- Chapter 298: In The Advanced District, The Awakener Lord is Observing

Leon reread the description once before nodding slowly.
“It’s less straightforward than the [Phoenix Embers], but this definitely sounds like a combat-oriented ember,” he analyzed calmly, “Especially since it mentions burning souls directly. That’s dangerous.”
“Yay~”
Celeste looked extremely happy hearing that.
“Let’s leave first,” Leon said while glancing around the divine temple, noticing many players staring at them because of the earlier reactions to his combat power, “I have a lot of items I need to give both of you, but I’d rather not stay here longer than necessary.”
It wasn’t because he feared anybody in the divine temple. Quite the opposite.
At this point, even Emilia or Celeste alone could probably annihilate almost every player currently here.
Leon simply didn’t feel like attracting unnecessary attention.
“Leave.”
Ding!
[You are being transported to “Higher Domain #3”]
The three of them immediately turned into particles of light as the divine temple disappeared around them.
Moments later, Leon felt his feet touch solid ground again.
Thud!
He took a deep breath instinctively before slowly opening his eyes.
Ding!
[You have completed the second God-Rank assessment and has received 200 Reputation Points.]
[Reputation Points: 700]
’Only 50 more for the next milestone.’
“It’s only been two days,” he muttered while looking around, “But honestly… I kinda missed this place.”
The first thing he noticed was that they weren’t standing in the same area where they originally entered the divine temple.
And that immediately made sense once the system panel appeared before him.
Ding!
[You have reached Level 75 and completed your advancement assessment.]
[You have automatically been transported to the “Advanced District”]
“Makes sense.”
They were still inside the [Awakener Kingdom], but this was no longer the [Newbie District].
Leon looked around carefully while Celeste and Emilia did the same beside him.
The difference between the districts was honestly obvious from the very first glance.
The streets were much larger, the buildings looked far more luxurious, and the amount of aura coming from the players walking around was incomparably higher than before.
Even the atmosphere itself felt more intense. The [Advanced District] was where actual strong players started gathering.
And beyond this place… was the [Awakener District], the place Leon needed to reach next.
Though unlike before, entering it wouldn’t simply require levels.
He would need to pass the special trial given by the [Awakener Lord]. And honestly, Leon already had a bad feeling about it.
“Alright,” Leon finally spoke while turning toward the two girls, “I think we can afford taking a small break for now after everything that happened recently.”
Honestly, even he didn’t feel like immediately rushing into another dangerous situation.
“I’ll organize the items I want to give both of you in the meantime.”
“I’m starving~” Emilia complained while holding her stomach dramatically, “This district looks way richer than the [Newbie District], so let’s find a restaurant first.”
“Agreed,” Celeste nodded excitedly while looking around with interest, “Everything looks much better here.”
They really weren’t exaggerating either. Even the stores nearby looked far more advanced than anything they had previously seen.
It was the kind of place that immediately motivated players to continue climbing higher just to see what the next districts looked like.
Yet right as the three of them were about to start moving through the square—
Beep!
A system panel suddenly appeared directly in front of Leon.
[The “Awakener Lord” is observing you. You appear to have caught his interest.]
Leon stared at the panel for a second before immediately sighing.
“Ah shit, here we go again.”
“Did you two also receive a panel just now?” Leon asked immediately the moment the notification disappeared from his vision.
“No.”
Celeste and Emilia answered at almost the exact same time before exchanging confused looks.
“Alright…”
Leon narrowed his eyes slightly after hearing that.
So the [Awakener Lord] truly only had his attention focused on him specifically.
At first, Leon assumed it might simply be because he was stronger than most players currently inside the [Advanced District], especially after clearing the God-Rank assessment, but the more he thought about it, the stranger it became.
After all, Celeste and Emilia were also absurdly talented players.
Celeste possessed multiple embers and a terrifying growth rate, while Emilia had one of the most monstrous magic-oriented talents Leon had ever seen.
And yet the [Awakener Lord] specifically chose to contact only him.
’He definitely sensed something,’ Leon thought while walking through the large streets of the district, ’Maybe my combat power, maybe the title, or maybe something else entirely.’
Regardless, Leon already knew this meeting was unavoidable from the very beginning.
In order to enter the [Awakener District], he would eventually have to meet the [Awakener Lord] and pass the special advancement test. There was simply no way around it.
And honestly, Leon wanted to see the [Awakener District] before leaving [Higher Domain #3] anyway.
There were still far too many things he wanted to accomplish before eventually returning to [Higher Domain #1].
Yet at the same time, he also understood that he couldn’t spend too much time here.
Once he reached level 100, the effect of his [Celestial] title would immediately force him toward the [Eternal Battlefield].
And while Leon knew that countless opportunities existed there, he also knew the dangers would be incomparably worse than anything he had experienced until now.
The mere thought of that place was enough to make him shudder.
’I need to organize everything properly before then,’ Leon thought calmly, ’But for now… I can finally breathe a little.’
Especially since the curse of the [Will of Nature] was still affecting him.
Leon opened his status panel while walking.
[Level: 75 (0/1,500,000)]
He grinned at the sight.
A normal player would currently require around 750,000 experience points to level up, which was already considered an absurd amount by most standards.
But because of the curse placed on him, Leon required exactly double that amount. And it would only get worse from here.
From levels 75 to 90, the experience increase per level rose by 50,000 normally.
For Leon though, that meant a 100,000 increase every level.
And after level 90, the scaling became even more ridiculous because the experience requirements no longer increased linearly. They exploded exponentially.
That was why so many players spent months or even years trapped between levels later in the game.
Eventually, after walking around the district for a while, the trio stopped in front of a massive restaurant filled with players.
The difference between this place and the ones in the [Newbie District] was honestly ridiculous.
The building itself looked luxurious enough to belong to royalty back on Earth.
“Food first,” Emilia declared immediately.
“Agreed~” Celeste nodded rapidly.
Leon already knew where this was going.
A few minutes later, the entire table was filled to the point it almost collapsed under the amount of food stacked on it.
Mostly because Celeste and Pyra were apparently still furious about being forced to survive on bad food during the assessment.
“Kyu~”
While the two of them practically inhaled everything in sight, Leon finally decided it was time to give them the rewards he had prepared.
“Alright,” Leon grinned while opening his [Storage Space], “Time for your gifts.”
