Chapter 2857: The Monkey I
The Wudang Immortals were quite perplexed with what Adrian is asking of them. They saw him pointing at the coiling dragon statue in the center of a pond. The coiling dragon statue has been there since the foundation of the sect as it is said to have been done by the sect founder.
The Wudang Immortals are confused because the coiling dragon statue is not special. If it really was special then the Immortals or even just the normal practitioners would feel some sort of qi on it. A special stone statue in the eastern continent usually gives off an aura that either helps in cultivation or curses people. There is nothing of the sort that is happening in the coiling dragon statue which is why they did not know why the Heavenly Demon wants it.
“Do not worry because I do not want the statue itself. I only need something that is inside of it. May I come down?” Adrian stated as he looked at the most powerful Wudang Immortal that greeted him.
“Of course, the Heavenly Demon is always a guest at our sect. We shall lead the way.” The Wudang Sect Leader stated.
“No need to descend. I shall transport all of us without fail.” Adrian stated as he snapped his fingers and all of them vanished from the sky above the sect.
The next thing that the Wudang Immortals knew is that they were now hovering above the pond with their flying swords. All of them are shocked as no one was even able to resist the sudden teleportation. Some even gained some insight on how spatial traversal works because there are techniques in the Taoist Martial Manuals that refer to a sword cutting space.
“I hope that I did not surprise all of you by suddenly shifting everyone here. Please think of it as a little prank on my end and I apologize if I offended you.” Adrian stated with a casual smile but this is his gift to the Wudang Immortals for indulging his whims.
Adrian did not come to this place empty handed or without information. He already contacted Peridot in advance to ask about the place that the coordinates are in. He already learned in advance that it is the Wudang Sect and that they have a secret martial manual called the Void Sword God which is basically a sword that can cut even space.
Adrian then asked Aernas about the Void Sword God manual and the latter actually knew. It seems that a Noblesse back then was incredibly hurt and was nursed to health by the Taoist priests. Those Taoist Priests were also warriors that hunted down monsters and the Noblesse taught them this sword technique as a way to pay them back. The Noblesse basically condensed his teachings so that the Taoist Priests could learn them despite not being demons.
The Taoist Priests managed to learn the special sword manual that the Noblesse taught as they were in tune with nature and its frequencies as part of their training. Once the Noblesse has seen that the Taoist Priests have already completed to learn everything, it was then the birth of what they now call the Wudang Sect. Of course, like other sects that happened before the eastern continent became chaotic, most of the elders that know the Void Sword God perished.
Due to the sudden passing of the elders of each sect during the chaotic era, all of the sects decreased in strength which also hit the Wudang Sect the most. The Void Sword God manual cannot be taught by the grandmasters as it is a technique that can only be learned by Wudang due to their cultivation. Thankfully, some disciples were talented and managed to use at least 60% of the Void Sword God manual which made the Wudang Sect increase in strength.
The current Sect Leader of the Wudang Sect is one of the Immortals that were blessed as he managed to do 65% of the moves in the manual. He could be said as a hidden powerful swords master in the eastern continent but an incomplete manual cannot be used to kill powerful divine beings like gods. Still, the Wudang Sect is still one of the most righteous of the sects in the eastern continent which is why Adrian is abrasive to the fact that they need enlightenment.
Enlightenment is a term often used by those that use cultivation as the mind must always be connected to the body. It is also a term used when a master or even a normal martial artist grasps something that could aid in their cultivation. The prank that Adrian played is not really a prank but an elaborate way to help the most powerful of the Wudang Sect to gain enlightenment.
Adrian could see it in their eyes that they have grasped something when he forcibly teleported them. The eyes of those truly talented could be seen to have shined as they gained something from a simple gesture. Adrian could basically tell that this might have been the training that the Noblesse used when he taught the Void Sword God. One needs to teleport or get influenced by spatial phenomena if they want to learn more about the concept of space.
“We thank the bene…” The Wudang Immortals stated as they were about to bow but Adrian cut them off.
“It is merely a prank. Do not think too much of it.” Adrian stated as he did not want to the Wudang Sect to be indebted to him as that is what he is exchanging for the thing in the coiling dragon statue.
“Ah! If that is the case, we really liked the prank that the Heavenly Demon did. As a token of goodwill since we enjoyed the prank, please take what you need from the coiling dragon statue.” The Wudang Sect Leader stated as he knew the intentions behind what Adrian is hinting at.
“Since that is the case, I will proceed with the thing that I want to take.” Adrian stated as he smiled as his horns suddenly blazed in this dark purple starlight flames because he used his abilities as a Kaos.
The coiling dragon statue that is in the pond suddenly got separated from the ground. The water in the pond suddenly rose but froze in the air as it is frozen in time. Adrian then proceeded to use more of his chaos energy to dismantle the coiling dragon statue until all of it became debris. All of the Wudang Sect disciples and elders were amazed with what is happening because the control and power being used is already in the realm of gods or even more.
Adrian could not see what was emitting the scent of the soul fragment which is why he turned the debris into dust. Only when the entire coiling dragon statue has become dust did a golden strand of hair became visible to Adrian. He also learned that the stone that the coiling dragon statue had has special properties which can conceal aura.
“I finally found it.” Adrian stated as the aura from the golden strand of hair is definitely a soul fragment carrying the divine spark of the Monkey King.
Just as Adrian is about to grab the golden strand of hair, the strand suddenly turned into a golden monkey that launched itself towards Adrian. The Wudang Sect Leader was about to move as he saw that the Heavenly Demon is going to be attacked but he paused when he saw a large dragon shoot out from behind the latter and destroyed the monkey beast.
“Huh! So, that is where the monkey beast apparition that I have seen comes from. I guess it might be a protective measure so that it will not land in the hands of evil people.” Adrian stated without worry but all of the Wudang Sect members were shocked by his strength and the dragon flying above their sect.
“Thank you, Kanlaon.” Adrian stated as he grabbed the golden strand of hair and placed it in his inventory.
As soon as Adrian got what he wanted, he then reversed time in the area until everything went back to where it was. This display of control over time made all of the Wudang Sect members gulp as this is a display of power that is not possible for mortals. The pond reverted back to its pristine self that one could even say that they hallucinated that it was destroyed earlier.
“I have gotten what I came for. I will no longer impose on the Wudang Sect as it seems that all of you need to enter closed doors training or something. No need to see me on my way out as I will head to a different place. Thank you for humoring me and I hope that your sect will rise to the peak once more and help more of those that need it.” Adrian stated as he vanished with a smile on his face.
“Everyone, give one bow before we enter closed door cultivation!” The Wudang Sect Leader stated as they bowed to the area where Adrian was earlier before they entered their training. The eastern continent is then shocked that the Wudang Sect Leader and the elders managed to rise in power drastically.
