Chapter 307: Get priorities straight

LOUIS POV

With my gun pointed I watched as Jasmine was forced to enter Kolton’s vehicle. I wanted to intercept but I couldn’t intervene. I couldn’t risk shooting either Tony or Jasmine.

My tongue clicked in annoyance. As I watched the doors close and the car drove off. Kolton’s men that remained behind continued to focus on us. Their weapens were still drawn.

This whole situation was a mess. We were supposed to save Tony not have her get taken as well.

If only I had been able to stop her from leaving my car earlier. We stopped Tony and Kolton and she grabbed my gun before I could do anything. I tried to stop her but she was faster than me.

I understood her urgency and worry to want to save Tony but we could have waited and tried to figure how to handle the situation. Things could have easily gone very wrong during that confrontation luckily no shots were fired.

I just got her out of one situation yesterday and now she taken again,

I just hoped she and Tony would be okay. I knew Kolton needed Jasmine and Tony so he wouldn’t act too quickly.

I looked down at the small boy we had managed to save in the squabble between Kolton and Jasmien.

“Are you okay?” I asked the smalll boy. He looked up at me and slowly nodded his head. He was Kolton’s son, Marco, I realized. He had similar features to him after all. I’m surprised Kolton made no efforts really to get Marco back. He was just abandoned him with us quite literally. Doesn’t he care for him at all?

“Get him in one of our cars,” I ordered one of my men.

“I’ll be with you shortly,” I told him I just had to do something first.

I pulled my phone out and immediately called the police. The plan initially was to find a way to enter the property hopefully without alerting Kolton to our presence. Now that that option was no longer possible it was best to just call the authorities. Once I was done informing them of the situation I then went through the list of contacts until I landed on Keith’s number.

He had called me earlier but i ignored his calls together with my fathers. I wqanted to protect Jasmine. I still do. However, unfortunately for me. He plays a big role in this whole situation involving Kolton.

“Where is my wife, you piece of shit?” Keith’s voice roared through the speakers. “You’ve been ignoring my calls.”

About as much as I expected from the man.

“Your brother’s taken Jasmine,” I kept my message short and direct.

“What!? How is that possible? ” he asked. “Where are you?”

“We’re near Kolton’s property in Redwood,” I explained.

“How are you there? What is this?” he asked sounding completely shocked. I noticed he wasn’t surprised at all by the mention of Kolton. He seemed more surprised that Jasmine and I were here.

“I’ll explain once you’re here,” I told him.

“I’m already on my way,” he told me.

So he did knew about Kolton? I wondered.

Once that awkward call was over I glanced at Kolton’s men that slowly began to retreat up the mountain. I couldn’t have my men follow them yet. Not until the cops arrived.

I turned and went to speak with Marco seated in one of my men’s cars.

“What happened why were you and Tony outside?” I then asked him.

“We escaped from the house,” he said.

My eyes widened. “You escaped?”

“Tony had a plan. We were able to leave without the guards noticing us at first. But then we got caught at some point. Then my dad came to find us and sent all his men after us,” he calmly explained.

Tony was such a smart kid. More over I was impressed that Tony got Marco to betray his father and work with him. However, given what we know about Kolton and what he did to Marco growing up. It’s not hard imagining why Marco woulfd turn against him.

“Well, Marco you’re safe now. We need to get Tony and his mother out now,” I told him.

“I hope so,” he answered.

“Oh, you’re Louis,” he said.

“You know my name?” I asked suprised.

Marco nodded his head. “Tony always talked about how he hoped his mother and you would come save him.”

My lips curved into a small smile. I was touched but also felt sad at the same time. Bright blue and red lights then got my attention and I looked up to find several police cars arrived.

“Sit tight,” I told Marco as I gave him a pat on the back and left to go speak with the officers.

I met with the officer in charge give them more details on the situation.

About 10 minutes later Keith then arrived. With my lips pressed together. This was going to be interesting. Hopefully he can focus on getting Jasmine rather than getting But I doubted that knowing the kind of person Keith was like.

KEITH’S POV

I had my drivers out as fast as the car could go. I had to get to Jasmine as quickly as possible.

I dialed my father’s number. I had to tell him we finally knew who was behind it all.

“Keith,” he answered why are you calling so early in the morning it’s only 1am.

“It’s Kolton, father he’s the one behind Anthony’s kidnapping. ”

“What? That’s ridiculous,” he said as he

“I’m sure, it’s him. We found Diana and she explained who who she had been working with and her entire plan with him, I explained.

“This is unbelievable. Where are you now?” He asked.

“Im on my way to his home in redwood with the police,” I told him.

“Im coming too. I might be a little late. Have you talked to Kolton?”

“Im about to call him,”

“For god’s sake what a mess,” he said to me.
