Quest Name: Revival of the Monkey King

Quest Difficulty: Special

Quest Description: The Primordial Divine Beast Sun Wukong managed to fracture some parts of his soul when he sacrificed most of it. This ensured that be will be revived just in case most of his divine soul perishes. The Primordial Divine Beast Sun Wukong is a being that can never be killed but it also means he can still be prevented from reviving.

Collect parts of his soul in order to create a new Monkey King. The one that managed to collect all remaining parts of the monkey king’s soul will be able to command the new monkey king as their servant. Since this new monkey king is from the fractured soul of the Primordial Divine Beast Sun Wukong, it will not have the power of the divine beast but will have the potential to become a divine beast.

Clear Condition: Collect Fractured Soul of the Monkey King (2 / 3)

Clear Reward: The Monkey King will either become a pet, mount, or summoned beast.

Failure Condition: Unable to collect all fractured souls.

Failure: The Monkey King will not be revived.

Restriction: This quest cannot be shared and can only be done by the one that collects one of the fragments of the monkey king.

Adrian did not expect that the first fragment was that easy to get as he has seen that a monster possesses it. He did not expect that the hair strand will transform into the monster. The next place he is going to is none other than the southern continent where the supposed vessel of the last fragment is a human being or should be a human being.

“Just one more and it will be completed.” Adrian muttered as he arrived at the southern continent but not on the central side.

Adrian arrived at the south side of the southern continent where everything is full of mountains once again. The mountains are not like the ones in the eastern continent where it is only rocks but the mountains here are filled with trees. As soon as Adrian arrived, he immediately released his senses to check if there would be some resonance to the soul fragment.

Before Adrian could even have some feedback from the release of his energy, a being suddenly appeared behind him. This being was incredibly hostile and even carried a weapon called a Gada which is basically a type of mace. Before the weapon could reach Adrian’s head, the space around him suddenly twisted and blasted the aggressor with chaos energy.

The one that attacked Adrian release a scream of agony as chaos energy is not something even divine beings can handle. Chaos energy is akin to the highest form of energy that will be harmful to beings that do not possess it. This means even the divine being that was about to strike at Adrian fell victim to the harsh effects of chaos energy.

“Temporal Isolation.” Adrian stated as he targeted the one who attacked him.

Adrian is finally able to see the being that dared to attack him and it was none other than a demi human being that is also a demigod level persona. The demi human before him looked like a mixture between a monkey and a human but he does not know if a race like that even exist. He knows that there are Selvaggians from the monkey tribe but not one that has combined features of man and monkey like the being before him.

With the demi human frozen in place, he is able to see that he does not have a tail. Selvaggians are characterized by their animal features and one thing is that they should have a tail if their animal counterparts have one. The fact that the being before him has none means that he is not a descendant of a Selvaggian.

“HWAH!” The demi human shouted as a powerful burst of divine energy shattered the Temporal Isolation spell.

“Oh! You managed to shatter that. It seems that you are more skillful than I thought.” Adrian stated as he did not expect that a being weaker than him in terms of stats could escape from his spell that literally freezes time in that area.

“Die, servant of those useless gods!” The demi human shouted as he once again swung his gada around until it launched itself towards Adrian.

Before the gada could even reach Adrian’s body, shadows from his cloak suddenly intercepted the weapon. Sirius then manifested and let out a warning growl that he will aim for the head if the other party does not calm down. Coincidentally, the demi human being actually heard what Sirius said and instantly froze because of fear.

“It seems that there was a misunderstanding on my part.” Adrian stated but a banana shaped object suddenly flew towards them in an arc.

The banana like object then exploded to release a horrifying smelling gas as if it was concentrated monkey fart. Adrian then summoned Kanlaon to blow away the horrific smelling gas. Only to find out that his captive has vanished from the place where he was floating. Seeing that the monsters that threw the special banana saved the demi human, one could believe that they are of the same faction.

“His words were such a shocker though. I thought the southern continent is very devout since they live with their gods here after all.” Adrian thought as the horrifying smelling has been cleared out by Kanlaon.

The smoke cleared but the holder of the last soul fragment vanished. Adrian then turned towards Sirius to check if he could sniff out the being that they are targeting. Sirius then nodded which means he can still track them even though they have vanished from Adrian’s senses.

“He should not have escaped because he is on the brink of death. The soul fragment is too much for his body to bear. It will not surprise me if he drops dead but that is also a problem since another god related to death might claim his soul.”
