Necromancer Of The Shadows - Chapter 1357: Another Progenitor

Chapter 1357: Another Progenitor
When Evan and the others reached the battlefield near the boundless ocean, they saw that the current battle was being fought by individuals of rank two and below.
Hovering high above the battlefield, Evan pulled Sylvan and Ashley into the void space and let Ashley use her space manipulation abilities to completely isolate them—so thoroughly that even a rank six Core Evolver wouldn’t be able to detect them easily.
“I think we should wait until a major battle breaks out. Interfering in the skirmishes of these small fry won’t benefit us in any way,” Sylvan said as he observed the ongoing clash below.
Evan and Ashley nodded in agreement with Sylvan’s words and turned their attention to the camps of both armies.
The demons outnumbered the dragons, but due to the support of the vampires, the balance between the two sides was evenly maintained.
In the main camp of the demons, the strongest individual was a mid-level rank five Core Evolver, and the same was true for the dragons, who also had a rank five Core Evolver in command.
For now, both sides had only dispatched fighters of rank two and below, clearly trying to avoid initiating a larger conflict.
“If we secretly kill one of the high-ranking individuals from one of the camps, we could spark a larger war. Each side would likely assume the other had assassinated their comrade,” Ashley suddenly suggested, a serious expression on her face.
Hearing her words, Evan’s eyes lit up while Sylvan looked horrified.
’It’s over… Even my innocent granddaughter has been corrupted by spending time with these lunatics,’ The old man thought with a defeated expression.
“Good idea. Who do you think we should target?” Evan asked, clearly interested in the plan.
“Let’s go with the dragons. They are too prideful for their own good. If one of them is assassinated, they’ll surely retaliate, believing it would be a disgrace not to avenge their fallen comrade.”
Evan nodded at Ashley’s reasoning and turned his gaze toward the dragon camp, his eyes narrowing in thought.
As he was deciding on a target, he suddenly frowned and looked down at the battlefield.
His gaze settled on one of the individuals fighting for the demons, and his eyes narrowed even further.
“Why does her aura feel familiar?” He muttered, watching the woman cut down dragons one after another.
Because of her mastery over space-element skills, no one could catch her.
’Wait a second… Space element?’ Evan suddenly recalled Natasha, the leader of the Dark Guild from the Arora World.
He had wiped out most of the Dark Guild back then, but a few of the higher-ranking members had managed to escape using the Tower of Ascension before he could kill them.
Natasha was one of them.
“To think I’d run into an old friend here…” Evan murmured softly, rubbing his chin.
At his current level, he didn’t consider someone like Natasha much of a threat. But seeing her fighting alongside the demons, he figured she might have valuable information he could use to his advantage.
“Ashley, can you bring that woman over here?”
Ashley glanced at the woman Evan was pointing at and nodded without hesitation. She didn’t even bother to ask why he wanted her captured.
“We’ll need to exit the void space first. If I try to bring her in here, it will cause spatial fluctuations, and the rank five Core Evolvers might detect it.”
Evan nodded and exited the void space along with Ashley and Sylvan.
At the same time, Ashley used her space powers to teleport them away from the battlefield—taking Natasha with them.
Natasha was about to teleport behind another dragon to kill him when she suddenly lost control over the space element. By the time she regained her senses, she found herself standing in front of three strangers.
“It’s been a while, Natasha. Are you trying to build a dark organization in Utopia now?” One of them asked casually.
The man had shoulder-length hair tied in a ponytail, sharp, elven-like ears, and an aura that closely resembled that of a demon.
When Natasha heard his words, her eyes widened in shock and she instinctively stepped back, her body tense and full of wariness.
“Who are you?” She asked suspiciously.
Evan smiled at her reaction, completely understanding that she didn’t recognize him as he had changed quite a bit since their last encounter in the Arora World.
“You might not recognize me, but I’m sure you haven’t forgotten these guys,” He said as he summoned a few of his shadow undeads.
The moment Natasha saw the shadow undeads, memories of the monster who had forced her to flee Arora World resurfaced, and her blood ran cold.
“You…” She whispered in a trembling voice and tried to flee.
But when her eyes met Evan’s, her body froze and she couldn’t even lift a finger.
’How can he be so powerful now? It hasn’t even been that long since he came to Utopia…’
Evan slowly walked toward Natasha and leaned in close.
“You know,” He said, gently lifting her chin with a smile, “With my current strength, I don’t even need to lift a finger to kill you. So, my dear… I’d appreciate it if you cooperated with me.”
Before Natasha could respond, Ashley cut in.
“Why don’t you just turn her into a shadow undead too? I don’t know what your history with her is, but it doesn’t look like you’re on friendly terms. If she becomes a shadow undead, she’ll have no choice but to cooperate.”
Sylvan looked at Ashley with hollow eyes, silently mourning the loss of his kind and gentle granddaughter—who now talked about killing people without batting an eye.
’I knew it… I should never have let her hang out with this bastard and that mentally unstable shadow dragon…’
Natasha’s face turned pale with horror upon hearing Ashley’s words, and she quickly shouted—
Evan expected her to plead for her life or explain why she was too valuable to kill.
However, the words that came out of her mouth stunned all three of them.
“No, please don’t kill me! I’m actually the Progenitor of the Void Beasts! If you kill me, I won’t be nearly as useful to you as I can be alive!”
