Chapter 306: Freeing him

JASMINE’S POV

What were Kolton, Tony and Marco all doing outside I asked myself. I thought of the men I had seen all all aroundthe area looking like they were searching for something.

My eyes fixed on Kolton who held onto the boys. Were they after the boys? Wait what were they doing outside Kolton’s property?

“Let my son go!” I demanded him as I pointed the gun at him.

“Where’s Keith?” he asked ignoring my question.

“He’s not here,” i answered.

“Don’t lie to me. If you are here then he must be near by. I heard you’ve been really close with him these past few weeks.”

I imagine it was Edward who’d been informing him of my situation with Keith. Now that Edward was arrested he had no update on what had transpired in the last two days.

“Jasmine!” I heard Louis’ voice from behind so i knew he was close behind me. I quickly glanced behind me and saw me and saw his men making their way to me

“Louis, I have him!” I informed him.

“Is that your boyfriend?” Kolton asked as a confused expression appeared on his face.

I took a quick glance behind whilst maintaining my aim on Kolton. I found Louis as well as his men behind him with guns pointed

Kolton’s men had also gathered and Louis

“How are you with him? What happened with Keith?” he asked.

Suddenly Tony stepped on Kolton’s foot. A look of shook was on my face. At this sudden turn of events.

“Ah!” Kolton yelled out as his grip loosened. Tony didn and Marco was freed.

“Run Marco!” Tony yelled out. Marco immediately bolted himself and ran towards me. In the heat of the moment I yelled after Marco and guided him to move behind me.

All of Kolton’s men pointed their guns at Marco.

“Don’t shoot or i’ll shoot shoot your boss!” I yelled. they immediately back off. Marco went I wondered why they were threatening him. He was Kolton’s son after all. Or he didn’t care because why was he chasing his own son in the first place.

“Take him Louis!” I said to him. I didn’t look back at Louis to make sure Kolton

“Got him!” I heard to Kolton who still firmly held on to Tony. Tony had risked to free Marco. He was more concerned for Marco than himself. I was touched that he was so self less in such a terrifying moment.

“Let my son go!” I demanded Kolton.

“Since you want to play games Iet me join you,” he said.

Kolton reached into his pocket and then took out an object which he pointed at Tony’s head. It was a gun .

Kolton held a gun to Tony’s head. My heart faltered at the sight of the gun. Seeing my baby being handled and treated like this was tearing me

“Kolton my men are armed and they will shoot so don’t try anything,” I warned. “let him go.”

“No Jasmine, I hold the power here,” he said. “If I blow your sons brains you’re the only one at a loss here. So drop your gun.”

I swallowed hard from his disturbing choice of words. What a disgusting human being to say that in front of a child. Then again what coukd I expect from a man who made a toddler wear contacts.

“You’re bluffing. You need my son for the ransom,” I called him out.

He smiled a flash of his white teeth showing in the dimlight. Why was he smiling?

“I’ll say once more. Drop your gun,” he said. He tightened his hold on tony as he buruied the gun deeper into his head.

“Mum! Don’t listen to him!” Tony tried to warn him.

“Quiet, you!” he snapped and covered Tony’s mouth with his hand. He turned to me. “The choice is yours Jasmine.”

Feeling like I had no choice I slowly lowered myself and made to put the gun down.

“Don’t do it Jasmine!” Louis yelled from behind me.

“I can’t risk it Louis,” I yelled back.

“Mum!” Tony called out to me. Hearing Tony’s fearful voice broke my heart. Knowing he was just a few feet away and I couldn’t help him. So much for just jumping put of the car without thinking to save him.

“Tell the rest of your men to put their guns down!” he then ordered.

I can’t do that Kolton,” I drew the line. Who knew what he was going to do? Kolton was sillent for a moment and seemed to be contemplating.

“Fine then come to me,” he said.

My eyebrows furrowed in confusion as I wondered why.

“Don’t waste my time,” he told me.

I began moving and approached him. Once i was infront of him his facisal features became much clearer.

“We’re going back to my property and you will wait there with me, together with your son,” he said. “We’ll wait for your dear husband to arrive and finally settle this.” His car that was nearby got closer.

“Get inside the car. ” he said.

I walked toward the car and he followed behind me, still holding Tony.

“You’re going to let us go back to the property and no one will follow us. If anyone shoots, you risk killing them both,” Kolton reminded Louis’s men. He was using me as a shield against Louis and his men. “When Keith gets here tell him I’m waiting for him.”

“Jasmine!” Louis called out to me again.

” Don’t do anything rash. We can work through this, I love you,” I told him. My mind was processing what was going to happen now. We now knew Kolton was the culprit there was no more running or hiding he could do. Hopefully Louis would still be closeby and I could find a way

A shiver went down my back we hadn’t told Keith about Kolton how was he supposed to know to come here. My plan had completely backfired.

On the brightside atleast Marco was safe. I got in the car and Kolton got in afyer and sat beside me. He clossed the door and locked them. The car then drove off.

“Mum you’re here!” Tony said excitedly as moved in the seated and hugged me.

“Tony!” I said excitedly and hugged him back.

“I knew you would come for me,” he said excitedly. “I’m so happy.”

“Of course I did. I missed you so much,” i told him. It felt so good to hold him. It had been so long. The past four weeks had been so torturous they felt like years to me.

“Don’t celebrate just yet, are you forgettung the situation you’re in?” Kolton said as he pointed the gun at us.

Tony and I broke apart and fell silent.

“Good,” Kolton said. “I don’t know what weird love triangle is going on among the three of you, but one thing I do know is that Keith is obsessed with you. He can barely form a thought without you. If you’re here then I’m sure he knows and is on his way.”

My face formed into a frown. I recalled that it was Kolton who had answered Keith’s call that day he kidnapped Tony. He was the reason Keith found me first and I got separated from Louis.

After a few minutes the car arrived at his property and entered through the gates. I held onto Tony caressing him.

My jaw tightened at the sight. I already knew Jasmine had escaped with his help and expected her to be here but it just hurt for it to be confirmed like this. I held her the day the day before. I kissed her! It just confirmed that Jasmine really had lied to me. She had me fooled. My hand formed into a fist.

As I continued to watch the footage it showed her and the Carrington leaving the apartment building through the garage about two hours later. About half an hour before I arrived. If I had been earlier I could have bumped into them. I felt annoyed by this.

So she had left the building. My eyes furrowed in confusion as I wondered where on earth she was going now.

“Any idea where they could have gone?” I tried asking the manager who was standing next to me. I already knew what the answer would be.

“Uh, no sir. We have no idea,” he told me.

I thanked the manager for the footage and told him I would leave. I also told him to inform me if they returned.
