My Online Girlfriend Has a Twin Sister - Chapter 396 - 257: Senior Lu Yiyi

Chen Yuan had always been somewhat well-known at Lanjing University, though he himself was unaware. There was even a group chat about him at the school, filled entirely with female students. They would privately share many photos of Chen Yuan, but their activities were strictly kept under wraps.
Some would use his pictures for their profile avatars on social media; others would even photoshop a picture of him and lie to their high school friends that he was their boyfriend. It sounded absurd, but it was true.
Most of these girls were deep in stan culture. Besides Chen Yuan, they also stanned many “idols” from the entertainment industry. They would frequently storm a celebrity’s Super Topic page on Weibo or get into flame wars with rival fanbases. This had become a part of their lives; everyone has their own little world, after all. There were many behaviors ordinary people couldn’t understand, and being attracted purely to looks or getting into fan circles were common for both men and women.
The thing that made these girls happiest was discovering handsome guys. Simply looking at someone good-looking could brighten their mood.
That “attractiveness rating” thread in the school’s discussion forum from before—that was their handiwork.
Many students from the Lanjing Academy of Fine Arts also frequented the discussion forum. Unfortunately, they had never seen Chen Yuan from the main campus in person. Coincidentally, as the tricycle had just passed by, a few of those girls recognized his face.
’Isn’t this like walking right into a trap?’
Whispering among themselves, the girls scurried over with quick, short steps.
“No way. Are some seniors actually going to hit on us? Or are they from the student disciplinary committee, here to stop us from going in?” Liu Nan asked, turning his head in confusion.
“I doubt they’re hitting on us. Why do I hear someone shouting for our boy, Yuan?” Quan Yafeng heard it clearly and frowned.
“Damn, I hear it too. They’re really coming for Yuan.”
“Building B3. Let’s go, quick. We have a job to do, we can’t get tied up,” Chen Yuan said, hastily lowering his head. ’I have a very bad feeling about this.’
His premonition was correct. This group of seniors was much fiercer and less shy than the girls on the main campus. If they caught him, they would, at the very least, each demand his contact info before dragging him to a classroom for an “interrogation”! By the time he got out, it would probably be dark.
Liu Nan got the signal, twisted the tricycle’s throttle, and sped away with his buddies. After a series of random turns and a detour, he turned on the GPS and finally made it to Building B3.
But when they got there and hopped off, they looked around and saw no one waiting. The only people coming and going were students heading to the cafeteria after class.
“Where is she? Didn’t you say a senior would be waiting?”
“Let me ask.” Chen Yuan took out his phone and sent a message to Liu Tingyue. A few seconds later, his phone chimed—DING DONG—and a Green Bubble contact card was sent to him.
The profile picture was cute, seemingly a video game character, but Chen Yuan didn’t recognize it.
After adding her and waiting a moment for her to accept, he called her directly.
“Hello, this is Chen Yuan from the Arts Department. Minister Liu asked me to pick something up. I’m at the entrance to the academic building now, but I don’t see you, senior?”
“Huh?” The girl on the other end of the line was stunned for a moment before she suddenly understood. “Oh! You’re here already? What a coincidence, I just got to the supermarket and you show up! Hang on, junior, I’ll rush over at top speed!”
Unexpectedly, the girl’s voice was exceptionally light and airy, as unique as musical notes dancing from a piano.
Chen Yuan raised an eyebrow slightly and gave a short “Mm,” but as the senior on the other end rambled on with her explanation, he didn’t quite catch what she was saying. He’d zoned out.
The call ended.
“What’d she say?” Liu Nan asked.
“Said she’s on her way.” Chen Yuan brushed some dust off the steps and plopped down casually.
The buddies either sat or stood, but their gazes were all surprisingly in sync. They were all keenly checking out the girls passing by.
Male students were like endangered species in this college; it was a rare sight to see even two or three of them together.
How blissful it must be to live and study at this college. Just from a purely aesthetic point of view, they felt they could sit there until evening. In just ten-odd minutes, five or six girls with amazing figures, faces, and auras had walked past, either hugging their textbooks or playing on their phones.
Liu Nan saw one, and his eyes lit up. He whispered to Chen Yuan and the others, “I like that one.”
A few seconds later, another girl in a long dress came by, and he sighed again, “I like this one, too.”
“That one over…”
“Oh, come on. You like every single one you see. When are you going to work up the courage to ask for her number? What’s the point of just looking?”
“Not so. A gentleman has his principles. One may admire from afar, but must not harbor any lewd intentions.”
“If you’re a coward, just say so. What’s with all that classical gibberish?”
They all looked down on Liu Nan’s “all talk, no action” personality. Despite their criticism, he didn’t get angry. He just rested his chin on his hands and cheerfully looked left and right, the perfect embodiment of the term “girl-crazy.”
An unknown amount of time passed as the guys shot the breeze, nearly forgetting their official business.
Just then, a girl in a floral dress and canvas sneakers approached with a light gait from the east side of the building. Her proportions were excellent, with particularly long legs and a waist cinched by a sash. A waterfall of long hair cascaded over her shoulders, giving her the aura of a friendly girl-next-door.
The girl was carrying two bags in each hand. One held bread, but it was hard to make out the contents of the other pink one.
Her steps were as nimble as a fawn’s. She easily stood out from the crowd of passing girls, her presence captivating at a single glance.
“Juniors, were you sent by Minister Liu to pick up the exhibition pieces?”
“Yes,” Chen Yuan said, standing up politely. “Lu Yiyi?”
“Hello, hello.” The girl, Lu Yiyi, smiled brightly, her expression as radiant as the sun. Without any hesitation, she extended a fair hand and shook Chen Yuan’s. “The exhibition pieces are in the old building behind our athletic field. If we’re going to get them, we should head out now.”
“Alright.”
Chen Yuan and his buddies got on the tricycle and turned on the power. Beside them, Lu Yiyi was a little dumbfounded, staring in shock at how casually they had climbed aboard.
“You guys… actually brought a vehicle?”
“Yeah, it’s more convenient this way.”
“True. It’s a hassle going back and forth, and riding this is definitely faster than running.”
“Well, aren’t you getting on, senior?” Liu Nan asked, confused. He pointed to the cargo bed in the back. “We can go together. You still have to show us the way. There’s room.”
“Me?” Lu Yiyi looked at the guys perched on the rails of the cargo bed and suddenly became bashful. “I don’t know… That’s not very ladylike. Besides, I’m wearing a dress.”
“A dress would be a bit inconvenient. So how do you want to get there? Should we drive slowly and let you follow behind?”
“That sounds like a hassle too,” Lu Yiyi said, pondering for a moment. “How about… I drive?”
“Huh? You know how to drive this?”
The buddies exchanged baffled looks.
…
“Nothing can stop~”
“My yearning for freedom~”
A moment later, the music blared again. Lu Yiyi gripped the throttle, and the tricycle shot down the main road of the Landa University Art College like a tiger unleashed from its cage. Accelerating, drifting, cornering, and braking hard—she didn’t just know how to drive; she was turning the tricycle into a race car.
The three guys in the back felt like they were in constant danger of being thrown off.
Their hearts were in their throats.
“Crank up the music! It’s not loud enough!” Lu Yiyi roared.
“It’s already at max volume!” Chen Yuan answered, breaking out in a cold sweat.
“Hold on tight! I’m speeding up! Students up ahead, get out of the way! I won’t pay if I hit you!”
Lu Yiyi frantically honked the horn, the very picture of wildness. Her dress fluttered in the wind as she pushed the tricycle to its absolute top speed.
Liu Nan, his face pale, muttered under his breath, “Didn’t she just say she was worried about not being ladylike? I don’t think she has a single ladylike bone in her body.”
