Gravity Mage with Level-Up System - Chapter 1882: Monster Horse Carriage!

Chapter 1882: Monster Horse Carriage!
Mountain Range
“Ha… Ha… Ha….”
“You again. I stumbled across this blade here. But it was filled with evil mana.”
“I was wondering how to dispose of it,” the middle-aged man tried to come up with an excuse.
Hearing that, I smiled and asked, “Where did you get the item from?”
The middle-aged man’s eyes flickered. He was trying to defend himself, but he thought it was impossible.
The next second, he showed his true colors. His eyes flashed with a sinister glint. He cast a magic spell.
Boom!
Scorching red magic circles appeared in an instant.
Seeing that, my mouth curved into an arc.
“Gravity Surge”
I cast the instant magic spell. No magic circle appeared. The gravity surge instantly shattered the red, scorching magic circle.
The middle-aged man immediately felt terrible pressure.
Boom!
The pressure hit him hard and broke his bones. The force forced his body to lie flat on the ground.
Puckak!
He coughed up blood. The middle-aged man was terrified. He didn’t know what had happened.
Yet the terrible pressure continued to break his bones. He felt searing pain all over his body.
On the other hand, the magic spell disappeared. It was a one-time attack; it wouldn’t continue for long.
I looked at the middle-aged man. The black knife was on the ground.
Aahahhh!
The middle-aged man let out a blood-curdling scream. The pain assaulted his senses. He hadn’t had this type of injury before.
He was having a splitting headache.
“If you don’t want to experience a similar attack, then tell me the truth,” I said to the middle-aged man.
I knew he could hear me.
The middle-aged man had a trace of clarity. He heard the words. He was truly scared. He was afraid that I would kill him.
“I’ll speak!”
“I got it as a gift from the Elder,” he said.
“Elder?” I asked.
“Yes, he is from the Verdantwood Nation,” the middle-aged man said.
I raised my eyebrows in doubt.
“Don’t tell me… he is the one who attacked your tribe,” I said.
The middle-aged man was stunned. He remained silent.
But I understood it must be the truth. Why would anyone attack a tribe for no reason? There must be a reason behind it.
“So? Why did they attack the tribe?” I asked again.
“I don’t know the full details. But they were looking for someone,” the middle-aged man said.
Hearing that, I immediately thought of the little girl. The old man, Barry, had hidden something from me.
Then my gaze fell on the middle-aged man. A thought of killing him crossed my mind, then I shook my head.
I collected the black knife into the system space.
Swoosh!
The next second, I spared the middle-aged man and left the place. I was wearing a mask and hiding my strength.
So, the middle-aged man didn’t know who I was. Besides, the matter of the evil knife and the tribal village attack was complex.
I didn’t want to get involved.
Time passed.
I left the region of the mountain range and came to the border area. The actual border post was half a mile from here.
I had spotted many traveling groups going to the same place. Some were going in carriages; others were using monsters.
I spotted a few people using flying cabs, but none of them used any aircraft. It’s good that I didn’t use mine.
Otherwise, it would definitely have drawn unwanted attention towards me. Soon, I reached the actual border.
Everyone landed on the ground and proceeded on foot. Seeing that, I touched the ground and started observing people.
Obviously, I couldn’t directly enter the border. There would be a strict inspection, and I couldn’t reveal my original identity.
So, I had to sneak in. My gaze swept across the place. I was wondering whether anyone else had a similar intention.
If not a single person was here, then I should try to enter one of the carriages.
I waited and found that no one else was waiting. Everyone was walking toward the checkpoint.
No one seemed to be a newcomer here. I didn’t want to stay here longer; it would definitely cause people to raise their eyebrows.
Then my gaze fell on one of the monster-horse carriages. The owner of the brown-colored horse carriage was speaking to someone.
There seemed to be no one inside that monster-horse carriage. To confirm it, I used the system probe function.
The system results came a second later.
I sighed in relief. Then I slowly walked toward the carriage. When I got behind the carriage, I noticed the owner was not paying attention.
He was busy in discussion. If it were others, they would be exposed, but the system shielded my presence. No one could see me.
Unless they saw me with their own eyes, I was invisible. I slowly entered the carriage.
Tuk!
Because of the weight, the carriage moved slightly.
Swoosh!
The next second, I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion.
A hint of relief flashed in my eyes. That was close.
Outside,
The carriage owner felt something. He went behind the carriage to check, but he saw no one inside.
Actually, the carriage owner was there to take guests from the border area to the nearest city.
There were others who had their own transport, but there were travelers with no other means of transportation.
It didn’t take long for the old man to get his first customer. He sold a ticket for 100 mid-grade mana stones.
Slowly, the customers started coming. There were six people in total inside the carriage half an hour later.
Inside the Gregor Mansion, I watched the scene from the control room. I had thought there would be an inspection.
But these customers didn’t seem to have undergone an inspection. Then I heard their conversation, which made everything clear.
They were not outsiders. They were residents of the nearest city. They had gone to the mountain range to complete a mission.
The Granite Crest Mountain Range is vast and filled with rich resources. No wonder these people went there for a mission.
Now, I am looking forward to entering the nearest city. After gaining some clarity, I waited for the carriage to depart from the border.
