MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith - Chapter 1785 1785: The List of Gains (2)

“Well that answers our question.”
Looking at the names of the first two titles he obtained after [God Amongst Mortals], Valyr faintly nodded in understanding as he gave his other self a knowing look.
“As long as we deal damage that goes past the requirement for [God Amongst Mortals], the titles we obtain after that would be entirely unique to us,” he said, only to let out a sigh soon after.
“Then again, I still don’t know why the titles I got focus on me being an anomaly.”
Although he had a couple of ideas in his mind as to how the Administrators had gotten to that conclusion, the young man decided to keep it to himself for now.
After all, he had yet to look through the titles themselves.
“Well, now that I’ve gone through all of my notifications, should I go through each title’s description or should we look through your notifications first?”
Closing the screen he brought up as he simultaneously stopped sharing his sense of sight with Ataraxia, Valyr looked at the latter as he asked him a question.
“Hmm…” In response, Ataraxia went silent for a bit as he furrowed his brows.
“On one hand, I’m quite curious as to what kind of effects each of the titles have,” he said after some time. “On the other hand, I’m also curious as to why I received notifications from the system after you killed the Giant Blazeworm King.”
“…”
“…I’ve made up my mind.”
Going silent once more after saying his piece, Ataraxia eventually looked at his other self with a calm yet firm expression.
Ding!
Showing his final decision through his actions, the young man went ahead and brought up his notification screen in front of him, only to then share it with his other self through [Soul Entanglement].
Realizing that Ataraxia had actually made the decision to first look through the notifications he received before going through the titles’ descriptions, Valyr’s eyes briefly widened in surprise before eventually settling down to the calm he previously had.
Though, not long after, that calm took on a hint of curiosity.
‘I wonder why the system notified him after my kill?’
As this question popped up in his mind, the latter went ahead and read through the new set of notifications Ataraxia had obtained from the system.
Yet, by the time he was done, he could not help but look at his other self in confusion, only for the other side to do the same thing not long after.
[Your record has been surpassed by another mortal.]
[Throughout the entire universe, you now rank 2nd in the list of mortals that have dealt an absurdly high amount of damage.]
[Because of this, your title ‘True Pinnacle of Extreme Mortal Destruction’ has been changed to ‘Penultimate Height of Extreme Mortal Destruction’.]
“…Huh.”
Though the words that made up the notifications were entirely coherent, both Valyr and Ataraxia could not help but read through each one a couple more times before they finally understood what the notifications contained.
“Wait…” Closing his notification screen after that, Ataraxia looked down at the ground for a bit before asking his other self a question. “The title’s actually based on maximum damage dealt?”
“Seems like it.” Valyr could only nod in response. “However, we’ll only be able to confirm whether that’s true or not after we take a look at the titles themselves.”
At those words, the young man went ahead and brought up the description of [True Pinnacle of Extreme Mortal Destruction] in front of him.
Ding!

“Well, that confirms it.”
Closing the screen he brought up, Valyr looked at his other self before shrugging his shoulders.
“The title’s based on maximum damage dealt,” said the young man as a response to the latter’s earlier question.
“Already understood that the moment I saw the damage you dealt on the title itself,” said Ataraxia in return, only to let out a faint sigh soon after.
“So, that’s why I felt like my strength wasn’t as high as it was when I recovered from my skill’s aftereffects,” he murmured, faintly shaking his head at the thought. “With how I’ve only had the title for two days before losing it, I can’t help but feel like I didn’t even own the title in the first place.”
Closing his eyes after that, the young man spent some time regaining his composure, reminding himself that Valyr obtaining the title would just make them stronger overall.
By the time he opened his eyes once more, Ataraxia let out a soft exhale before asking the system to bring up the description of his recently obtained title.
Ding!
