The middle-aged man died just like that. He wouldn’t have imagined his death would be like this. I shook my head.
“Old man, if you wanted to save the little girl, it’s simple. Just capture that person,” I reminded the old man again.
Hearing that, the old man turned towards me. He looked straight into my eyes. It seemed that the old man was convinced that I was not joking.
“Young man, I think you are from a special background. My offer still stands. If you are late somewhere, then I can help you reach the place faster,” the old man said.
“How so?” I asked.
Old man Barry cracked a wide grin on his face.
He said, “Have you heard about teleportation? Space Magic?”
Hearing that, my heart stirred. It’s not easy to find. Space magic is taboo magic. Those wizards are found in top forces. Don’t tell me that the old man had such connections.
But he was dressed in native clothes. I didn’t know whether to trust the old man or not. So, I used the system probe function. The system told me that the old man was not lying.
It was a huge shock to me. If what the old man said was true, then I could reach my destination sooner. But I didn’t know whether it was okay to talk about the Opal Forest.

“Alright, I’ll stay here until your descendant gets cured. But if I find anything wrong, I will leave the place,” I said to the old man.
The old man finally sighed in relief. Then we both walked back into the stone house and saw the little girl sleeping.
The old man watched the girl.
I pondered: if the old man has a way to use a teleportation facility, then what about the Mage Union? It must have the same facility as well.
They have contact with outer space species. The Mage Union is also the strongest force in the world.
I think they have such a facility, but I have failed to notice it. Maybe Manager Lara forgot about it.
“What are you thinking?” the old man asked all of a sudden.
Hearing that, I recovered my thoughts.
I said, “Don’t tell me you guys live here. There must be some other place. A village or city?”
“We are not part of any big city. We have our own little village. All of them are tribal people. But the village was attacked by the person who cast the evil magic spell on her,” the old man explained his background a little bit.
Hearing that, I understood. I had guessed that much from the old man’s native clothes.
“So, who is that person then?” I asked him.
I thought the attacker could be from the same place.
“I don’t know much. I only know that person was from the country bordering the mountain range. Many tribals live at the bottom of the mountain range. Normally, no one causes problems.”
“Because each tribal chief is a strong Forbidden Wizard. But this time they came with a team and attacked our village chief and us.”
“One of the people from the team cast an evil magic spell on my descendant,” the old man explained.
Hearing that, I tried to get the full picture. The system didn’t find any lies. My expression was serious.
If there are Forbidden Wizards in the picture, then it’s troublesome. I have to be careful.
It appeared I needed to use the help of the Zero Puppet. Before that, I had to confirm there were no Forbidden Wizards in this vicinity in the first place.

The little girl showed signs of awakening. She was gaining full consciousness. Seeing that, the old man smiled. It was the first time I had seen him smile. It was a genuine smile.

“Emily,” the old man uttered.
“So the little girl’s name is Emily,” I thought.
The little girl gained full consciousness and she started looking around. She saw a stranger along with the elder.
“What happened to my friends?” Emily started asking as she recalled the attack on the tribe.
That was the last thing she remembered. She didn’t even know she was attacked by someone. She is suffering from poisoning.
It’s the result of the evil magic spell.
“They are doing fine. It’s just that we got separated,” the old man replied.
“Is that so?” Emily said.

The next second, she felt something in her body. It was painful before she coughed up blood. Her complexion quickly turned bad.
“Emily!” The old man was terrified. He went up to her and tried to feed her healing resources.
“Don’t do anything,” I said all of a sudden.
Hearing that, the old man paused his hand. He was about to feed her. Then he recalled the young man’s treatment earlier.
He put away the magic resources. He then turned towards the young man and asked, “What to do?”
“The venom in her body was suppressed by the magic power of the black lily. It might cause discomfort to her due to the fight between the two forces.”
“So it’s normal for her to feel pain and discomfort. If you don’t want her to suffer, then we have to find the person,” I replied.
“Then we have to enter the country. It’s going to be difficult to find him,” the old man replied.
Hearing that, I frowned. The brown-haired middle-aged man seemed to be the man of the evil wizard.
He had come to abduct the girl. Surely, the person who cast the magic spell didn’t want her to die immediately.
There must be something the old man is hiding from me, or the old man himself doesn’t know about it.
Old man Barry saw that the young man fell into contemplation.
He then thought of something and asked, “Young man, I forgot to ask you. What’s your name?”
“I’m Frank,” I replied.
“Frank, it’s a nice name. Where are you from?” the old man asked.
“Well, I don’t want to talk about it,” I said.
The old man understood. He thought the young man was on his way for some matter, so he decided not to pry.
