The Faekin did not know when the Primordial Beast Nidhogg managed to awaken because its movements were not noticed even by the Great Mother Tree. In fact, Alfheim experienced such a frightening tremor when the Primordial Beast Nidhogg attacked the Great Mother Tree for the first time in a long time. Even the Great Mother Tree was unable to defend herself as she lost a tenth of her elemental power with that sneak attack.

The Great Mother Tree only exercised most of its power at that time to force the Primordial Beast Nidhogg into a state of sleep. The only problem is that the Great Mother Tree cannot force the Primordial Beast Nidhogg to sleep again for a long time. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg awakened after a few days but the Great Mother Tree managed to prepare this time.

The only problem is that the Great Mother Tree felt the difference in the power between her and the Primordial Beast Nidhogg. She knows that the Primordial Beast Nidhogg would not have been able to become a High God Beast by just sleeping and chewing on her roots. She suspected that another party was involved in increasing the power of the Primordial Beast Nidhogg.

The Great Mother Tree then remembered that the Aesir Gods stole something from her back then. It was a special artifact created by the Asmodians that suppresses the power of the Primordial Beast Nidhogg. She knew that the Aesir Gods would use that artifact to try and control the Primordial Beast Nidhogg, but they could not do so because the world fractured.

The Great Mother Tree then remembered that Levin Cloud told her that the Aesir Gods have all fallen. They were all killed because of their own schemes and that people from the main world banded together to fight them. The Great Mother Tree knew that the Aesir Gods should have a stash of treasure in their castle but Levin Cloud never mentioned that there were artifacts excavated from the ruins.

The Great Mother Tree could only speculate that there was another force that influenced the Aesir Gods. A force powerful enough to actually have the ability to pierce through dimensions and even steal artifacts from the eyes of a God King. As soon as the Primordial Beast Nidhogg awakened, the battles between the two have already intensified.

The battle between the Primordial Beast Nidhogg and the Great Mother Tree would happen a few times in the day. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg did not push the Great Mother Tree severely as it became strategic compared to the beast that is only driven by hunger. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg is now incredibly intelligent to weakened the Great Mother Tree first before going in for the kill.

This is the reason why the Primordial Beast Nidhogg and the Great Mother Tree would only fight a few times in the day. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg will navigate the underground world as it has the ability to easily phase through even hard stone. The elements are nothing against the Primordial Beast Nidhogg as it is immune to them.

The Great Mother Tree did not like the sudden change of mentality that the Primordial Beast Nidhogg has. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg will not deal a lethal blow but would strategically target parts of her roots that are difficult to respond to. The Primordial Beast Nidhogg has already devoured 30% of the roots of the Great Mother Tree. The Great Mother Tree already accepted its fate which is why she told every living being in Alfheim to escape to the main world.

“If the Great Mother Tree dies, the future of the elemental race will die with her. She is the only living Tree of Life that can produce the power to create Elemental Kings.” The Elemental King of Light stated.

“There will be no more elementals being created for the time being. The main world has a Tree of Life but it is still a few years old. As long as the Elementals are fine with forty plus years of no one getting born, there will be no problem for your race. All of you just need patience for new addition to your family.” The Fairy King stated which made all of the Elemental King angry once again.

The Elemental Kings are very fond of the elementals below them because they are the ones maintaining the elemental affinity of the world. Even though elementals are free spirits, they will rain down terror to those that dare to mess with their kind. The elemental kings have no problem is there are contracts with other beings. What they cannot stomach are those that toy with the lives of elementals.

Elementals are free beings that should live the life they want and choose what they want. They may be bound to contracts with mortals but even that is only a small portion of their lives. Elementals have no definite lifespan because they are beings of energy. In fact, even if an elemental uses and burns up all of their elemental energy, the elemental kings will have no problem as long as that is the choice of the elementals.

What the Elemental Race hates more is the fact that they are being restricted with no choice whatsoever. This is also the reason why they are hating on the situation right now because they are not being given a choice. They are all being told to leave without any questions asked but they also know that they cannot help the Great Mother Tree.

The Primordial Beast Nidhogg devours elemental energy as a source of nutrients. If the elementals were to fight against it, they would just be giving the Primordial Beast Nidhogg a source of food that can power it up. They do not want to admit it but the Elemental Race cannot do anything for the Great Mother Tree even though she is the one that have birth to them.

“Is there really no other way?” The Elemental King of Darkness asked with a downhearted tone.
