raised his eyebrows in surprise. He was standing in mid-air. He tried to see the person. He thought it could be another Magic Lord.

But he realized it was not the same old man.

Clint went to the terrace. Then he saw who was standing on top. His eyes turned red. He was angry.

At the same time, he was surprised in his heart.

He slowly landed on the terrace.

“I didn’t expect you to be awake. Are you waiting for me?” Clint asked.

He controlled his anger.

On the other hand, my eyes gleamed with a twinkle. I knew he would come, but seeing it happening, it was hard to respond.

I took a deep breath and said, “I knew you would come. I had already made some arrangements.”

Hearing that, Clint spread his mental power to look for media people. But he didn’t find anyone.

Only then did he sigh in relief. But still, he didn’t completely trust the person in front of him.

He thought Wizard Vincent might have used another trick; it was just that he didn’t know it yet. Clint continued to use his mental power.

But he didn’t find anything.

“This b@stard is a Supreme Wizard. Yet he is calm when facing a Magic Lord like me. Then there must be others hiding somewhere.”

“If I take action against him, they might appear,” Clint thought.

He had already made a fool out of himself earlier. He didn’t want to do it again.

Clint gave a look toward Vincent Carey before leaving the place. In the blink of an eye, he left the Crystal Community.

He didn’t go back to the hotel. Instead, he was going to leave Crystal City. He had wanted to try something earlier, but that plan had failed.

He didn’t expect Vincent Carey to stay awake this late at night. Fortunately, he was sharp. He didn’t fall for the trap.

I used the system function to confirm that the person was gone.

Phew!

I heaved a sigh of relief. I was worried that a fight might break out. If he had used a magic spell against me, then I would have been forced to use a magic spell.

Then both of us would have ended up receiving a punishment.

The following day, the whole Magic City was shocked. The news about Magic Lord Clint had spread like wildfire. All of them had seen the footage. Magic Lord Clint was totally exposed.

The Green Elemental Tower was waiting for Clint to return. They had received news that Clint was staying in his hotel room, but they didn’t know about the latest developments.

Clint had already made his escape. He had anticipated the response from everyone.

As time passed, people started bashing the Green Elemental Tower. All the Magic Towers are part of the Mage Union.

But there is a hierarchy among them. There are also the most favorite and least favorite ones.

The Red Magic Tower was the most favorite and also the strongest among the Magic Towers. The Black Tower is least favorite. Now, the Black Tower was not part of the drama.

Instead, the Green Elemental Tower occupied the least favorite spot. Negative talk took center stage.

Though the Mage Union is the overlord of the planet, they are not without competitors.

If outside forces knew such infighting was taking place, they would make use of the opportunity. It’s not a good thing for the Mage Union.

Though they are divided into factions, when it comes to the Mage Union as a whole, they won’t let any matter affect their standing.
