Necromancer Of The Shadows - Chapter 1368: Desperate (Part 1)

Chapter 1368: Desperate (Part 1)
Turoon stared at the crimson pupil above him in horror, his entire body trembling uncontrollably.
“Y-You… How is this possible?!” He shouted in a voice filled with terror, thinking he must be hallucinating.
Turoon had witnessed Azroth use the Gaze of the Monarch once in the distant past.
Even though it had been long ago, and the killing intent emanating from the crimson pupil now was far weaker than what he remembered, he was absolutely certain that this was the same ability Azroth had used back then.
Suddenly, something clicked in Turoon’s mind, and his face turned even paler.
’The destruction of Fire Dragon Island some time ago… Could it be…’
As he thought about this, he remembered Anastasia, who had always been by Azroth’s side and his breathing grew rapid and uneven.
When Fire Dragon Island had been destroyed, Turoon had clearly felt that the power responsible carried an overwhelming suppressive effect against dragons.
Even he, a peak Rank Five dragon, had been unable to muster the strength to resist that force and could only watch helplessly as the island was reduced to ruin.
At the time, including Turoon himself, all the dragons had believed that the culprit had used some kind of powerful artifact with a suppressive effect specifically targeting dragonkind, rendering them incapable of resisting.
After all, even Eldraker, the current ruler of Dragon Island, with his exceptionally pure dragon bloodline, could not suppress all dragons to that extent.
But if it had been Anastasia who made the move, then surpassing every dragon present in Utopia would have been effortless for her.
She was, after all, the Progenitor of the Shadow Dragons. Her dragon bloodline stood at the absolute pinnacle, naturally suppressing all other dragon bloodlines.
As these thoughts resurfaced, all the color drained from Turoon’s face.
’If she destroyed Fire Dragon Island… does that mean she wants revenge for what happened back then?’
The more Turoon thought about it, the more terrified he became.
Facing Azroth, he still retained a faint glimmer of hope, that if all dragons united, they might somehow stand against him.
But against Anastasia, whose bloodline held an inherent suppressive effect over dragon kind, even if every dragon in Utopia joined forces, they would stand no chance.
’Moreover… her strength is far greater now than it was in the past.’
Recalling the overwhelming terror he had felt during the destruction of Fire Dragon Island, Turoon’s legs gave out beneath him, and he collapsed to the ground powerlessly.
Molar noticed Turoon’s rapidly shifting expressions. Although he did not know what thoughts were racing through the dragon’s mind, he could sense that the situation was extremely dire.
Without paying further attention to Turoon’s state, Molar immediately launched an attack toward Evan.
Although the killing intent radiating from the crimson pupil nearly paralyzed him, as a Rank Five core evolver, it was impossible for him to simply stand still and wait for death.
Furthermore, terrifying as Evan appeared, his aura still belonged to a low-level Rank Four core evolver, not even a peak Rank Four.
Thus, although Molar sensed that Evan was far from simple, he refused to believe he could not defeat him.
Suddenly, a malevolent demonic aura erupted from Molar’s body, forcefully breaking free from the suppressive effects of both Gaze of the Monarch and Event Horizon.
In an instant, he appeared right before Evan as if teleporting.
The power of law revolved around his claw-like hand as he punched directly toward Evan’s face.
Evan’s expression remained unchanged despite the sudden assault.
Just when Molar believed his strike would land, his expression shifted drastically as Evan vanished from his sight without the slightest fluctuation, and what frightened him even more was that he could not perceive how it had happened.
“It’s useless,” Evan’s calm voice echoed from behind him.
Molar spun around instantly, only to see Evan standing several hundred meters away.
“In my Shadow World, I am the ruler. No matter what you do, you cannot touch me.”
As Evan spoke, the entire Shadow World began to churn like a living organism.
Molar frowned and narrowed his eyes.
’A skill that isolates external laws and grants him absolute control over this domain…’ He muttered inwardly and attacked again and again.
Yet, every single time his strike was about to land, Evan would shift away effortlessly, beyond his reach. Molar could neither predict nor intercept his movements.
After multiple failed attempts, Molar finally stopped and glared at Evan with eyes full of fury, deeply frustrated at being toyed with by a Rank Four core evolver.
“If you want to play like this, then let’s see who truly has absolute control over this domain!” He roared and in the next instant, an overwhelming surge of law power erupted from his body as he unfolded his Destroyed World, the mark of a Rank Five core evolver.
To ascend to Rank Five, a core evolver must shatter their Law Seal and merge it with their Illusionary World.
Once fused, the Illusionary World transforms into a Destroyed World governed by chaotic laws.
A Rank Five core evolver must then gradually correct and refine those chaotic laws, evolving the Destroyed World into a complete and perfect Real World. Only then can they break through to Rank Six.
As a peak Rank Five core evolver, Molar’s Destroyed World was already on the verge of perfection, just a single step away from becoming a true Real World.
A world entirely under his control.
The moment Molar’s Destroyed World unfolded, the Shadow World trembled violently. Cracks began spreading across its structure as its boundaries slowly crumbled.
After all, no matter how powerful Shadow World was, it remained a domain created through a skill, not a genuine world.
It was only natural that it could not withstand the pressure of a Destroyed World that was nearing perfection.
Evan remained calm upon seeing this as he had already anticipated that his Shadow World would not endure the pressure of a Rank Five core evolver’s Destroyed World for long.
Just as he was about to make his next move, he suddenly paused and a flicker of surprise appeared in his eyes.
Rip.
The sound of flesh being torn apart echoed across the collapsing Shadow World and Molar’s body stiffened.
Slowly, he lowered his gaze and saw a dragon claw protruding from his chest, having pierced straight through his heart from behind.
