- Chapter 330 - 330: Trouble In Paradise!

Kyle began to suspect that Cleopatra was about to do something she would regret; he needed to make sure Ella was safe.
Kyle called her, but Ella didn’t pick up because she was clearly busy.
“Fucking hell. I need to find a way to keep her with Jane!” Kyle mumbled under his breath and knew he had to go home to make sure she wasn’t ignoring him intentionally.
He knew they had crossed a line, but this wasn’t the time to go silent.
If she wanted to distance herself from the situation, ghosting wasn’t the thing to do because Kyle knew this was the childish route to take.
And with the way his life was going, this was the last thing he needed.
He reached home in a matter of minutes. Kyle knew the movie’s release would help his income, so this would give him a stronger foothold in the industry and, if he could, start making movies with full rights.
He could set up a royalty paycheck for Ella by putting her song in said movie, which would grant her more exposure, depending on how well the movie does, as it would reach a wider audience.
There were so many things he planned to help her with, but at the back of his mind, he couldn’t shake off something was about to happen that would do more harm than good.
Kyle arrived home and noticed there was no one at home.
He took a deep breath and rolled his eyes in irritation, but it was something that couldn’t be helped.
However, Kyle had a smile on his face because he remembered just how good her thighs felt; it was something that sat at the back of his mind.
He soon heard a knock at the door and hoped it was Ella returning home because ultimately, the priority remained the same.
He swung the door open without a second thought and saw it was Jones.
The dejected look on his face could only mean one thing, and Kyle dared to mutter those forbidden words.
“Don’t tell me she is dead,” Kyle said.
“Wait, what? Of course not, man! Why is that you go-to!?” Jones barked at him, and Kyle had to try not to laugh in this scenario.
“Well, you look like shit. I guess black does crack,” Kyle fired back, trying his best to lighten the situation because at the end of the day.
He knew Jones was in a stressful situation, but they weren’t struggling for money, so why was he putting work above his woman?
This was one thing Kyle wanted to know because they could both quit their jobs and live out the rest of their lives comfortably.
Jones brushed him aside and could instantly perceive the scent of a woman lingering in the air.
This is what happens when you start to live with someone, even if they weren’t present all day.
“Are you good?” Kyle asked him as he closed the door.
Jone sat down on his couch, head in hands, before looking at Kyle in disbelief.
“Aiysha wants a divorce.”
–
Aiysha had spent time in the hospital recollecting her thoughts, but failed to understand why things were turning out the way they did.
Jones was neglecting her a bit too much, and this was something she didn’t like, as it didn’t make her feel seen.
The fact that it took getting her to the hospital to instill any sense of urgency in him was telling because what if he didn’t have that chance?
Life was too short to fight over trivial things, and regardless of how one fights, they shouldn’t withdraw basic care.
Aiysha knew this was becoming increasingly toxic, but she had her family to think about because he might not be the best husband.
However, this didn’t mean he wasn’t a great father, and she couldn’t make a decision that would only benefit her.
This was why the divorce came with a special condition.
If Jones doesn’t show any signs of improvement for the next 30 days, the divorce would be pushed forward, but they would still cohabitate and keep the divorce away from everyone until Clarissa is old enough.
Aiyhsa didn’t want to do this, but she had sacrificed too much to make this work.
Jones tried his best to be better, but the guilt of his past was still biting away at his conscience.
He assumed the worst in scenarios he put her in because he knew what he would do in them; it was a direct reflection of his conscience, or at least this was what Aiysha began to believe.
And Kyle had further complicated their marriages because what man is okay with another man sleeping with his woman?
She couldn’t blame Kyle for her failing marriage and had to take responsibility, but what made it all the more sickening was that she considered it.
Kyle had taken care of her and made sure she was comfortable, but he didn’t take her to the shower, even if he would have had a valid excuse.
He called a lady to help with that, and that showed respect, even though she wondered who the lady was to him.
Aiysha had met Jane, and this was also part of what helped curb her attraction towards Kyle because she would be lying if she said she didn’t find him attractive.
Aiysha lay on the hospital bed, wondering how she got herself in this mess.
–
Cleopatra knew it was time to face the threat head-on; she had offered to meet up with Marcello to see if they could broker peace.
She had the help of Isabeu, who wanted these two to talk it out; this made it possible because Marcello did listen to the sub-head families.
Cleopatra knew she would be at her most vulnerable if she went through with what had been planned. Why? Marcello was a smart man.
However, was Cleopatra interested in talking it out, or was deja vu about to repeat itself?
